Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Typical rental car joint at the airport. This one is actually nice because its actually connected to the airport. I dont have to grab a shuttle to get to the rental car counter. But that’s the airport’s thing, not enterprise.
Anyways, usually when a flight arrives. It arrives with all other flights as well. So a line is to be expected, which I don’t really mind. I’ve arrived early and I’m not really in a rush to be somewhere. My air bnb check in isn’t until 3pm and it’s only 1030am.
After a bit of a wait which was cured by a few rounds of color switch. I finally get to the counter. They pulled up my name, asked me if I needed anything extra like GPS or car chargers and such. We’ve got that covered so we declined. They told me to go to the parking structure which is in the same building and a nice girl gave us our keys. We bought extra insurance and we’re ready to go. Except for one thing. Our Keys were present and we couldn’t find our car.
Anyways, they sorted everything out right away. We even got an upgrade to a much bigger car. From a Tahoe to and Expedition, which is way too much car. Not that I’m complaining, but I just thought it was a bit excessive. Anyways, thankful for the rental car, now we can explore SLC and take ourselves to Park City for some gnarl! Weeeee!!!

I had a great experience– customer service and the vehicle they provided was exactly what I needed. Kudos to management who created the slc enterprise team. i look forward to utilizing this location’s car rental in the near future.

Here’s a warning to those renting at the SLC Airport Enterprise location!
I travel to SLC on business at least once a month using Enterprise as my rental company. On one visit, they upgraded me to a SUV which was fine with me. However, on returning the car, I found out that it had been in an accident before I rented it. Someone had hit a deer and damaged the front headlights and bumper. The SUV was taped with a red X where the damage had occurred, but because I’ve never had a problem w/​Enterprise, I didn’t check the vehicle before I left the airport.
Problem with Enterprise is — At the airport, their check in/​out area is poorly lit. The only way I would have been able to discover this damage would have been if I used a flashlight and walked around the car. The person checking me in only discovered it when he noticed the headlight didn’t work. Enterprise wanted to charge me over $ 2700 for the repairs. Thank g@d I used my AmEx business card as American Express dismissed the claim because Enterprise had already checked me out and released me before discovering the damage themselves.
Enterprise won’t rent to me again, but that’s OK because I believe someone working there botched the return and tried to pass it off on another customer. Could I be lying and really hit the deer? Only if deers run rampant on the freeways during the day!

Awful experience, didn’t have car I reserved so they gave me a van i didn’t want. It wasn’t what they described, so I had to wait 15 – 20 min to finally get a car. Overall disgusted. They did give a discount but would rather have had a car instead of a van. May need to try another one.

Worst rental car ever… I travel for a living and every Monday I pickup a rental car at a different airport. Four days rental every time. This «full-​size» car smelt like an old astray and was filthy inside. It made my decision easy to change rewards programs to their competition. When I told the attendant, he said he would give me a discount on my «next» rental. I have found from experience that when one location gives you the managers «discount card»… They ONLY work at that airport!!! They try and make you feel all warm and cozy, but it’s a total scam. Crappy cars at higher prices. What a joke Enterprise. Since I fly ALL the time, I have nothing on a flight to do but share this awful experience with others…

I am very happy with my recent experience with Enterprise. My friends and I came on skiing trip and needed to rent a car for the week. We needed something to fit 6 people and something that had the ability to carry skis.
Before making the reservation, I called to the salt lake city airport rental location directly. Chad was able to answer all of my questions directly and well. And assured me they could provide a minivan that could seat 7 people.
When we arrived, I was in a bit of a rush to make it to Enterprise before they closed (our flight landed 11:35 and they close at midnight). There really was no need… since I prepared most of my information online beforehand, and the rentals are directly across from baggage claim, I was set up keys in hand with the minivan I wanted, with the ski rack I needed, and all of the insurance options I wanted by 11:45.
The car itself was in beautiful condition, a brand new minivan with every single optional extra on it. DVD players, reverse cameras, leather seats. the works. The car barely had any miles on it (we may have lucked out here). The car was very clean — inside and out. They even provided a window scraper and brush which I made use of nearly every day.
Overall, I had a great, hassle free car rental, and would recommend enterprise. Due to my great experience, the family has already reserved the next rental car through enterprise on an upcoming Florida trip.

I liked enterprise before but now I love them! When I made the reservation over the phone (had questions with me being a young driver and all) anyways he was super helpful. wish I had got his name. I was able to rent an SUV which at the other places I was not able to because of my age. The young renters fee wasn’t even bad either! And to top it off when I got there they gave me a free upgrade with a super nice car! The whole experience from beginning to end was superb! Anytime I need a rental car I will definitely be using enterprise! Great customer service!

We arrived at SLC Airport to pick up a reserved rental car from Enterprise that we had reserved 10 months in advance of our trip. What we were offered was a free upgrade from a midsize to a brand new Chev. Traverse and we were told that because of a price change our cost for two weeks of rental was $ 93 less!!!
I have always found Enterprise to be the best price in car rentals.

Update ¹⁰⁄₀₁ :
After the update from Enterprise Social Media team, we contacted the Enterprise location again. Our email was answered by the Salt Lake area manager for Enterprise. It turns out that they WERE in fact able to locate our camera. It was very nice of them to offer to ship our camera at their expense. We received our camera yesterday and all the pictures were intact. We want to thank Enterprise Social Media monitoring team and Enterprise Salt lake team for their help in locating our camera.

I booked an Intermediate SUV via Costco Travel and got a great deal. Got a new Buick Enclave. Friendly stuff at the counter and no pushy attitude with regards to upselling or insurance.
Line at the airport was very long and the two self check-​in kiosks were out of order. Bummer :(
I was tempted to give 3 stars but the great deal and car (no problems at all on the road) deserves 4 stars

Let me just begin by saying the staff at Enterprise was very helpful, personable, and accommodating. I give them great marks for going above and beyond to resolve our situation.
The experience started at the Enterprise kiosk. There was a long line leading up to the counter and both automated check systems were either not reading cards or in use. There were only 2 staff members assisting Express members and regularly check ins. Our total wait time was around 30 minutes and the second line for the actual walk through for the car was around 20. We were given a Toyota Camry and was advised it was quite new. We went through the legalities, insurance waivers, etc. We loaded our luggage and hopped into the car only to find out the maintenance light and the low tire pressure was on. I immediately asked for assistance from an attendant and was directed back to the Enterprise booth for another replacement. The staff member was apologetic and immediately reassigned us to a Chevy Impala. We loaded our luggage and proceeded to depart the parking lot. The total time to secure a vehicle and leave the airport parking was a little over an hour from when we first checked in with an existing reservation. Driving down the road I noticed a panel started to flap and separate exposing the side curtain airbag mechanism. At this point we do not have enough time to go back to Enterprise for another exchange. I will make sure to advise the attendant of the defect when we return the vehicle.

Poor customer service. They ran out of cars and the line to help customers is 50 people deep. Only 2 people helping customers. A third Enterprise employee just hanging around not doing anything. I’ll never rent from Enterprise again. How could they run out of cars when people reserve cars in the first place. Go to Hertz or Avis, better service.

This review is about administrative side of enterprise. I had booked a car for 7 days Utah trip in May. Everything went smoothly from renting to returning the car. I had booked for Full size car and due to non-​availability on pickup date — they offered free upgrade to SUV, Thanks for that. I used that Jeep patriot for next 7 days in Utah.
Now I am getting emails from some Express lane toll collection in California, saying some Ford Sedan drove thru SR91 and didn’t pay toll. Enterprise reported that car to be rented to me. How crazy it can be.

The quick version: some frustration at the counter that was quickly sorted, the car was very new and very clean, but one tire had a slow leak.
Starting with the bad: the guy at the counter in the terminal informed us that we could get 1 additional drive at no charge, and 1 for $ 10. When we went out to pick up the car, we were told this was not possible and it had always been $ 12 per additional driver with no free additional drivers. Alec was a huge help though, taking the time to set up a new reservation for us, and saving us a ton of money in the process.
Second, we had a slow-​leaking tire, and the customer service on the phone said to go to «any Enterprise location». We ended up at a small parking lot with a single car wash bay, and had to turn around and head back to where we started, which is where the tire shop was! Dealing with the shop was pretty hassle free, but we were left stranded for over 2 hours while they repaired the tire — which didn’t end up getting repaired properly. I had to top up the tire with air twice more before the end of my rental. Luckily we were spending a few days in town, and I was keeping an eye on the tire pressures, or we’d have been a couple hours out of town before we discovered the leak. Last thing I want to be doing on a holiday is getting stranded on a desolate stretch of the I-​80 or a 96-​mile stretch of highway in Idaho where we encountered only one car going the other way!
The good: Enterprise was the only counter with a queue, but the wait wasn’t that long. Also Alec was super helpful in getting our reservation sorted out. The car was great. We were initially offered an Expedition but we asked if any GM cars were available. Alec got us a pristine early 2015 Suburban LT with 17 000 seemingly-​gentle miles. The car was completely damage-​free, and arrived pretty clean inside and out, and apart from the leaky tire it was otherwise perfect for our long road trip. It was quiet and comfortable on the highway, more agile than it looks in the city, and came with a handy lane departure warning, GPS, and enough USB ports/​power outlets for everyone.
(Our relatives got an even more fully-​loaded GMC Yukon XL SLT, from the same Enterprise, but that car had Colorado plates was showing some wear, and there was mud absolutely everywhere. Came with blind spot detection and the handy electric folding seats but for some reason the GPS was really slow compared to the Suburban.)

The staff is always really nice. They got me my car quickly. Returning is really easy and quick as well. Rental car return signs are easy to see.

An average rental car company. Nothing super great or too bad about them. A couple of issues I encountered on my recent rental from this company.
1. When we got out to the parking area to pickup our vehicle the guy assisting us was very pushy about getting their insurance package. He quoted us an additional $ 90 for only 3 days. After telling him that my private insurance would cover any damage his comment was «are you sure about that.» Ummmmm for that price, yes I’m sure!
2. When we got in the vehicle it was filthy. Chewed up sunflower seeds on the floors, sticky residue on the door and dash, crumbs on both front seats. C’mon people!
3. The car they gave us generally sucked. Come to find out later that it is listed as one of the 10 worst cars to purchase in the country (2015 Dodge Journey).
Overall just not the best experience…

I have been renting cars at this location for the past 7 months and it has been a very pleasant experience overall.
Of course there are busy times but the people from the time you check-​in to getting your vehicle have all been very courteous, also when you return the vehicle.
I am a Costco member so I use Costco travel to reserve my rental car. I always hope that lowest price rental is Enterprise and they are :)

Generally, a very good car rental pick-​up and return. The weather for my 40 mile drive from SLC International to Orem was a nasty combination of driving rain, heavy fog and hail, but surprisingly, their Ford Focus handled the trip well. The vehicle was new, clean and properly maintained.
Service on the pick-​up side drew the only minor criticisms. The rental agent’s tablet unit required that a multi step transaction entry be repeated three times before it finally registered. Perhaps out of his frustration, I wasn’t given the opportunity to inspect the car before being sent on my way. The agent otherwise remained friendly and professional, and the only lasting consequence was 10 minutes of lost time. The vehicle return was smooth and pleasantly uneventful.
There was a long line when I first arrived with my reservation, but an open automated kiosk. I don’t know why so many frustrated customers were loudly complaining about the line when the kiosk had me on my way in under 3 minutes.

I won’t go anywhere else ever again!
After trying to use another rental car company through Expedia due to lower prices, I realized why Enterprise will always be the better choice regardless of price. I took the piece of junk back to the other company and called Enterprise directly, who not only got me into a brand new, NICE car, for almost the same «lower» price, but also helped me promptly so I could get out of town and treated me with respect.
While we were driving back from California, a check engine light came on in our car and Enterprise got us changed in to a different car in Las Vegas with no hassle. Yes, it was out of our way, and we ended up in a smaller car, but we were thankful that they were able to make sure that we felt safe for the rest of our drive home and they made the process as fast as possible. AND, when we got home and explained what happened, they asked what I would feel was fair for the inconvenience. Let’s just say they made it right with absolutely no hassle.
A word of advice if you live in Salt Lake and go to pick up from the airport — go to the rental car return for Enterprise, walk to their check-​in counter inside the airport, and bring someone with you to drop you off and/​or wait because there’s nowhere to park by the rentals.

Once again had great luck with Enterprise after using them last year in Spokane and Vancouver and Honolulu. This time it was a 12 day rental for our trip to Park City. Started at the
travel section, and got a huge and almost new SUV for $ 670 for the two weeks, an excellent deal.
Picking up the car was easy, although they had some computer issues, and Matt was friendly and eager to help me get on my way.
Return was equally easy, and the two gals that checked me in wanted to leave SLC for Hawaii, for some reason I can’t imagine lol… honestly, I don’t know where Enterprise finds all these friendly people to work for them across the western states, but I have never experienced such nice service consistently from a car rental company.
On the other hand, coming home to drive a smaller vehicle was a relief, but I would never have gotten the daughter and her suitcases packed for a trip to the Himalayas into anything smaller.
Keep doing what you are doing Enterprise! Kudos to management for having such great and happy employees, and an excellent product and experience.
