I’m very belated in writing my review as I believe I was here more than a week ago now. This restaurant was a very interesting stop for me so I wanted to get this done. Their décor is well outdated and cluttered, kind of like a hoarders dream where you know you have way too much stuff but you manage to find a place for it all. They could use some focus here. Also I always get concerned when I see so much stuff because there’s no way you could keep the dust off that much stuff. I like to eat in an environment that’s clean. I also have to ask myself that if this is what I can see, I wonder what I can’t see looks like? Scary thought. I love that the food is served«family style» and the prices are fantastic! I very much enjoyed the pasta penne that was served. It definitely has the Italian family feel. We received bread with our meal and some olive oil with a few drops of basalmic vinaigrette. That was okay. Overall it was an average experience but I would come back.

The food was pretty good and service was nice. The dishes were pretty pricey. It’s a good deal if you go with a big group, but not so much for 2 people.

I absolutely love this place, in terms of the atmosphere! It does a great job at recreating the Italian culture and make you feel as if you are in an Italian home. I always go by myself and try to eat it all, never works out!!! The spaghetti is amazing!!! This place is not the best in authentic Italian food but it’s comparable with Olive Garden.

So we love this place — but 2 times now we have received really terrible service. This past weekend we took friends that have never been, and I was so embarrassed for our server. No knowledge of the menu. Long waits for drinks and the check. Food was great, Service was terrible.

I go here for the environment and the fun family dining over the actual food. I don’t like Italian and am usually pulled in by their amazing deals for club members. I’ve received multiple free entrees and desserts. Nothing has ever wowed me. Thought I would love there huge brownie sundae cause how can mounds of whip cream and ice cream not be amazing?! It was alright, brownies were hard. I do love their complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Address on google search is wrong! Unilocal address is correct! I mentioned it to the manager and he said he has been informed multiple times.

First time ever in this place. And it was awesome! I absolutely love Italian food. We have ravioli with Alfredo and of course spaghetti with meatballs. I couldn’t even move because I didn’t want to waste the food. At the front they were very welcoming and social. We sat upstairs, he let us choose where we wanted because I wanted the cool circle booth. Robert was our server, very friendly and carries himself very well! Oh and took the dessert to go. The lemon cake… it lasted about 3 minutes. I will be returning our next visit from Montana. And people it’s Italian stop trying to rush, service was probably great you were just in a hurry.(;

The food was good BUT I had come with a group from work on a weekday for lunch and we were there for a solid 2 ½ hours because service was so incredibly slow. And the waiter mixed up two orders but only paid attention to fixing one person’s order. I had to ask to have the other dissatisfied person’s order fixed as well since they were being ignored. If you want to do lunch in a workday, don’t plan on going here unless you have a flexible employer and time-off saved up.

This was my first time at a Bucca restaurant. I had heard good things from friends, but was sadly disappointed. The food wasn’t great and the service was even worse. I would not recommend this chain to anyone. There is an Olive Garden nearby that I would go to next time.

Very slow service and sub-par food. Came here for dinner and ordered a small order of chicken parm and a small order of spicy chicken rigatoni. First of all, it took our waiter about 10 minutes to even get to our table(the restaurant was empty). After ordering, we were given bread(with no oil or butter) and then the wait was on… almost an hour for our 2 dishes. The chicken parm was pretty bland. Very little sauce, very little cheese, and the breading was soggy. The spicy chicken rigatoni was good. Nothing special, but fine. Really just a weak meal buca…

The atmosphere is always great! The food was delicious. We had Fettuccini Alfredo, sauce was delicious and pasta cooked perfectly. Chicken Saltimbocca was tender and delicious. The mozzarella garlic bread had lots of melt cheese and garlic on crusty bread. The green beans were nice and al dente with a pleasing light sauce. Both tasty. Childs portion of Spaghetti and meat balls came with just one giant meatball but it was nicely seasoned with a pleasing red sauce. The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with our party of seven which included one two year old a child and a teenager. Great moments at a fun restaurant.

The food and serving sizes are great. The environment is fun and there’s so much to look at. When we went, which was a Saturday night, they were slammed so service wasn’t the best. However, our waiter was really nice and accommodating.

My first visit, the baked ziti was delish! I was excited to have it again, and about a year later I did. The second visit(just last month) the baked ziti had no cheese on top of it! What the heck!

Total let-down! Poor service, small portions, high prices. Lunch started with a 10 minute wait at the front host. I asked if it was busy and he said, «we only have two waiters, we usually don’t have many people for lunch.» after 10 minutes we were seated… there was only one other couple! Next we tried the chicken stuffed with pancetta… where is the pancetta? In powder form? I have had Stouffers frozen meals better. The $ 24 chicken plate and $ 6 for 1 soda and 1 glass of tap water was not worth it. Don’t waste your time or money. Completely unsatisfied!

Here’s the thing– the food was actually pretty good and exceeded my expectations. I hadn’t eaten here for a very long time and had very low expectations for the food. However, it was the service and overall experience that was truly mindboggling. We called on Dec. 26th and asked about reservations. It was about 6pm and were told they were not taking any more reservations and if we walked in it would be a 2 hour wait. So we tried a few more places. After walking into Red Rock Brewery right down the street and putting our name in for an hour wait, we decided to walk to Buca«just to check» and see. I thought it was odd that several tables visible from the street as we walked by were empty. We went in and said we wanted a table for 7 and the three guys at the front talked for about 10 seconds then said«sure, right this way», which again, I thought«what is going on??». As we were being seated we walked by table, after table, after table that were empty. The rest of the story is that while our server was very nice, tried hard, it was an epic fail. No Merlot, no Cabernet, out of almost every beer we inquired about. Did not bring bread until we asked well into our meal. Did not refill our water. Did not bring us serving utinsels until asked. I’m not sure how a restaurant is supposed to make money when they 1) discourage people from coming in, 2) are out of the most profitable beverages and 3) half the place is empty, yet the service is still really bad. I hope they get running their restaurant figured out at some point.

We came into the restaurant and were seated at approximately 5:20, we received drinks, and placed our order, we did not receive the calamari appetizer until nearly 5:50, and then shortly after the calamari arrived, the pasta and Eggplant Parmesan came less than 5 minutes later – not much time between the appetizer and entrees. We also did not receive bread at all until the appetizers arrived. The meatballs that came with the spaghetti literally tasted like an ashtray: you took a bite into the meatball and the flavor of what tasted like cigarette butts was the flavor that was the most pronounced. This just wasn’t in a single bite, but every bite of the meatball. We expressed our concerns to the server, whom also happened to be the manager, and he comp’d our meal. He was very apologetic about our experience and stated that he was understaffed for the evening. While this does speak to why there were lapses in the service, the quality of the food that we were served was severely lacking. More communication upfront that the restaurant was understaffed would have let us set-up expectations at our table, however, we were left with little to no contact from our server until nearly 30 minutes after being served beverages left us with a bad taste, both figuratively and literally, in our mouths.

Your Chicken Saltimbocca was NOTGLUTEN-FREE. That ish funked me up within 30 minutes and made me puke an hour or so later. It did however tatse wonderful and the server was great, especially for being as busy as he was!

Fat naked people on the walls… this place screams Napoli! You walk throughout the restaurant, and it’s as if you’re in Naples… in nonna’s home full of hoarded items. The walls are decked out with all sorts of things you’d expect to be collected by your grandmother, and it certainly adds to the family style dining feel. It may not sound classy, and it certainly isn’t, but Buca di Beppo is known for its familial atmosphere and classic italian food. The food I’ve had here has been incredible, and definitely surpasses my expectations. Flavors are impressive, and portion sizes are heafty. Definitely a place worth trying out soon!

Great place for family dining. Delicious food. Amazing desert. Very kid friendly. Sharable dishes for serving, just like home.

It was a complete mess when I dined here last night. HORRIBLE! Midvale location is so much better. This establishment gives you that family feel to it when eating which is nice. Everything is family style. A «small» dish has 3 cuts of meat(for example the chicken Marsala I ordered had three breasts) while a large comes with 5. Everything is shareable which is nice but the service lacked so much. Arrival– no one was working the front desk so we had to walk around until someone noticed us. The lady was on her cell phone texting and didn’t realize we walked in. Appetizers– we ordered the calamari and drinks and the calamari came wayyyy before our drinks. By the time the drinks came the calamari had been finished. We were really wanting our drinks with our appetizer. Main dish– the server seemed rushed and I understand he had other tables but to rudely ask«are you ready yet?» Over and over again when we had questions about the menu and STILL had not gotten our drinks, I thought was pretty rude. We order the chicken Marsala with a side of noodles(8.99) and he puts in our order and dashes off. Not only 2 minutes in my table decides they didn’t want the noodles and yes that’s indecisive on OUR part and I take responsibility but I figured if I flag down the waiter we can ask to not put that order in. We flag him down and ask him to remove the noodles and he rolls his eyes and says«well I already put in the order so that’s not possible» WOW. It hasn’t even been 2 minutes and even if you did put in the order you could’ve been nice about it. Our waiter never checked on us, refilled bread baskets or waters. NOWTHISISWHATMAKESMELAUGH– I come back from the bathroom and I see the waiter at our table gathering the checks and i ask everyone if they wanted dessert and my waiter says-” you guys just paid though.” Excuse me? Who the HELL do you think you are??? You have the checks in your hand and it won’t take you forever to add a dessert plus buddy you do the math– the higher the bill, the higher the tip. Don’t you want more of our money? I was so angry but being in public you need to keep your civility and class so I didn’t say anything. Will I be back to this location? Never. Should the manager train the staff on friendliness and respect for their customers? Yes. Or just fire the crap waiters.

I like how they decorate in here, but the food is just mediocre. They use cheap ingredients, and it’s obvious. I hate spending money on Italian because my family is Italian and we all cook it well, and I’m just glad my CEO bought my meal here both times. First time I got an alfredo dish, and I remember the alfredo being very oily. When I took it home and reheated it, the cheese curds separated from the oil and I decided it wasn’t worth eating it. The second time he came in town and took us, I had the seafood pasta or «Linguine Frutti di Mare». It was better, and had a good mix of shrimp, clams, mussels and calamari in a spicy red clam sauce. That being said, I’d suggest not getting an alfredo dish here, and sticking with a red sauce dish.
