I love this place so much! I come 3 – 4 times a week, but I only gave 4 stars because they really need punch cards! But overall. Great coffee. Amazing crepes and awesome staff!

I love love love this place! They’re literally almost open all the time. If it’s the right person making it, they have the best coffee and crepes! I love the bob Marley drink(although I add an extra shot), the veggie crêpe, the BBQ(even if the chicken is reheated), and the Nutella crêpe. Their crêpe batter is amazing. Hip hippie place. Beautifully decorated too. Love the art.

Had a kind of mediocre experience here the other day. We decided to order one savory crêpe and one sweet, and then share both. I ordered the savory, the Thai chicken, and it was pretty good. Not too over powering on the spices, so a good balance for most customers I suppose. Before ordering her sweet crêpe my wife asked what the special of the day was and was told it was fresh blueberries. She ordered it. When our order came to the table, we received two Thai chicken crepes. My wife took hers back to the counter and was told they were out of blueberries(if your out, why tell customers its the special of the day?), so instead of asking if she wanted something else, they decided to make two Thai crepes. They took it back and offered to make something else, so she ordered a strawberry crêpe. This was made with frozen strawberries. Hey, its June and strawberries are fresh right now… all you have to do is slice some fresh berries into the crêpe. Too bad, its kind of a cute hang out kind of place, but the food is not good enough to come back to.

Love the coffee here! Love the atmosphere! Dislike the crepes though. There wasn’t much flavor and it seemed old. I couldn’t finish mine.

This place is perfect for when you are out late at night and want to avoid greasy spoon joints. I mainly go for the crepes, which are consistently delicious and filling. The patio is the best attraction, especially since the inside can get pretty cramped.

Veggie Crepes filled me up and made my palettes dance. +house coffee the best in a while. I’ll be back.

The crepes are good and the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately on multiple occasions some of the people who go there often think they own the place and it is uncomfortable to be in that atmosphere. If you go be prepared that sometimes the patrons may be rude.

A decade ago, this place was MY place. I came every Sunday for the poetry readings and the Nutella crepes. Then life happened, and I didn’t come here for years. When I came back, the crepes were still just as delicious, and they upgraded their patio. I was hoping to get back to MY coffee shop. Sadly, the new clientele is just so, so judgy. It felt like I was ‘too old’ to be there, and all eyes were on me in that ‘you’re not a regular…’ type way. Also, the new patio leads to youngins chain smoking right by the door, so if you sit inside you are constantly bombarded with cigarette and vape smoke. Something is up with the temperature inside as well, during the summer it’s like a hot day in Hell, and in winter you better bring your parka. The crepes are worth coming back for, but next time I’m ordering to go. I personally wanted to come chill again, but the atmosphere is no longer welcoming like it used to be. On a positive note, if you’re a hot young hipster child that loves to talk about vaping, you’d have fun. I guess I’m just an old, almost 30 year old stick in the mud now.

Came here with a few friends to study. Completely agree with previous posts about the good staff and fun atmosphere of the building. The surrounding persona and different associations with the actual place is what has turned me away. It was very difficult to study with many distractions and ample amounts of guests on an open mike night. I appreciated the drink I was served as well as the service, but I did not appreciate the attitudes and behavior of others visiting the shop.

absolutely terrible service. the man with the glasses and bun blatantly serves the people he wants to and ignores customers as he pleases. he’s incredibly rude and disrespectful, and management should get rid of him immediately. the service industry is about creating an experience that makes people want to come back. no paying customer should ever be treated with such disrespect. will not be going back there.

Ordered a nutella crêpe, waited forty minutes went and Asked about my crêpe and the man with glasses nd a little bun was rude like said, «we re really busy» as i watched him serve five or customers that ordered after me. Then I went up to the front to ask for my money back he looks at me, smirks, ignores me and walks away to serve other customers. Never been treated so poorly and it’s unfortunate because I bet they have great crepes but I will never go again or recommend to my friends.

Came back here with friends and the experience was wonderful. The staff here is super friend and the people here are also very friendly. I recently found out that the painting hung up was done by one of the baristas boyfriend. They have amazing sent hung up all the time. The coffee here is wonderful!!! Especially their special three that they have up on the side. I tried the Bob Marley and it was super delicious. My friend tried their European style hot chocolate and it is super rich and delicious. I do wish it came in a bigger cup though. It came in a tiny tiny tea cup. I do totally recommend trying their crepes because I think it is really good. Great place to chill and they don’t close until 2 am during the weekends.

To be honest, I was very disappointed. One would think that if crepes are the only food on your menu, they would be a perfect t homage to their origins. This couldn’t be farther from the truth here. Of the five orders of crepes ordered on a Wednesday afternoon(three savory and two sweet) all were raw on the inside leaving the unpleasant taste of raw flour in your mouth. The steak in my crepes were cut so small that there it wasn’t a surprise that they were over cooked. I was further saddened by the fact the strawberries were preserved, rather than fresh. Lastly, my double cappuccino was more reminiscent of a weak latte. The Greenhouse Effect left me with an overall feeling of disappointment, and wishing we had chosen some where else for lunch. In short, I would not recommend the Greenhouse Effect unless they made some drastic changes.

A fun little place somewhat ruined to outsiders by the culture that surrounds it. The coffee is alright, and the crepes are good, and the overall atmosphere is really good. That being said, I think the local clientele prevents Greenhouse from being anything better than what it is. Too many sketchy vibes if you’re not part of the local clique. Which is sad, because the people working there and running it seem to be doing a great job. I can probably name three other places with better crepes and coffee. But that’s not why most people love the coffee shop they love — it’s because it has an atmosphere that keeps them coming back. And Greenhouse has an atmosphere that is definitely not for me. You’ll love it or hate it.

half hipsta, half gangsta. The comcast wifi clocks in at a solid 5.5 mbps. That’s probably faster than your grandma.

Just okay. They have good service but normal foods. There is nothing special in their menu.

My favorite location in town. Usually come here with couple of other friends. They have great quality coffee and good snacks. Reasonable price.

Greenhouse isn’t awful, but it’s not good either. It’s pretty mediocre coffee at best, that takes a long time to make. I understand that local shops usually take longer by default, but some of the wait times I’ve experienced here are bordering on inexcusably long. Parking is also nightmarish. I’d advise parking on the street and walking, because trying to get out of that lot is similar to a game of Tetris. I really do not like the clientele here either. Attracts lots of sketchy people. Makes sense, seeing as the place is somewhat tucked away on a dark side of the street. The vibe itself is somewhat creepy.(And normally, I’m a fan of such looks) but the regulars here actually take it to an uncomfortable level. Crepes are good though, I will give credit where credit is due.

I have loved this place and will continue to love this place. I used to go here 2 to 3 times a week when I used to live in Murray. I would go with friends and we would sit on their couches that they have and read some of the books that they keep on their bookshelf. Sometimes we would play the board games that they have or just sit around and drink tea and coffee. They have the most amazing crepes and the vegetable crêpe is my favorite. I would order that and choose any tea at random because I trusted them and it always worked out. they sometimes have events in their back parking lot which were always fun. I really miss going to the greenhouse effect and I miss the crepes. I will be sure to come back anytime I am in Salt Lake City.

Great little café with a bunch of ass hole regulars! Went there on a Friday night with a party of seven, the place was super chill and we all got drinks and a bunch of crepes to split. The crepes were super tastey. There was a dog that was just roaming around which was cute until our food came out and it started to beg and get in the way. The atmosphere was chill and had a lot of people that seemed to be there a lot. We were easily the biggest table and ordered the most food spending almost a hundred dollars, and I left the guy at the counter a pretty good tip cause he was really nice to us. When we got up to go, we thought about clearing our table, but there were no garbage cans or plate return areas in sight, and we thought that since they brought it out to us, they would also bus the table. Turns out we were wrong, and before we even got to the parking lot there was a big commotion, some one yelled«Slobs» and another yelled«What do you think this is, a hotel?» so I hurried back to the table to apologize and start helping, but some regulars that seemed to be friends with the waitress wouldn’t let me, instead just kept cussing at me. I tried to explain that it was my first time there and I wasn’t sure if I had to bus my own table or not so I left a nice tip thinking they would take care of it, but they wouldn’t listen and kept saying rude things after I walked away again. I could not believe how big of a deal they all made!

I came for the crepes and saw they had coffee. The coffee, I ordered a nonfat latte, was pretty decent. The environment was very comfortable and quiet. The crepes were a huge disappointment. I ordered a strawberry crêpe. It came out cold. I’ve ordered many crepes from many cities across the nation. They come out fresh and warm… Not here. It was cold… Like refrigerator cold. I got the feeling the crêpe was pre made and in the fridge… Then when I ordered they added the right ingredients. The strawberry was horrible. Not fresh, but more like frozen strawberries added to glaze. Finally, the filling had something white in it… Could have been yogurt? Some sort of dairy? it was lumpy! Like… If it’s dairy… Lumps are bad! I couldn’t finish eating it. Cause it was all wrong. Yuk. Check out the pic of before and then the big lumps… Ewe. Okay for a cup of coffee and the ambiance. Stay away from the food.

As I sit here and sip my perfectly hot americano there is a gentleman near me tuning his guitar, a russian family chattering in the front corner of the shop, and behind me there are two cute girls chatting away. Outside there are plenty of chairs and tables for sunny days. The walls are covered in local eclectic artwork, a «leave a book share a book» bookshelf, comfy chairs and a guitar for guest use. I give this cute shop a 4 star for its originality, yet classic coffee shop vibe, could be a 5 if the actual coffee quality improved.

So I finally decided to stop by and try this place after months of passing by lol. I liked everything about the place except all the smoking outside on their patio… I personally hate smokers… so it was disappointing to have to walk through all the smoke w my coffee. and food .I did to go since i was on break but the type of crowd is more of a hippie laid back youngsters. Everyone was very nice so no complaints. THey have a lot more drinks and crepes on their menu than the online ones… so go in and try it out. I will definitely come back to try out their Frigid Bitch lol a frozen drink on the wall with a drawing on it.

This dark and gloomy café attracts an interesting clientele. People were riding skateboards behind a truck in the car park when I was there. The service was slow but polite and the food looked unappetizing. I won’t be back.

Both times I’ve been here, the staff have had a group of friends in & payed more attention to their friends than the customers. I realize it’s a coffee shop but it’s a business too! My order was slightly faster the 2nd time but my crêpe was horrible. The cheese tasted old & the crêpe was overcooked. The décor is cute & the tea flavors are great but the place is full of annoying flies… yuck! I think this will my last visit.

Funky place with tables, chairs and couches. They provide games(chess/scrabble/etc.), books, magazines and puzzles. No free wifi unless they give you a password. Now for the food. Crepes! Dessert or breakfast options. They also have muffins, sweet bread, biscotti, and fruit. Good hot chocolate. Very relaxing space, but too many flies!
