Best roof top patio in Salt Lake hands down! I love the crowd that tends to gather here as well. If you’re looking for a down to earth place to hang in SLC this is your place!

If there was an option for Zero stars I would have chosen it. This place is the most pathetic excuse for a bar I have ever seen. If you want lipstick stains on your glass, incompetent bartenders with a 1st grade education and the old managing staff of chuckie cheeses then do yourself a favor and go here.

The Pig rocks!!! We go there every weekend as well as the occasional trivia and blues night. The staff is always very courteous(remembering us always!!!) the drinks are great, and the beers cold. The food is TREMENDOUS

I’m new to SLC. Relocated from Indiana for work. My girlfriend was up from FL to visit over the Holiday weekend(July 4th). We found Green Pig Pub on Unilocal and decided to check it out before going out to the bars. We ate on the rooftop patio which was really nice. Our food was pretty good. Service was fast and decent. The problems started when my girlfriend from FL felt something on her leg and found three huge cockroaches climbing up her legs. She natrually freaked out, flipped the table and chairs trying to get away. My husband was picking up the furniture and saw several on the ground. We couldn’t really see them before since it was dark outside and limited light on the rooftop. We couldn’t even begin to consider eating/drinking there. Most of the people on the rooftop actually left due to the roaches. We couldn’t get our check so we just went up to the bar to try and get our checks. The bartender asked how our experience was. I asked him if he was serious since we know he saw the gigantic cluster over the roaches. His response was very rude and extremely sarcastic. We weren’t looking for free food or drinks or anything… didn’t ask or even suggest it. We definitely didn’t deserve this aholes rude and ignorant comment(s). We won’t be back to the Green Pig EVER

This is such a laid back, cool place. The staff is so damn polite, the food is great and the prices on drinks are cheap. I’m here once a week and this is most definitely my favorite spot to watch a football game while having a beer.

Sitting on the upstairs patio and drinking a beer, watching the sun set. Nothing could be better, except if I had a cigar… or another plate of their delicious wings. Nice place!!!

Great place for drinks and good food. I definitely recommend this place to anyone. Locally owned and operated. I always have a good time when there. In the summer the Roof Patio is awesome! Even when it’s cold it’s nice just throw on some warm clothing but the drinks will help with that also ;-)

Can’t wait to return in the summer. The rooftop patio looked like it could be a great time. Visiting from out of state and decided to give the Green Pig a shot. It was inviting, the service was great, pub food was filling and best yet, we didn’t feel like we were in Utah. After a few days of not being able to order a drink without food, it was a fantastic.

We went on a Sunday, got there shortly after opening and lots of seats avail, but it filled up pretty quickly. The guy who checked us in was great, helpful. Our waitress barely came by and forgot our drink until we reminded her. Lots of TVs to show all the football games and several drink specials. All you can eat brunch for $ 13 was good, except the guy making the omelettes and waffles kept disappearing until other staff had to go find him.

I had the blackened salmon tacos and they are spicy and delicious. Guy got the angry burger and it fell apart after 1 bite so he had to eat it with a fork-That sucks. But worst of all– if you’re going to advertise $ 3 draft beers and then never mention it’s only on certain beers then you are basically lying. End of story. Do your job and inform your customers of what they are paying for before they get the bill.

What I consumed: wings, sliders, mojitos and nachos Food Quality: above average bar food Environment: typical dive sports bar Service: average Appearance: average Overall: the bar is located in walking distance from the heart of downtown. I came for the WSU/Utah game. The food was OK and the environment was average. Be aware that this bar is for Utah fans! If you are trying to catch a college game that’s on at the same time as a Utah game, you may have your game changed whether you like it or not.

Great food and service. An extrovert’s dream for game day, trivia on Sunday night(something fun on Sunday in SLC is a god send, pun intended), and plenty of screens everywhere. A little small, but the roof top is an awesome way to hangout downtown in good weather.

Stopped by The Green Pig on 9÷13÷15 at around 7pm with some friends. We’d come by to take part in the dine o’round event, but they were out of the dine o’round special. Disappointed, we debated leaving to try another participant restaurant, but decided to stay and try some food from the regular menu. We decided to go upstairs and sit outside, which was very enjoyable. The view was nice and the outdoor atmosphere was relaxed. Our server was pleasant and attentive. In fact, all the staff I encountered were quite friendly. The cocktail menu wasn’t very impressive. I decided to go with the Moscow Mule, since it’s a drink I generally enjoy. The menu says it’s made with ginger beer, but it tasted like ginger ale. When asked what brand the ginger beer was, she said it came from Pepsi, so… 99% sure it’s ginger ale. It wasn’t a bad drink as I do enjoy ginger ale, but if someone is expecting the more robust flavor of ginger beer it’s kind of a let down. Also, considering it is an $ 8 drink and the other drinks are about $ 5, one would expect there to be ginger beer for the price difference. One of my dining companions and I shared the avocado eggroll appetizer and the sliders. The sliders were good but more on the average side, nothing really made them stand out. The avocado eggrolls though were really delicious and I would absolutely order them again in the future. I snagged a fry from my other dining companion and the fries were tasty – above average for sure. I also got to taste the clam chowder ordered by the aforementioned dining companion and it was fantastic. I actually felt disappointed that I hadn’t ordered the soup, but at that point I wasn’t hungry anymore. As a whole package, I felt like my Green Pig experience was pretty good, but nothing really jumped out at me and yelled, ‘you want to return!’. I would definitely come back again(the food was worth returning for, but not the drinks) if it was suggested by a future dining companion, though it wouldn’t be a place that would instantly spring to my mind.

I went here Thursday for lunch. Our waiter/bartender was amazing and very friendly. She made us mimosas, checked on us frequently, and made excellent recommendations… she was just on it. The food is good. They have good sized portions and a ton of gluten free options. The atmosphere is nice as well. The bar is cozy and the patio is cool.

I feel like a hobo because despite seeing great dishes come out of the kitchen like fish tacos, stacked burgers and an amazing looking Nacos verde, I opted for the fries. I’ve not regretted the decision though. Hand cut crispy and delicious, perfectly seasoned with sea salt and fresh cracked pepper. Did I mention smothered with fresh pig(bacon) and cheddar, served with«Utah fry sauce». This was my only mild disappointment as the famous Utah fry dip was little more than ketchup mixed with mayonnaise, but it still complemented things well. I added 2 local brews and a good tip, around $ 25. Patio fantastic, live music on weekends, sometimes Thursday as well.

What more can I say about the greatest nachos this side of the Wasatch mountains? The chile verde nachos are hands down the best nachos I’ve ever had in my life. So much that I honestly find myself craving them 2 – 3 times a week. Being from CA, I’ve had myself some mean nachos, but none as good as these. They are always served piping hot, with mountains of cheese, chips, and chile verde pork. They’re photo perfect every time. The chile verde sauce is not too spicy, but it has excellent flavor a a nice little kick. One secret is to ask to add a little bacon to these bad boys. Never been disappointed in the quality of the food here. Drinks are great! My wife and I don’t mind the tall boy cans for $ 3 at all! We have tried the delicious«Wet P***y» shots and have had the bartender make us a peach flavored shot made with the yellow tropical Red Bull every time. Absolutely delicious. Definitely the best starter spot for a night out downtown!

This is a good pub. When you come on a busy night you will have to fight to get the bartender’s attention but the food is totally decent pub grub. Green Pig is one of two traditional starting places for our Main Street Pub Crawl™ because the drinks are good(they have cider which is always a selling point for us) and we can eat before we really get going, which is essential to proper pub crawling. I’m told by a trustworthy source that the Chili Verde is excellent; I cannot attest to this personally as I don’t like Chili Verde of any quality but my friend is something of a connoisseur of the stuff, so you’re not misplacing your trust. I quite like the Season Fries myself and they make a pretty respectable burger, it’s a little pricey for just okay but definitely not a rip off.

Ehhhhh. It’s really expensive, generic bar food. This place earns stars for being able to provide a good time, and staff is super nice. They have great trivia nights on Wednesday and Sunday, and it’s a great way to bring people together. I would have a drink here during trivia, but I would not recommend eating here.

Laid back atmosphere and awesome chicken wings. I was in town for the night and swung by for a few drinks and grub. They also had $ 3 special on whiskey and tequila shots past a certain time. I had a dozen wings in hot buffalo and they were amazing. Very saucy, meaty and well cooked.

Our first stop in Salt Lake City — Green Pig Pub! As we walk in automatic ID scan. Even individuals that looked like they were over 45 had to have an ID scan. The bars in SLC are defiently strict! First impression. Its a pretty chill place. There’s a large TV screens to watch the games. There is a balcony upstairs where you can eat and have a drink. We decided to stay indoors. I ordered Carne Asada Tacos. It comes with 3 tacos. The portion of each taco is ginormous! I could barely eat it! It was so big! It had a different taste to it. I think because it had like a ricotta cheese and also cabbage, two ingredients that most mexican shops in Vegas don’t normally use in their tacos. The beau ordered his usual Wings and fries. Those hot wings were freaking HOT! So hot I couldn’t even finish 1 wing! The fries were cooked to perfection though. It came with a sauce that had a thousand island taste to it which I liked. They had my favorite drink, Moscow Mule! YUMM! I also got a drink called The Fig. Both drinks I thought were extremely delicious but gosh I don’t think they put any alcohol in their drinks! They tasted way too good and I didn’t feel any type of way after I drank them. Service was good. The waitress came by and checked on us periodically and made sure we were doing ok.
