Great introduction to Indian food for my girlfriend and I. We had the non-vegetable appetizer, chicken tandoori, and chicken tikka masala: all of them tastes fresh and were flavorful. I highly recommend a dish that has a sauce to mix in with the basmati rice(the tandoori dishes are simply meat). The service was very good, with our waiter being very patient and helpful in choosing menu items for our first time eating Indian food. The restaurant suffers from being hidden in the corner of a relatively dead strip center, but it’s a diamond in the rough. If you’re considering eating here, you’ll be upset you hadn’t sooner.

Decided to come here because Unilocal said so. Staying nearby at the Drury Inn so it was a quick walk(bonus). At the recommendation of the waiter I had the Lamb Tikka Masala(medium spice), Garlic Nan and a glass of Pinot. Everything was great. I would absolutely come back again.

Huge fan! Today was my first day experiencing their buffet(I’ve been here for dinner before) and it did not disappoint. Copper Chimney is a must try!

Best Indian Buffet in St Louis area. Thats all that can said of this hole in the wall gem. I went on a Saturday lunch buffet and they pretty much have what every Indian buffet has. Multiple different types of curries, chicken masala, tandori chicken, a more chinese style orange chicken style or somethin, a bunch of veggies /fried potatoes and things, and everything tasted good. They also give you a fresh batch of nanh which is thicker than most nanhs, which is a personal preference, but I prefer that. Much more variety than the typical Indian buffet. This place now takes the best Indian buffet in St Louis and I’ll definitely be back. Good amount seating, spaced out so you don’t feel cramped.

This has been on my to try list for a while and I finally tried it last night for dinner. Service was great and I don’t think my water glass was ever less than half full. Emily and I split the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Tikka Tandoor. The chicken tikka masala was very good and I am very glad that we ordered it medium spice. The chicken tikka tandoor was nice and juicy and was the perfect dish to compliment the chicken tikka masala. The garlic naan was okay, however I think it might have been better if they would have cooked it a minute or so less and added a bit more garlic. The lunch buffet selections looked great, so I hope to try this place out sometime for lunch. Overall I am very glad I ate here and I look forward to visiting again.

I am absolutely in love with this place. Amazing Indian fare. The food is well-flavored and fresh. The service is terrific. The lunch buffet is $ 10 and a great way to try a large portion of their menu.

Visited today based on other Unilocalers on my way through St. Louis. Lunch service was good. the food on the buffet was also good; however limited options. The best thing was the Naan! YUMMY! Con: Bathroom was disgusting — literally my shoes stuck to the floor. I was afraid to touch anywhere after I washed my hands. A fresh coat of pain on the doors would help a ton too!

Loved this lunch. Quality food with lots of choices. Service was excellent and friendly. The chicken tiki masala sauce was so savory good I can’t stop thinking about going back! Homemade naan bread is so good. The mango lasse was delightful and we ate some sweet Indian dessert that was so good. I’m going back.

This my first experience trying Indian cuisine and I have no complaints. I was tried the appetizer sampler, Lamb Korma and the Chicken Tandoori. The appetizers were good, the lamb was very good and the chicken was some of the best made chicken I’ve ever had.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in the area. They are extremely consistent in the deliciousness of the food and I have never left disappointed. It is absolutely delicious. The food is extremely flavorful and well prepared. Portions are perfect. We also frequent the buffet which never lacks in options. The staff is always very very friendly. We have become regulars here.

I was skeptical of this restaurant at first but was blown away. I felt just as happy the second time I visited. Located off the highway next to the mall making for a convenient stop when coming to St. Charles. Their mango lassie is not the best but it’s kept on the counter, so you can help yourself and it’s included in the buffet price. I usually eat at Priyaa which serves not only southern but northern Indian cuisine as well because I like it spicy. I will definitely be back, everything was fantastic!

3.5 stars — good Indian food, with some areas for improvement. Came here for the lunch buffet which is great for vegetarians! Plenty of authentic dishes to choose from and they bring fresh naan to eat with your meal. There were sizzling fried pakoras and 2 dessert options as well, so overall, the meal was well-rounded and yummy. They refill the food often so it doesn’t feel like the food stagnates too long, which I appreciated. As far as authenticity, it’s pretty good. I think the spice level was very low, probably to fit the typical Midwesterner’s palate(Disclaimer: the sky’s the limit when it comes to spicy food for me!). Price was great — only $ 9 on a weekday for unlimited food! Décor can be improved upon. I enjoyed the Bollywood music overhead, but the restaurant is very dimly lit and minimalist. FYI wine list has predominantly Barefoot and Cavit brands. I’m definitely going to try the menu a la carte next time to see how spicy we can get it, and also plan to order the Chai! I’ve been to a few other Indian restaurants in STL, but this is one of the tastiest in the area.

Amazing authentic Indian food at a fair price. It’s so delicious and they’ll cater to the level of spiciness you like. The atmosphere is casual and there’s a nice ambiance. Quiet Indian music plays while you enjoy your food

I didn’t even know this place existed, and googled it last week. It was Christmas Day, and my boyfriend and I were home alone and didn’t feel like cooking. I found this place, and called. They were open! The buffet was closed, but I ordered off the menu. Food was AMAZING. I would say probably one of the best Indian restaurants in the St. Louis area. I can’t wait to go back and try the buffet! Staff was also very friendly(even though it seemed I was the only person to go in there on Christmas), and were very quick and polite with my order. Will be going back again and again!!!

Really great find, thanks to new Unilocaler Jordan G. for the recommendation! There must be 50 or more Indian lunch buffets in and around the STL area. This one is certainly in the top tier in my book. Here’s why: + You are served fresh naan instead of grabbing it off the buffet. + They have the standard dishes but they are just more flavorful than most places(Tandoori Chicken was possibly the best I’ve ever had). + They put a little heat in their dishes… not so much that I would call them. anything beyond a 2 on a 5 point scale but enough to really wake up the flavors. + They cook in smaller batches than post places and replenish the buffet frequently so everything is very fresh. It’s worth noting that your Garmin will probably spot the address incorrectly. They are located in the back corner of the strip mall, not right by DSW.

I tried the Copper Chimney for the first time tonight. Now I want to know why I waited so long. I started with the vegetable appetizer which a very nice sampeling of 5 different vegetable appetizers. Followed by the Pander Tikka Masala. The cheese cubes are home made and I had the sauce medium heat. I also orders some cheese and onion naan. The food was flavored extremely good and the portion was very generous. The service was exceptional. I would highly recommend. As a footnote, they also have a lunch buffet available.

This quaint little place is at the top of my family’s list! We frequently eat lunch here, eating from the buffet. They usually have the same items, but sometimes switch it up and have lamb curry or something like that. All the buffet items are really fresh and taste AMAZING every time. I’m a huge mint chutney girl, and there’s is great. The staff is really great, they are always friendly and take care of you right away. This is a good restaurant for kids, as well. None of their food is really spicy on the buffet, and the kids love that. Maybe one day we will have dinner there for a date night. I am eager to order from the menu to find out what I’ve been missing.

Every item on the Buffett was delicious. Service was excellent and it was clean. Fresh hot naan is delivered to the table. Probably often overlooked because it’s tucked away in the corner of plaza.

I am not sure what people saw in this restaurant. I wanted some great Indian cuisine on my birthday, so I found this place in a dark corner of a crumbling parking lot and half empty strip center. I read the reviews and thought to myself, why not give it a shot?, others seem to love this place. Worst choice! I was seated in a booth that the cushions were dirty and sticky. The carpeted floors were dingy and the lighting and lack of focus to detail on décor was disheartening. I ordered their Lamb Tikka Masala, my favorite dish. When it got to me I dug in. The rice was flavorless and the sauce had a funny tang to it. I figured it was just the way they prepared their tomato cream sauce. I think they forgot the«CREAM» part of that sauce. The food was just off and the entire dinner I was attacked by little black flies which is a sure fire indicator this place is filthy. I headed to the bathroom, where there were more small, black flies than there were in the dining room. It was not kept clean to say the least. The carpet by the bathroom was sticky and left an odor in the back of the restaurant that was sour. After I left, I had to pull over as to not throw up in my car. I got home and continued to vomit for the next few hours. If you choose to offer your patronage to The Copper Chimney, I implore you to think twice… for your health and well being.

Had a great dinner at the Copper Chimney tonight. I’m in the St. Louis area on business and my hotel is in St. Peters. This restaurant got good reviews on Unilocal and it was close, so I thought I would give it a try. Let’s get this out of the way… If you are looking for this place on «Google maps», put your phone away. Google will take you about 200 yards away from where you need to be. The restaurant is in the corner of a strip mall on Suemandy Dr. In the strip mall is a large Value City Furniture store. Also, there is a Halloween Express store. In the corner of this strip mall is the Copper Chimney. On the other side of the Copper Chimney is a planned parenthood. If you are lost, like I was, just call. They are very nice and they will help you find it. The décor was… well– It was casual Indian! The walls were painted a mustard yellow and orange and it had Indian music playing over the sound system, which always makes it feel more authentic. I ordered a glass of Cabernet from off their small wine list. They brought out a glass of ice water and a dish of Papadum with a couple of chutney sauces. One was a sweet sauce that tastes like a plum sauce to me and the other was a green sauce made with cilantro that was rather spicy. For my entrees, I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, Garlic Naan and of course it was all served with basamati rice. I thought everything was delicious. It was exactly what I was craving. Very consistent with the Indian food I have come to love. Great Meal! If you are in the area and craving Indian food, go for it– You’ll love it!
