Pros: Prosciutto burger is one of the best burgers i have ever tasted, Falafels are great too. Hot dog with all the toppings are delicious. Cons: a little bit expensive, takes a while to get your order. At the U, the class breaks are only 15 mins. this food truck takes about 20 – 30 mins to get my order :(

When you don’t have time to go off campus on your lunch break but you want something slightly more flavorful than the union’s food court options, the food trucks are always a good bet. And this particular food truck gets most of my business. Why? Well, their falafel wrap is top-notch. Crispy falafel, fresh produce(today the tomatoes were especially delicious) and some sort of crazy good sauce all wrapped in a doughy pita. It’s $ 6, which I guess is a little pricey, but when you think about it, it’s really not much more than you’d spend on a mediocre fast food meal, and about the same for anything you’d get in the union. They often sell out of the falafel before 1 p.m., so I was pleasantly surprised that they had it today. I’ve also had the kimchi dog(delicious, but a bit acidic to digest) and the banh mi, and both exceeded my expectations. I also liked that they offer coconut water when you’re sick of regular water but know that you should avoid the sodas. Plus the workers are friendly and pretty fast. What more could you want for a cheapish, tasty lunch break?

I vacillate between a-ok and yay I am a fan on this truck. I love it, most times, I don’t so much other times. It’s a toss up. This last visit was for lunch on the U campus. I had the Kimchi Burger and the Kimchi fries! It was pure awesome goodness all the way around. All was well. Other times I have had a decent burger and kinda soggy fries. It varies too much to say it is more than A-OK at this time, but I have high hopes for them and I will be back for sure. The big thing is it is relaly nice to have them available on campus.

This is probably my most favorite food truck in Salt Lake City. Lewis Bros is a mesh burgers and fries with kimchi and other very flavorful additions. I am actually surprised I have not reviewed the truck yet. I would highly suggest the kimchi fries and either the banh mi or the pastrami burger. Getting both ensures you a very substantial lunch or dinner. I really like their aioli and sriracha mix with the fries. Sometimes they can be a little slow, but it has always been worth the wait. The ingredients have always been fresh and the staff has always been friendly. Occasionally they will run out of items which is a bummer, but sometimes I ask for something I have previously had not on the menu at the time and they cook it up. Since it is a food truck, location matters. Lewis Bros is usually in a convenient area for my liking(near downtown), but they post their locations on Twitter and Facebook which leaves the guessing game to a few clicks of the smartphone or computer. Lewis Bros accepts cash and cards via Square. So next time you are at an event downtown or up at the U check out Lewis Bros. They also do events if you want so feed a lot of people.

I tried the $ 6 Banh Mi sandwich(you can choose pork or chicken, I had the pork) at the U/U. Delicious! Hearty french roll, moist and tender pork, marinated daikon radish and carrot strips on top. Service was fast, and the guys working in the truck were friendly. I would order from them again. You can’t beat the price. I want to try the kimchi fries next.

The banh mi is back in full force. Their revamped version comes with your choice of pulled pork or lemongrass chicken. In a development that will shock anybody who knows me, I preferred the chicken. Aside from the main protein, though, the rest of the sandwich is the same regardless of your protein choice. First improvement is the bread. What used to be soft and would fall apart after about ten seconds of sandwich construction is now substantial. Kudos for the traditional baguette shape, too, though the texture isn’t the usual shatteringly crisp exterior. It’s more chewy, I’m-pretty-sure-I-detect-the-work-of-Stoneground kind of bread instead. What hasn’t changed is that lovely chicken liver pâté. It’s the best pâté on a banh mi in town. I asked for extra on the second sandwich and was glad I did. Vegetation is spare. I could honestly have used a bit more of the pickled vegetables, but then I’m also the guy who orders lots of extras on my Oh Mai sandwich in an attempt to convince myself that I’m really eating a salad. And speaking of them, it’s worth comparing, right? Smaller sandwich here at Lewis Bros and $ 2 more on the price. That said, I’m going to be craving that pâté now and again and will thus be paying the premium.

Some of the best burgers in SLC and it comes from a food truck. I have visited this truck many times while up at the U of U and after nights of drinking beers with the friends. One of my favorites. I highly suggest checking this place out. The banh mi was not the best I’ve had though.

Food is definitely over priced. It tasted fine, but I got a medium to small sized sandwich for over $ 5.

Novel menu, well-done. I wish it was a little easier to know where they would be on Friday and Saturday nights. I’ve walked to Twilite a couple nights after getting a craving… to no avail.

GREATTRUCK! This place was delicious and packed with flavor! I had the burger with an amazing piece of crispy sheep cheese and a great bean stew with sausage. Don’t expect them to have that next time though, as they are always mixing up the menus. I didn’t try the homemade kimchi, but it sounded and looked great! Prices were average, $ 6 for a burger, $ 6 for a small bowl of stew, $ 2 for a soda. I will be going back for sure!

I love this place! I love the green fries, they are my favorite thing on the menu. The aeoli, and chile oil sauce are the best combination! I look forward to future menu items!

I really wanted to try this place, falafels and bahn mi sandwiches are two of my favorite things. The fries were terrific, a mix of standard and sweet potato. The falafel was pretty mediocre. The falafel balls were a little soggy and the fixins did not compliment the sandwich the way they are supposed to, i.e. no cucumber. I don’t know if I’ll be back, I’ve been pretty disappointed in the new food trucks I’ve tried lately.

Flavor, flavor, flavor. That’s the takeaway here, folks. Lewis Bros is all about the flavor and they have got it in spades. The brothers are bringing it one menu item at a time. So let’s talk about the menu. Just try to classify it. I dare you. Falafel. Burgers. Banh mi. All meals that are served out of their mobile kitchen. It’s not dedicated to any one kind of cuisine or ethnicity. In fact, since launching they’ve cycled through several menu items and it looks like they will continue to keep things fresh. Charlie and Oliver both come up with new additions and new menu items, though some may stick around. Today I tried the prosciutto burger. That bad boy was one of the tastiest burgers I’ve had in a long time. Covered with prosciutto, onions, and served between a bun on a be of delicate greens, this thing was exploding with salty goodness. There was a little something in there that give it a burst of fresh, light flavor as well. If you’re looking for«cheap street eats» you’d probably better stick to the taco carts. The burger wasn’t tiny, but for $ 7 you can eat yourself into a food coma with street burritos. No, you need to adjust your mindset and realize that these guys are doing creative dishes that challenge, delight, and tease your taste buds. It’s worth it. Right now they’re mostly doing the late night shifts around town outside of bars. That makes a perfect complement to your soused adventures, but they can also be found occasionally out on the lunch crowd. Tonight they were at Pioneer Park for the Tuesday night Farmers Market. This sort of forward-thinking cuisine(but certainly not too precious) is a welcome addition to the SLC street food scene. As they continue to try new menu items, refine the ones they have, and find a solid rhythm they’re only going to get better and better, too.

I made a quick stop here when I noticed it right by my office. I was the first customer of the day and upon there suggestion ordered the bahn mi. Seems like a simple enough sandwich when you get it. But this little sando packs a whole bunch of flavor. If you want to get really full for cheap? This is not the place for you. The small bahm mi was $ 6 dollars. But if you love a lot of flavor? You will happy with the sandwich. Cart was clean and the guys working it very nice. And they accept credit cards which is nice. I will be back to try the other options on the menu.
