Blancas Cakes

We got a cake from them last week. It was so good and decorated very nice. They were very friendly and helpful.

They did a fantastic job on my boyfriends birthday cake!!! I only had a crappy internet picture of what I wanted and they were able to do such an awesome job interpreting it. I’ll be coming back for sure!

I was SO happy with my wedding cake from Blanca’s! I gave her a picture of what I wanted, and she gave me a quote. I changed my mind about a month before the wedding, sent her a new picture, and she made it happen without a change in price. The cake was flawless, beautiful, elegant, and delicious! Not only was the cake PERFECT, but she delivered it to my wedding venue, two hours outside of San Antonio. Price was awesome! So pleased with the entire experience. I will definitely return to Blanca’s in the future.

I started coming to Blanca’s shortly after she opened. I’ve bought every one of my family and kids birthday cakes from here. I got tired of the subpar service at Lucy’s and the lack of caring, not to mention wait times. I needed to find a new place. We happened to drive by Blanca’s after a disappointing visit to Lucy’s off Marchbach/​410.
The first person I met was Blanca’s husband. He was awesome and very professional. He wanted to ensure our custom cake design was written up correctly. He called out Blanca from the back. She reviewed our order and was also very sweet. Our next visit we were told we could email a photo of any cake we’d like. As a family… all my kids an the adults have been extremely happy with the end result. Not only the taste but the design. Blanca’s prices are very fair for custom cakes. I normally email them a month in advance and follow up to ensure the email was received. They are always happy to go over the entire order. One time my hubby was in the hospital so life was hectic. I only gave them two weeks on a custom cake and luckily they were still able to get it done. My grandsons 1^st birthday smash cake (farm animal them) along with my sons mine craft, daughter’s batman, baby shower topper cake for a cupcake display tower… just to name a few were all perfect. I’d highly recommend taking in a photo and being as detailed with any changes. Keep in mind the more time you provide the better. It’s difficult walking into a bakery and describing what you want without showing them any photo ideas. I’m sure they can do it, but remember… what you have it mind versus what you describe may not always be spot on. My husband bought my b-​day cake directly from Blanca’s case and it was perfect too. We will continue to use Blanca’s for every celebration where cakes are needed. This bakery is very passionate about customer service. Blanca takes pride in her business. It shows in the work she provides. Give her shop a try… I recommend her to everyone now.

We had a very good experience with Blanca! My fiancé and I scheduled and appointment to taste cakes and also describe what we wanted and get a quote. Every time we have called or visited this shop, people are extremely friendly and patient. We sat down for our tasting and Blanca herself helped us through the process. She was caring, patient, and not pushy at all. She also had her cell phone ring a few times during our tasting and she didn’t even budge to answer it, which made us feel important and was also extremely professional. The best part about this appointment was Blanca telling us the story of how she got started with cakes and how far she’s come. It was like she really took the time to open up to us and get to know us. She wrote us up a quote and then told us «no rush, go home and talk it over, think about it and when you are ready give me a call». PERFECT… someone who would like your business SHOULD speak to you that way, not in a pushy way. We are going to look around a few more places just to be sure, but wanted to post a review just to praise Blanca’s impeccable customer service. Highly recommend!

This was my first and LAST time ordering a cake from this place. Don’t be fooled by this shop! While the cakes may look nice, they are also very unreliable. Ordered a cake earlier this week and maybe they forgot it was 4^th of July weekend but if they had pick-​ups scheduled during regular store hours they should have been there to honor those pick-​ups especially when the items were already paid for. Scheduled my pickup at 7 – 7:30 and I get a call at 4:50 saying they are closing at 6 (while I’m at work and can’t leave to pick up my order). They are very irresponsible and this have bad business ethics.

I am overwhelmingly happy with the baby shower cake Blancas Cakes designed, I wouldn’t have had it any other way! They’re further and a bit pricier, but I ended up choosing Blancas Cakes over the other shops because of their best tasting cake and frosting sample and friendly customer service. Alex from Blancas Cakes was patient and reassured me as we collaborated the cake design based on the party’s theme. The end result was a very beautiful baby animal safari theme tiered cake, that perfectly matched the actual animals i used for decorations, and delicious DELICIOUS red velvet+ cream cheese bottom and white + bavarian cream top. I received numerous compliments on the design and cake flavor and taste simply took it over the top. I’m very pleased and ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would recommend, thank you!

They didn’t listen to me one bit! I originally went there a few weeks ago to see how much a Lego cake would cost and they wrote a quote and told me an estimation on how much so I can think about it. I went back the week of the party and told them I changed my mind and want a different picture. I provided them the picture and told them this is what I wanted exactly. The only thing that looked like the picture was the fact it had a Lego man and some bricks but that’s all. Other than that it didn’t look like nothing the picture shows. My husband picked up the cake before they closed on Saturday while I was at work so I wasn’t able to look at the cake and the party is on Sunday so I was stuck with it. If you take them a picture don’t expect to get what you asked for. Never again will I come back here again.

I literally called 24 hours before I needed the cake, and they made it happen. Everywhere I called either had ugly cakes, bad reviews, bad tasting cake, or they were booked. I was so excited when they guy who answered said yes, they’d do the cake for me! I was SHOCKED when he told me the price it would be $ 95.00!!! That’s seriously so cheap for the amazing job they did. I had called around other places and the cakes didn’t look anywhere near as awesome as this cake and for around $ 200.00. I was NOT going to pay that much for an unsatisfactory cake. Now this cake I would’ve paid at least $ 150.00 for.
The staff was very nice. They helped me with the cake to the car. They smiled and were talkative with me. I felt like I was a regular. That’s rare in places.
I definitely will be coming back again! For all of my cake needs. Decorations are awesome! Cake tastes great! Prices are awesome! Place looks very clean. Staff is friendly. I don’t know what other things I could say. Lol!
