Speed-Dee Wash

There is potential here. There was no one in sight to tidy the place up, so while I was waiting for my items to dry, I picked up all the used dryer sheets left scattered on the floor by lazy customers and also gum and candy wrappers and selected trash from around the machines and tables, it looked rather presentable. The machines seemed to work fine. Clean the place up and I will come back.

This place really sucks since the last owner, who was great, sold the place. Half of the machines are out of order, the credit card machines are confusing and don’t always work. When you call the phone number, somebody gets back to you a week later. Even the wi-​fi doesn’t work — wrong password. I miss the former owner.

I think this laundromat has potential (I understand a new owner has purchased it in the last 3 months). Good that it has free WiFi, and it’s in a great location. Easy parking right out front in their lot. They allow credit cards as well as coins, which is a really nice feature.
However, I was there on a Tuesday evening around 6 pm, and I found it really dirty (floor was so dirty with water, lint, dirt and debris that I didn’t want my dirty clothes to fall on the floor. The machines’ receptacles for laundry soap, softener, etc were all gummy and dirty. No sink for water and no paper towels available so I could clean some of this up myself before using the machines. At the end of the night (I came back at 10 pm to dry one more load), the cleaning staff was there t clean the floors and counters, and I noticed they throw away (into the garbage) every clothing item that has been left behind. I did not see them cleaning the machine detergent receptacles. Atmosphere is not inspired.
Suggestions: Have paper towels, a laundry sink, and water faucet available (I needed to dilute my concentrated spot remover, and I couldn’t). Create a lost and found bin, and donate unclaimed items weekly. Set up recycling bins next to the trash. Consider requiring liquid detergent only, so the machines won’t be gummed up with undissolved soap and residue. Play classical music. Paint the walls, and add some warmth. Also consider a bank of machines that are for biodegradable and organic laundry products only. Meanwhile, I am going back to Larkspur, which costs the same but is a more enjoyable experience.

My first visit and really impressed! I guess they recently upgraded and added wifi and credit card machines (No more need for quarters!!!) but they still take quarters.
I’ll be back!

This is the cleanest laundry mat I have ever been too. I love the windows and open feel.
It is also one of the most inexpensive in the area.
New Owner installed new machines.
