Our ski club was delayed by snow on our way back from Telluride. We had hoped to arrive by 6PM Sunday night but did not arrive until 9:30. Patrick and the staff waited until we arrived and served 40 of us a great BBQ buffet. Our whole club was very happy with both the meal and service.

Great after a long day of boarding on the slopes! Went last winter and can’t wait to go again tomorrow for dinner! Great friendly employees, and also a great atmosphere inside! Thank you!

We came here for brunch on New Year’s day for some good food before exploring downtown. We were quickly seated at the table despite having a full house. We decided on breakfast burrito with green chili and lobster bisque soup with toast. The breakfast burrito was a very generous portion and the chili had a kick to it! My lobster bisque was very creamy and filling – perfect with the crusty whole wheat toast! They have a full bar serving cocktails and beer. The food here is very reasonably price and good quality… maybe lacking some character. The brunch menu is quite extensive everything from breakfast items to salads and sandwiches. There’s also TVs for watching games. Overall, this is a good place for a satisfying breakfast and brunch!

Not bad food — nothing out of the ordinary, service was okay, but the atmosphere was definitely the best part of it.

Food was good, but we had some of the worst service we have ever encountered. Evidently, our server forgot to put our order in. He also poured ice water on two of us. Finally, another server looked into the delay, and we received our lunch. A total train wreck!

Can’t really review the food because it never came. We ordered in the middle of the afternoon, not a busy time at all. The waiter was quick to take our order, and the atmosphere was wonderful with the open patio next to the river. But an hour later we left hungry as our food never came and we couldn’t find a waiter to ask about the order status! Bummer!

Maybe we were a little too close to the river’s edge, as we must’ve been out of sight from our waiter. He took our drink order quickly, but never came back for our food order. We kept trying to waive at him to no avail. Finally as he dropped off food to the table next to us, that was seated at the same time as us, he stopped by to say our order should be up next. We pointed out that we hadn’t ordered yet… ooops. Great view, decent food, SEVERELY understaffed.

Meh. Food was bland and over priced. Wait staff was rude and spacey. Not anything I’d care to try twice.

Great spot right on the river. The food was very tasty. I would have given the place 5 stars, but our waitress disappeared for about 20 minutes, and the cashews were missing from our Brussel sprouts(the table next to us had plenty in theirs). Also, when given our choice of sides the waitress failed to mentioned truffle fries were am extra $ 4. Not very cool. Regardless, I would highly recommend the Brussels sprouts with our without the cashews.

Exceptional view overlooking the Arkansas river. Fantastic food and service. Would recommend the Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. We also had breakfast here. The breakfast buffet was a great value and not your average buffet. Bacon was cooked perfectly. We also had the eggs Benedict which was awesome. A must try while in Salida!

Great spot. Food marginal. Service terrible. Took 2 hr to get food on a weekend that was not that busy. Confronted manager who was defensive and not that accommodating. There is mush better food and service in this town. Go elsewhere. Cheers! Just not here.

Great place and great service. Don’t know when I’ll be back to Salida again, but if I do, I’ll be sure and come here for a meal. This was the only place in Salida that was able to keep up with the influx in tourists the weekend I was there.

We had breakfast here on the morning we left Salida. We had stopped in the day before looking for lunch but it was not what we had in mind. Especially because we approached from the street side, which was not very inviting, and we did not really look at the patio seating on the river then. It is the preferable place to eat in the summer as the interior was quite stuffy with kitchen smells. Salida has almost no breakfast places, other than the chains out on the highway approach. So we walked here, along the river walk from our downtown hotel early in the morning before heading back out on the road and were probably one of the first customers of the day. We were certainly the only ones on the patio on a crisp morning but it made the experience so much more enjoyable. We had a very friendly wait person and she seemed happy to serve us on the outer edge of the patio though clearly the only other customers were inside. We had rather basic egg based breakfasts that were fresh and tasty though a bit greasier than I prefer. But I know this is a popular style for others.

Everything I have ever had at this place has been amazing! I love the food and being in the heart of the action in Salida. They have tons of beer on tap. Servers and bartenders are great.

@RiversEdgeCO Beautiful spot by the Arkansas River. Out of truffle fries. I was shy of weeping. Colorado beer. Accessible access to the back patio, the spacious venue offered a relaxing atmosphere. The brisket burger was hearty and flavorful. They were out of truffle fries which disappointed immensely because I like my fries and not sweet potato ones. I was doubled up on the BBQ baked beans, which had a delightful zip of spicy goodness. Nitro Milk Stout and iced tea beverage warshed down the meal. The chunky garlic hummus, with large pieces of cucumber, tomatoes, red onions, kalamata olives and feta served with soft pita pieces, was delicious … Delicious for Salida, Colorado locals and visitors perhaps, but far from the goodly quality other hummus’ I have had at middle eastern restaurants. Still good. Just not even the best. It is a great place for food and spirits, along the river, in Salida. I can see this being a top local hang out. I need to try more. I’ll be glad I did.

Waited 15 had no server show. Asked if we had a server went to restroom and came back still had no server. 20 min no service ridicules. So sad for such a cool place.

What a great place! The River, the trees, the view, amazing! The wait staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. I have been coming here for over 10 years, and it never disappoints. The food: Ordered a Bloody Mary to get my Saturday off on the right foot. It was…“below average.” The presentation was spectacular but the Bloody itself just had a weird taste. I passed on the buffet and ordered the Eggs Benedict. I would give Rivers Edge a 4 star based on the the perfect eggs and great hollandaise, but the hash browns were a greasy disappointment. Overall, OK! I will come back.

The carnitas tacos were some of the best street tacos I’ve ever had, and they’re why this place gets 3 stars instead of 2. Truly, they were superb. The location is also lovely. That said, my husband ordered the mac & cheese, and the portion size was an absolute joke. We actually left the restaurant after our meal and wondered where else we could go to eat!(I get that there’s truffle oil, but $ 12 for that portion was laughable.) The chicken nuggets for my kiddo were just the frozen kind, so pretty lackluster, and again, an anemic portion(they only brought four). Still, the server was delightful and those tacos were delish…

Even though not too busy the food and service were excellent. The hummus was so good it even surprised my husband. I had the steak sandwich. It was flavorful and plentiful with meat. My husbands gyro was authentic and yummy. The roasted chicken sandwich my son had was the surprise… even though very messy it was the best of the 3. We would come again and anyone else should too.
