Yup, a nice, simple McDonald’s. Most things taste like they’re made out of people, but that’s simply how McDonald’s is; expect anything more, and you’re the stupid one. Strangely enough, given the quality of this town as a whole, it’s one of the friendlier McDonald’s I’ve ever encountered; service with a smile across the board, exceptional politeness from all employees, even a few people that legitimately seem to be enjoying their job.(Contrast this with the McDonald’s down the road in upper-crust Pennsville, and it’s a true anomaly indeed — their customer service game absolutely stomps PV’s.) Every now and again, your drive-thru order will be wrong, of course — but as Matthew S. put it, don’t be a jerk about it if something isn’t right. I’ve had this experience many a time, and I’ve found the staff more than willing to fix the mistake promptly and without incident. Service isn’t about not making mistakes, but how well you handle them when they happen, and this McD’s has that on lock. A pro tip, though: if ordering anything with caramel in it(say, a caramel iced coffee, which I start many of my mornings with because, hey, I can get an enormous-sized one for a buck), pronounce it «car-mel». I don’t care if it goes against your every linguistic instinct — you must pronounce it «car-mel», because it’s important to speak the native tongue.

Not a bad McDonalds. My food is usually simple and usually never gets messed up. But with all fast food, things are happening fast in the kitchen and things may get confused or forgotten. Check your bag and don’t be a jerk about it if something isn’t right. Enjoy!
