18|8 Fine Men’s Salons – San Antonio

Brandon is your guy. I have not had a hair cut in over 2 years and wanted a short hair cut that I had 4 years ago. I brought in a picture and I can’t say enough good things about Brandon or the Ladies at the front. My Girlfriend has never seen me with out long hair and was worried, but she saw what Brandon did and she keeps telling me how great my hair looks short.

Very upscale and courteous! Brandon treated my dad as though he was his. He took his time and was very thorough. Dad said he felt like a million bucks.
For $ 50 my dad (who qualified for the distinguished gentlemens cut) got a trendy new hair cut, a hot stone neck massage, and hot towel beard trim.
He even gets a two week post cut clean up for free! For an upscale experience visit 18|8 and even more so, ask for Brandon! His customer service skills are top notch!

This place is great! I went in with just an idea of what I wanted, and Brandon knocked it out of the park. I’ve gone to him 3 times, and he does a top notch job every time. My boyfriend goes here as well, and his hair looks great every time as well. Everyone there is super nice, and you can’t go wrong. Keep up the great work, guys!

I walked in and I got taken care immediately. I felt like a was back home in downtown Chicago.
I was offered a great beer, they change the channel so I could see the Sunday football game.
My stylist Mitra did a superb job, my wife approved the haircut so green light. I just found my new hair salon.

We found this place on our way to eat, I got an appointment for my 11 year old son.
When we returned we were nicely greeted, all over again, and offered to help ourselves to complimentary drinks. The wait was minimal, or stylist took the time to listen and understand what we r wanted to accomplish with my boy’s hairstyle.
He was offered a robe and shampoo although reclined on the latter to make the trip shorter.
The stylist did an excellent job with the scissors and elves the final results. He even various a conversation with my kid.
They even agreed to change the channel so we could watch a football game.
Sadly we don’t live in San Antonio but will totally go back if we’re in town when haircuts for my boys are needed.

I know I’m a minority here being a woman reviewing a men’s salon but I love this place way too much not to let the Unilocal world know that you need to visit 18|8.
I can’t say much about the hot towels on your face since I opt out of that part of the experience, but I can attest to how spot on this place is in just about every other aspect. From the selection of various beer and other beverages when you walk in (including Shiner on tap) to the executive reclining chairs, to the top notch professionals who cut your hair, I really can’t think of one negative thing to say about this place.
I walked into 18|8 with a botched undercut done by my longtime stylist at another salon and was immediately greeted by the extremely receptive staff (including the owner). I brought a few pictures and my stylist Veronica helped me pull several aspects of different pictures to get me the exact haircut I wanted despite my botched haircut. She listened and took the time to hear me out throughout my haircut to make sure it was coming along the way I wanted it to. I’m fairly new to the short hair world so she is great about coaching me on how to properly cut it, depending on how I want it to grow in.
Never once have I felt like my cut was rushed — which I have definitely experienced at other salons. The shop itself offers deals every month if you buy certain products or services and the prices on products are competitive with places like Ulta or other beauty suppliers. I would definitely encourage any gentlemen (or ladies) I know to check this place out.

It was great to receive a haircut and all the amenities provided to you at this fine men’s salon. It is more than just a haircut… it is an experience! If you have sometime to indulge and relax during the next time you need to get a haircut… go no further and you can start by having beer from their drink bar tap.
Before the haircut, you can change to hang your shirt and they provide you a haircut robe top so that you don’t have to worry about getting hair on your clothes.
As a new customer you receive: The Executive Haircut (5-​minute neck and shoulder massage, shampoo before an expert haircut, scalp cleansing/​conditioner, hot towel finish). I was given three promo cards for ten dollars off to hand to friends, and a card for a free touch-​up haircut.

This place was fantastic! I took my brother and he was assisted by Erika– she was awesome! The place was clean and well kept. The staff was wonderful and friendly– overall my brother is going back and WILL go to Erika!

My father, a WW II Normandy vet, was treated to a spa day (noon-4:00) for his birthday. One stylist, Amanda, handled all the treatments. She was exceptional and he appreciated not being «handed off» to multiple stylists. His day was so relaxing that, as a result, he left looking ten years younger– seriously! I also enjoyed a glass of wine while waiting for the finishing touches. Such a pleasurable experience for all. Thank you Fashion Week SA 2015 for the tip!

I did a walk-​in appointment for my fiancé. Just FYI to anyone who is brining their partner for a cut– bring a book or be prepared to go shopping at Huebner Oaks!!! I did neither and unexpectedly waited 2+ hours for Steven to get his haircut.
That being said, Steven had a fantastic experience and looked HOT (teehee) after they were done! For $ 37, you get a fridge full of sodas and beer, snacks, shoulder/​head massage, an exceptionally skilled haircut, and all the product you want to try. As someone who was waiting for their partner getting a haircut, i was treated very well and i could tell that the staff at the front loved their job. We will be back!

My husband and I were shopping at the Huebner Oaks shopping center and he decided to go into this new place called ¹⁸⁄₈ Fine Mens Salon and get a haircut, I was shocked because he has always gone to the same barbershop for years… needless to say… we were WOW’d and amazed at the whole experience! They were busy helping other customers but as soon as we walked in we were greeted with a warm welcome and offered a cold beer/​water for our short wait. My husband made a comment on how nice & clean it was in there and how relaxed he was. Oh and he absolutely loved his haircut, scalp treatment and the massage … Just the whole experience!
