This is my second time here and I am very impressed. The service is always prompt and friendly. Most importantly the food is outstanding and very fresh and the prices are some of the best in town. I will definitely be coming back again and again.

Great food and price was reasonable. It’s a must stop if you’re traveling through San Angelo

Great hole in the wall Mexican spot, décor reflects the«hole-in-the-wallness» about it. Very nice staff and service.

The prices are low and the options are plenty. The cook doesn’t seem to care for customization according to the waitresses. The food is average and the seating area is small.

Lived in San Angelo for 15 years and had never tried this place. Oh, the horror! I have missed some of the best Tex-Mex ever. Although the ambience leaves something to be desired(how many tables can you squeeze into one little room?), anyone that puts a fried egg on enchiladas are tops in my book. Delicious! For non-Mexican lovers, try the burger. My husband thinks they are one of the best in town. Huge and greasy, with greasy hand cut fries to compliment. We will definitely be back!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Angelo. In college this was my go to spot. Now, every time I’m in town, I make it a point to stop by and get my fix. The chips and salsa are great. My usual is the beef enchiladas. The portions are large and the price is cheap. The service is always fast and good. Keep in mind if you come here during the week for lunch, get there before noon otherwise you will likely wait for a table.

This place was super busy! Busy=popular=good food, right? I ordered a carne asada burrito. I do not think they know what a burrito is because I got a tortilla folded in half with a piece of carne asada and thats it. My brother ordered 2 tacos and 2 enchiladas. He threw his in the trash after half and said, «I just cant do this, its so bad.»

Far from being good Tex Mex, so far we have been sadly disappointed in the Mexican Food in San Angelo. Herberts or Garcias from San Marcos Tx could make a fortune out here.

San Angelo should be a town where you can get outstanding Mexican food and awesome beef. Sadly it’s actually neither. Hidalgo’s is another in a long line of failures that call themselves Authentic Mexican food. Most of the menu comes with it’s own sauce, sadly that sauce is grease, grease and more grease with absolutely no flavor what so ever. Again you are better off grabbing some fresh tortilla’s(of which Angelo abounds and they are wonderful) and making your food at home. I hate to say it but Hidalgo’s is another BIGMISS in my book.
