Wonderful choice for a day or two get away. Very nice accommodations. Friendly staff, great food for breakfast as well as for dinner if you’re there on a week-end night.

I agree with all of the other reviews — Most definitely 5 stars! The customer service probably by Jan, Kathy, and Janet was impeccable. After check in they offer tea at 2 p.m. which is offered with a dessert, wine at 5 p.m. with a light snack, and although we didn’t eat dinner here, I can tell you the food smelled amazing. The room was comfortable and was just what we needed for a quiet night get-away. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING! The coffee was fresh, my wife had the French Toast and it was probably the best French Toast I have ever tasted. I had the quiche and it was equally delicious. They serve it with a breakfast coffee cake or other dessert and fruit. If you need to visit a Bed and Breakfast, make this your #1 priority, you will not have a bad experience here!

The Inn holds a very special place in my heart. The service is impeccable. Jon and Kathy are very personable and will go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I’ve been in each of the rooms and they are all immaculate. The attention to detail in each room makes for a luxurious experience! I’ve also loved dinning here. The pork chops are to die for and the crab cakes are another favorite of mine. What makes dinning here so special is the wonderful service along with the gorgeous atmosphere.

Or meals here have always been very nice and the service is great. The meal is not cheap but I have paid a lot more for nowhere the quality of food. The average meal for two people with a bottle of wine and all three courses is $ 65

We love this place! When you think of B & B’s, this is definitely it! This is a must when we go to Ste. Gen! Jan, one of the owners, goes out of his way to make your stay the best. Our first time we visited, 2 years ago, we stayed in Odile’s Room in the Main Inn. Recently redone after a fire a few years back, the whole place feels antique-y, but with modern updates in the bathrooms and such. We last visited in September for our anniversary. We stayed in the Annex across the street(Dr. Hertich’s House) in the Love Notes room. We particularly loved this room! Nice relaxing bath tub and we even had our breakfast delivered to our room! If you stay in the annex you can have your breakfast delivered to your room. However, the dining room is so cute, I rather enjoy eating there! Breakfast has always been DELICIOUS! This place makes you feel at home! There is even a little DVD library where you can borrow one to watch for the evening! I can’t wait to come back to this B & B!

I don’t have a lot of experience with bed and breakfasts, but I’m smart enough to know that this was a five star experience without a doubt. All of downtown Ste. Gen is picturesque like it’s straight out of a storybook and this adorable B&B is no exception. Check in isn’t usually until 2pm but we arrived a few hours early and our room was ready! Jan(pronounced Yan) and Janet were just darling and took us to our room which was actually in the building across the street. The room was very clean and so old lady, which just gave it tons of charm. There was a huge bed, and major score, a fireplace that was easy to operate. The TV was pretty old but we didn’t plan on spending much time in the room anyway so no big deal, and the bathtub had THEBIGGEST bath tub I think I’ve ever seen. This thing should be called a miniature pool. There was a little sitting area too but I’m not sure how often that gets used. Jan was so cute that it was almost disturbing… he said if we needed him, he could probably be found«tending the gardens.» OMG. After he left us in the room we found this hysterical book sitting on the bed table, called«Secrets to Marriage» that contained tons of corny«tips» like«create a secret symbol that lets the other one know you’re in the mood for love.» What the??? We read that thing and laughed for almost an hour, and it’s way funnier after visiting the wineries, in fact, bring it with you. Breakfast the next morning was great(they’ll bring it to you or you can eat in the dining room — we chose dining room for the sake of having the full experience.) The menu isn’t that big, but the offerings are delish. I had the ham and egg crêpe and it was VERY heavy on the ham, but I still enjoyed. The coffee tasted fresh and was a lifesaver after a weekend at the wineries. Check out was simple and we were on our way. Funny/cute things you can enjoy: –The«DVD library» –aka a book shelf that has some DVD’s on it –Tea time(awww) –Afternoon appetizers –Again, Jan tending the gardens GO to Ste. Gen! This place is worth the $ 200 something bucks for a night. It’s such a short drive from STL but feels far away. If I ever go back I’ll be staying here… well, because Jan rules and the rooms are so comfy.
