Holiday Inn Express & Suites Saint Robert – Leonard Wood

Looks swanky and clean. Price was quite steep though considering minimal amenities available. Had to get special approval for higher rate for per diem because everything else in town was booked and this place was 50% or so above per diem.

I booked a room here using
. Unfortunately it was overbooked at the time of the reservation even though the reservation was approved and guaranteed by
(at least that is what I was told), not sure how that happened
!
When I arrived to check in, I was told they were overbooked and that they had no rooms available. When contacting
for a refund, they called the hotel for verification that there were no rooms available and the hotel told
that I was a no-​show at the hotel and that they were not going to refund the money to me or
. What really frustrated me was that I gave the name and description of the frontdesk agent that I spoke with and another guests last name that resembled my last name that was staying in the hotel that night as the agent asked if I was that guest. And they still called me a No-​Show? How can you?
I know
messed up here but it was Holiday Inn that were the thieves! Stealing money from potential customers! Good business Holiday Inn! Never again!!!

Clean, comfortable beds, cute Halloween decorations. One downside, you can hear people walking upstairs.

The place was clean and on par with most other HIE around the country. I have it 3 stars because the lighting in the room was not even close to sufficient. I could barely see anything in there. The house keeping also didn’t do s good job on two of the days I was there. Besides that, all was well.

This is a great Holiday Inn Express location! It is also a perfect halfway point between Dallas and Chicago to spend the night. While it is more on the spendier side of hotels in the immediate area, it’s less than staying in Springfield and St. Louis.
The staff was very friendly and the amenities were in great shape. The indoor saltwater pool was nice, as was the hot tub.
Complementary breakfast was one of the better setups of all the locations we’ve stayed — clean, fresh, well monitored.
We stayed on the first floor in a double queen executive room which was quiet and clean. Very comfortable beds and pillows. One negative was that a few of the toiletries in the bathroom were halfway used. Since our stay was pretty quick, we did not make use of the wifi.
We will definitely stay here again!

The room was not worth the hundred dollar price at all. The staff was incredibly rude. I will definitely not stay here again.

The hotel itself is the nicest in Saint Robert albeit the most expensive as well. However, it’s clean and the beds are soooo comfortable. The breakfast is just ok, thought it would be better having stayed in many other HI Express’. The TV’s are nice, satelitte is less than adequate and there is NO PPV which stinks because the internet service is HORRENDOUS. It’s slower than dial up and I could not stream netflix instant on my computer. Again, I’m picky, but the subpar food and crappy tv/​internet deduct two stars from this otherwise great hotel.

This is a beautiful hotel… stay here you will not be disappointed.

I traveled thousands of miles to see my BF graduate basic training from Fort Leonard Wood. Exhausted, all I wanted to do was listen to my ipod but in dismay the ipod player was not working. The customer service lady named: BRENDA was so helpful that she brought in 3 additional ipod players until one works. Thanks Brenda for going above and beyond and making my trip away from home that much more memorable!
