First the pros: friendly staff, dog friendly(no fee), decent breakfast, clean rooms, comfy enough bed, although the comforter was a light-weight polyester that slips and slides around a lot. My only con is admittedly a pet peeve: complimentary internet access was 1.5Mbs. I guess I could have paid $ 5 for«premium», but there’s no guarantee that’s any faster. The internet is not a novelty, it is a utility like electricity and hot water. They don’t charge extra for those, why nickle-and-dime me for faster internet access? For $ 100 a night, it’s expected to be included.

I found this to be a very nice hotel. We were greeted with a smile, and the lady who helped us as well as the GM were super friendly. This hotel has a pool, hot tub, pool tables, gym(nicest one I’ve seen), small game area, breakfast bar, small«store» that has snacks, toiletries, etc… And, ITISPETFRIENDLY at NOEXTRACHARGE! Hotel was clean and we experienced no issues. I give 4 stars because I didn’t get to experience it all. We checked in at 4pm and left by 7am. We will definitely stay again on our way to the Outer Banks.

This is a pretty good hotel, the beds aren’t amazing but definitely better than lots of hotels we have stayed at. The housekeepers are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was decent, better than a continental breakfast. Julia at the front desk is wonderful! She made me take the star level from a 3 to a 4.

I went for business reasons for only one night. I checked in late and out early. Pros: — The breakfast had fresh fruit, canned fruit, waffles, eggs, bacon, etc. as well as the basic juice and cereal. It was a nice spread of options. — Continuous coffee and tea service next to the front desk — Great shower head! — Neutrogena shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, bath cap, and lotion — The night manager, Ashley, was kind and professional during both the check-in and check-out process. She also gave great advice about dinner options. Complaints: — No light blocking curtain option. I woke up multiple times during the night due to the bright lights outside. — Easy to find and nice location near lots of food options — Shower curtain, no liner was clearly not being washed between stays and didn’t hold water in the shower. — The morning cleaning and dining staff were quite chatty with each other and ignored me, not the best of feelings there.

Bed was a lumpy board, so hard! Upon walking into the room, immediatley you see a super lumpy bedspread(looked like a prairie dog community lived in it). I wish if taken a picture. The sheets had a bad smell. Needless to say, we had a poor nights sleep. But worst of all! Sunday morning, my husband & I are sound alseep @9:20 am and the housekeeping comes knocking on our door! We ignored the first knock(that woke us up… Checkout isn’t til 11) Then they knocked again! My husband has to goto the door and tell them we aren’t leaving yet! We will never come to this Hampton again. Also, I am so over cloth shower curtains… gross and unsanitary! They certainly are not changing them with each customer. That’s as disgusting as unchanged bedding. Updating to glass is needed. The Sunday morning front desk employees never acknowledge us as we left(luggage in tow, so it was obvious we were leaving). This is the first hilton family hotel we have stayed at that we were completely disappointed.

I’ve stayed in Hampton Inn’s before and this one is exactly what I expected. Which means that they were successful with their branding because that’s what the company looks for. They made some additions to the breakfast area since I last stayed at a Hampton to include a waffle maker which was nice. They used to sometimes have frozen waffles that they baked, but this one came from fresh batter so it was fluffier and less dense. It was good, and of course I didn’t have to pay for it, which was nice too. I took a banana for my 3 hour drive home. I’m pleased to say this location is exactly what the company is looking for in it’s uniformity.

My boyfriend and I stayed here on our way to Assateague last weekend and were quite happy with Hampton Inn. The bed was super comfy. The free breakfast was impressive and there were plenty of options to choose from. The best part was that we could bring our dog. One star off because the air conditioner didn’t work, but since it was late and not too hot we made do. We will be returning again this summer.
