Well, that was fun for a minute… new menu changes have got me feelin’ the pain and I’m probably done with this place. The chili itself definitely has been better in the past. In fact, execution was lacking all around the last couple of times, though service was pretty friendly. Generally, a lot of the side elements of the last review still apply. Hot dogs are still solid and this is still too sloppy to eat for where this place is located. They need to either move over by Spitz and have an actual restaurant or make the food more so that it can be a grab-and-go type place. As to those menu changes… I don’t get it. Adding Italian sausage and Guinness brats? Fine. You’re still mostly talking tubed meat. Banh mi sandiches… a little questionable still, but ok, roll with it. It’s a hot, trendy food item right now. But adding wings? No. What they should be doing is continuing to have different types of hot dogs available. Do something with peanut butter and pickles maybe, whatever, but stick to hot dogs and the choices they have there, make it so they can be eaten in a car while driving or standing on the street and still have a clean shirt afterwards. Unless and until they do this, it’s not worth the fight for parking. I’m out and Imma stay out, troop.

Excellent food, the Coney was off the chart and the crisp fries were the bomb! Love it can’t wait to try the other items on the menu

Not enough room to stay and sit, or even stand for that matter. The floor plan was not well thought out, and there were people just waiting inside for their movie down the way. There are 7 tables total inside. Not happy to have to take out my order and go somewhere else to enjoy it. Which I’m sure takes away from the freshness of the order as well.

I’d never heard of this place but it came highly recommended. We showed up around 2PM on a Friday afternoon and I was surprised by how many people were either in line or sitting down. The menu is laid out quite simply and the food is made right behind the cashier. I ordered the KC Hot dog, the mango lemonade, and the poutine. The dog was pretty tasty with lots of flavor. The meat was more hearty than I am used to getting in a hot dog. This likely speaks to the quality of the meats they use. The mango lemonade was amazing, as was the poutine. If you eat the poutine while it is still hot the cheese melts right into the gravy. One of my friends ordered a banh mi sandwich and it’s probably one of the best I’ve had. The wait time for our food was slightly longer than expected but there was only one cook working the grill. The prices were reasonable and the music playing in the background was great. I would certainly come here again.

We stopped in for a quick bite. I ordered the bbq pork bahn mi and really liked it. I’d definitely get it again. My husband ordered the Reservoir dog and thought it was just okay. FYI it comes in a tortilla not a bun. The service was quick and everyone was really nice. I think I’d stop in there to eat whenever I happen to be going to the movies.

I am so glad a second location opened with extended hours. I got a banh mi hot dog because I couldn’t help myself, anything banh mi I HAVE to try. Although, I did not try the banh mi french fries(so I’ll be back).

This place isn’t bad. Came for lunch and service was friendly and fast. I ordered the Tokyo Dog. I liked the combination of teriyaki sauce, wasabi mayo, and nori — but the foundation of the dog, the actual hot dog and bun were just ok. Nothing bad, but I would expect more from a place that seemed from appearance to be gourmet. I also ordered the«frites» — which were just standard crisp frozen crunch coated fries. Again, were they bad? No, but as far as junk food fries go they weren’t the best either. And FRITES, they were not. I realize that frites is just a fancy word for fries, but I feel when you call a fry a frite — there is an expectation of a little more. At least made from a fresh potato. Will I be back, sure. If I am shopping in this center and in the mood. But I wouldn’t hop in my car to seek it out.

First time there today. Likely will not go back. Fancy names for average food. The Coney Dog was over priced, and the sauce was nothing like real coney sauce. Basically it was a $ 5.75 chili dog and the chili was nothing special. Their $ 3.50 «Frites» are not the fresh cut fries served at top restaurants. They are spray coated frozen fries(makes them crispy), where the coating overpowers the potato. Yes, I know some people like those. Doesn’t work for me though.

The flavor of these dogs is on par with what you would get from a grocery store if you microwaved them. The bread was spongy, and the bread to meat ratio was not right. The country fries were definitely tasty. They claimed this is a kobe beef hot dog which in america means nothing except you can sell for more $$$ to people that don’t know better. Genuine certified Kobe beef comes from the Tajima breed of cattle raised in a prescribed way in the Japanese prefecture of Hyogo. Wagyu is the american equivalent to Kobe. These dogs are not real Kobe or wagyu. Also they are not very good.

I think this location will do better than the one downtown on Main St. The late hours on the weekend next to a movie theater should help. The dogs are seriously meaty kobe beef dogs on homemade buns. They may look a bit on the toasty side but I like the crunch. Dogs aren’t the only thing on the menu. Check out their other bun based offerings. They also have poutine! The gravy is pretty legit. Don’t be afraid to try the non traditional poutine called the country. Also get a side of the beer chili and throw it on the fries, thank me later. Get place before or after a movie. A bit of quick gourmet in the sugar-hood.
