Sara’s Ice Cream

After the lunch that we had I really did not need ice cream, but seriously if we made decisions based on that no one would ever eat ice cream. This is a small little shop with inside seating and a few benches outside. They have eight different ice cream flavors, plus malts (the thick old fashioned type) and sundaes. I opted for a scoop of almond mocha fudge on a sugar cone, you have to ask for the sugar cone. The people in my party were jealous because they got the regular cone, because behind the counter they assume. We had chocolate, butter pecan, and mint chocolate chip. Nothing like a ice cream outside on a Sunday afternoon.

This is a fun little shop to visit when out and about in Ste. Genevieve. But only if it’s not cold out!
I cannot comprehend why someone would give this place one star. For what it is, a little ice cream shop in town, it’s perfect. I’ll come here every time I get a chance.

Cute? Yes, antiques? No, and most importantly homemade? NEGATIVE! When asked was informed it was Praire Farms… which last time I checked I can get at shop and save…
Even the scoop size was small (which was appeciated by me but others might frown on.). Flavor options were also limited…
Sigh…not sure if better options in Ste G but maybe Seredipidty can open a shop here :)

This little old fashioned ice cream shop is the cutest! I think of it as an antique ice cream shop that is still in function!
It has a ton of old Coca-​Cola memorabilia as their décor and they serve most of their sodas and floats in the old style Coke glasses. They also serve their ice cream in the little old glass ice cream bowls which makes it even better! It’s small with some seating in the front and more in the back.
I have had their cones and a hand dipped shakes and all have been yummy. I am not sure if they rotate their ice cream flavors, but those I have tried have been great.
