327 Sunset Alamo Heights Apartments

Awesome apartments we moved in beginning of 2016! My wife and I were looking to stay in the Alamo Heights area. We noticed the new construction going up more than a year ago. We did not start looking at 327 Sunset until the summer of 2015 as our current lease expired at the end of the 2015. The staff was very accommodating, friendly, and they followed up on us given the dates we had given for move out from our existing Apartment (also in the Alamo Heights area). We elected to go with the spacious 3 bedroom with a view of the Alamo Heights Skyline. We love our new home, we are the first to live in it as it was newly constructed and all the amenities are awesome and we are very pleased with our decision. The apartments are still being constructed in some areas so you do have to deal with the small inconvenience of construction. With that said the small café, large mail room, onsite gym, and onsite lounge (pool table) and pool area are all completed and available for use. We are definitely happy for our decision and love our new home.

Luxury? Really? In comparison to what?
When I hear luxury I expect a staff that works together to help make things run smoothly. I was drawn to this place because it’s a new construction and the 3 bedroom apartment was pretty spacious. I should have listened to my instincts after we were quoted wrong on our apartment and we weren’t even getting the apartment we were promised to begin with. I let it go because the commute from here to my work was only 10−15minutes and I had limited time for apartment hunting.
The group of women that «manage» this place are NOT at all helpful! They randomly check their emails or atleast seem like they forget to response to their tenant’s emails. It’s so frustrating working with them! Even the assistant property manager didn’t know that monthly rent can be paid via credit card! How does that happen? Don’t these girls get oriented?
The apartment itself is nice, minus the paper thin walls. When we toured the apartment, the lady showing it to us said the apartment has hardwood floors. One quick glance at the lamintated floors and even a novice would know the difference. The walls are also paper thin. We can hear our neighbors footsteps above us.
We were also promised that the swimming pool and gym would be ready by mid-​September. Unfortunately, that also was inaccurate. Apparently, some of the gym equipment was delivered broken so who knows when the gym will be ready. As of know, they are still doing construction on the pool area.
If you’re looking for «luxury» apartments, look elsewhere. This property lacks in many ways. It’s not worth the high rent prices at all!
