Best. Cuban food I’d ever had. Roast pork dinner was outstanding. Unfortunately they closed recently.

Stopped in one night after work, around 5:45 and the place was empty. Ordered the chicken and yellow rice. There were 2 young guys working there… let me rephrase that there were 2 guys standing around looking bored. Poor service and poor food. The chicken looked as though it had been sitting around for days, 2 tiny legs and the yellow rice was dry. Black beans were too salty. WAYOVERPRICED !! .I DON, T KNOWHOWTHISPLACESTAYSINBUSINESS. I will not be back or suggest this place to my friends.

Stopped in today for the first time to get lunch to go. The staff were super nice. The cuban sandwich was very thin about ½”-¾″ thick about 8″ and six bucks just hardly any meat at all. The taste was ok. The prices on the rest of the menu seemed overpriced 10.00 or so for the type of place it is

Cuban sandwich at 7 Eleven is a lot cheaper, bigger and tastes as good. $ 6 for very thin sandwich.

I don’t know what happened on this visit. It seemed like the young men behind the counter had just been drafted to work. I guess I’m used to a certain level of cohesiveness in a smaller family owned business and it threw me off balance or was I just mirroring the energy from the restaurant on this visit. Would I go back? Yes Why? The food was a very high 4 Rice and beans were as I had hoped for, a bonus was the option of yellow rice. Cuban sandwiches come in two sizes, if you have eaten within the last couple of days be prepared to take a half of the Grande home with you… So hopefully my next visit will be a little more relaxing and I won’t be worried about the apparent newness of the front staff and will kick back and enjoy myself.

Authentic and fresh Cuban sandwich! Very friendly and fast service. I always make a point to stop in at least once or twice during my winter vacation, never disappoints!

First time here. Been here many years and just never ventured in. Why did I procrastinate? This place is great! Got the basic Cuban with black beans and yellow rice. The Cuban was great. The bread was not too hard and not too thick. The black beans and rice was good. Added extra onions cause thats how I do it. All sealed with Spanish music. Great lunch. Definitely returning.

TRhe first time I went in the door at this great place i was transported back ijn time & space to the Alvarez Café in Ybor City of my youth! It was the aroma, the 2 guys yacking away in Cuban Spanish, etc. all was a pleasant trip into the past… then tasted the pork!!! Their picadilla is excellent as afre their seafood items. I am a semi-regular here now!!!

Grade C– Stopped in for the first time today. It is in a small strip mall, very friendly staff, and clean, basic diner style dining room. The price was $ 5.50 for a regular Cuban sandwich to go, double pressed. A sign advertised Le Segunda as the bread baker so I was expecting a great sandwich. Sadly, it did not even come close to being great. The first thing I noticed when removing it from the bag was how light it felt. Upon opening the wrapped paper I found a very thin sandwich pressed nicely, but somewhat greasy. It contained a thin slice of cheese, ham, salami, and pork, and was about 8″ long. The sandwich had a strange sweet flavor that was really overwhelming. I believe it came from the pork which reminded of deli roast pork. While waiting on my sandwich I looked over the menu. A basic selection of Cuban favorites. The prices seemed a bit high for Cuban food in that setting, averaging $ 10.00 for a meal. Overall, it was disappointing.

Totally awesome place! Cuban Grande and Maduros are the meal to order when you go for lunch. Good luck finding a better Cuban anywhere else but Cuba itself.

Came here for lunch — surprisingly, they have one of the best Cubans I have had in the bay area. Since this was my first visit, I tried the«basic» Cuban(salami, ham, shaved pork, swiss chee, mayo/must, and pickle). I got it «double pressed» and I recommend this for others who like a crispier sandwich. They don’t go overboard on the meat quantity, but I actually like that — it was the perfect amount.(the meat was also nice & warm throughout — no «cool center» which is so common on many Cubans around town) They have two upgraded varieties which I will try next… the Grande(which adds Cuban shredded beef) and the Cuban Delight(with some other type of meat added and provolone instead of swiss) At $ 5.50 for the basic ‘1.0′ Cuban, the price is definitely right. The interior is very clean and welcoming. Service was very friendly and FAST. Best of all — the sandwich was very good. The place looks a bit sketchy from the outside, but is like a kind of Cuban Tardis on the inside!

Best Cuban Roasted Pork in Town! One take-out serving easily feeds two. It’s a family-owned business, is clean as can be, and they offer-up some fine traditional Cuban dishes.

Very average to below average. We came here for dinner. It was obvious all the food had been cooked hours before we got there and had only been kept warm — well some of it. The fried plantains were downright cold. Good portions with okay prices but not a quality place to eat. We will not return.

The Cuban Delight sammie is to die for. I always order it extra pressed but it never comes that way. Oh well, I throw it on the Panini press when I get home They have amazing homemade Chicken Noodle soup that they are ALWAYSOUTOF. You would think they could figure this out(make more DUH!) That’s really my only complaint so all in all pretty good place
