I visited this location on the recommendation of a friend and I must say it was a great recommendation. When I arrived at Arturo’s it was apparent that the restaurant was small but they must be good because there was a line out the door just to place your order. I stood in line for about 10 minutes and once it was my turn to order the staff was über friendly and inquired on how my morning was before they even asked what I wanted. To me customer service is huge so it was nice to be treated so kindly even though there were in an obvious rush to serve everyone in a timely manner. Arturo’s serves tamales, pork carnitas, barbacoa and menudo all available to go or for dine in. What I came for specifically was the barbacoa. My friend raved that they have the best lean barbacoa around so I ordered a pound along with a dozen of the corn and flour tortillas. I realized that this was a lot of tortillas for just a pound of barbacoa but I wanted to give both the corn and flour a try. Let me tell you the barbacoa did not disappoint. The meat had great flavor and was not fatty like other places I have ordered from. The tortillas were pretty good too as you could tell that the tortillas were homemade which is always a plus in my book. It’s always nice to come across a business that serves a superior product has a staff that is super friendly. If you are looking for barbacoa on the weekend I would highly recommend you give Arturo’s a shot.
