Bed bugs, yep bed bugs. This place is gross. Zero stars should be given. Found bed bugs. The manager denied everything and said we were liars. We saw a person going in our room the next day and they denied that. The owner was standing there as I talked to the front desk person and said I wasn’t allowed to talk to him. Bizarre experience to say the least. Do not stay here. DONOTSTAYHERE. There are many other, owners, managers and management companies who care and try harder.

Overall, I thought the hotel was a fairly good value, especially when prices had come way down in the off-season. The only thing that seemed lacking in the room was power outlets. There weren’t any by the bedside table; instead, the power outlet was in a rather unreachable spot behind the bed. Breakfast was quite good, except that I would prefer a waffle maker instead of the pancake maker, which didn’t really produce the best pancakes. I didn’t try the pool or the gym but the business center was in working order. What would be inconvenient is the hotel isn’t near any shopping or restaurants. Also, exit from the hotel lot is one way even though you can enter from both directions on the main road.

This is one of the WORSTHOTELS I’ve ever stayed in! For those of you who think about staying at Holiday Inn Express Delmar-Salisbury, RETHINKYOURDECISION… ITSPROBABLYSAFERFORYOUTOSLEEPINYOURCAR!!! Rather Than at this Dump! Back on August 20th we booked this hotel because we wanted to visit Ocean City and stay 20 miles outside of O.C. to get a good hotel at a not-so-expensive price. However, this hotel was the exact opposite of what we were looking for. The check-in ran pretty smoothly but when we walked into our room, we inspected the A/C unit and found a whole bunch of Dust inside that thing.(I’m talking layers of dust on the A/C unit because the hotel staff decided not to inspect/clean it.) After we inspected the air conditioner, we inspected the bed(s). One of the beds seemed to have clean sheets on but the other bed had a whole bunch of stains on it.(Probably because the previous person in this room was having a pleasurable experience…)A minute after we noticed the bed stains, we called for assistance at the front desk and although the person who helped us was very polite and offered us help, she didn’t offer us to switch rooms or anything like that. The next morning, we went down to breakfast,(for those of you not familiar with Holiday Inn Express, each location had a FREE continental breakfast) and that was okay. However, when we got back to the room, I noticed I had been BITTENBY A TICK!!! Because of that, we went down to the front desk to report it to the person on duty but he told us that it was a water beetle that doesn’t bite. I literally HADTOSHOWHIMWHERE I GOTBIT just for him to change his story. Less than 15 minutes later, we checked out of this hotel. Bottom line: Avoid at all costs and NEVERBOOKTHISHOTEL. This hotel ought to be Shut Down!!!

I had recently stayed at the Delmar, MD Holiday Inn Express. I’ve been staying at Holiday Inn Express for years for business trips. However, my stay at Delmar, MD was very UNPLEASANT. One thing that really made me feel unappreciated by the staff was the fact that the employees who was checking me in took his time and chit chatted with other employees while checking us in. An ordinary check would take less than 4 minutes. However, this employee took his time chit chatting with others and took about 20 minutes to check us in. And when I got to my room, I realized he checked us in a handicap room where the bed was almost as small as a twin bed(I requested at least a queen), and the shower head in the bathroom was VERYLOW. It was so low I couldn’t take a shower standing up. I had to literally sit down and take a shower. If I stood up straight, the shower head would come down to my stomach… and I’m only 5’7 by the way. I told the employee and the MANAGER at the hotel about how uncomfortable and small my bed was and how low the shower head was… and they responded that they couldn’t do anything about this matter. I paid nearly $ 170 to stay one night in that room… and I did not get a good nights rest as the bed was WAY too small for my wife and I. Also, I couldn’t even take a refreshing hot shower in the morning because the shower head was so low. I really regret staying in that room and I’m very very UPSET at the hotel employees and their management for refusing to accommodate us for our discomfort… Let me ask anyone this question.“when you’re traveling why do you stay at a hotel rather than your car? You can save hundreds of dollars???” The answer is simple… Many people choose to stay at a hotel room despite the lucrative price for ONE simple FACT… for COMFORT! Unfortunately, I didn’t find that here. I walked out of that hotel with a bad bad sour taste with my mouth. One of the worst employees and management I’ve dealt… I would not recommend a hotel like Holiday Inn Express to anyone…

Had a pretty good stay here recently. Wasn’t here long — just one night. Don’t remember much, but at check-in, if you are a IHG(Priority Club) member, you get to «pick a lollipop». Let me explain. Almost like a carnival game, you pick a flavor of lollipop & there is a color on the bottom of the lollipop stick. That corresponds to an amount of IHG rewards points. They add them to your account pretty quick! I got 250 extra points. Makes checking in a little bit more fun! Oh — nothing really within good walking distance(no sidewalks, just a highway), but plenty of restaurants nearby(mostly fast food), and shopping isn’t far down the road towards Salisbury.
