Mulberrys Garment Care

We were not impressed with our experience at Mulberry’s on Grand Ave. The first time we went, we were 5 minutes before opening and the woman working wouldn’t even make eye contact with us at the door, or politely let us know we could come back later. When we came back later, we were treated very nicely, and most of our clothes were cleaned well. However, one dress we brought was $ 18 for cleaning and came with a note that the stain wouldn’t come out. Outraged, we brought it to a different cleaner who was able to take it out. We will now be using this cleaner instead.

I really wanted to like this place. I’m a professional transplant with a large public engagement schedule. I had been both told by local friends and Unilocal that Mulberry’s would provide not only the type but quality of service I’m accustomed to in a dry cleaner. Unfortunately, I doubt I will ever personally know about their overall quality because the customer service was just inexcusable. The young woman/​manager was rude and abrupt. Not a good way to engage any customer but particularly a new one with two arms brimming with suits, slacks and dress shirts. Even after I cited how she had offended me (cutting me off and talking over me as I have her the information she requested), she was so untrained she did not utter an apology. Wow. For the prices this places charges and its locally upscale location, I expected much, much better. I wasted time and gas only to find myself at Hamline, down the street from my residence, which has also received better-​than-​average Unilocal reviews. And it’s cheaper!

I’ve always had a good experience at Mulberry’s, but I just witnessed a man being charged $ 1251.08 for the cleaning and preservation of his wife’s wedding dress!!! I glanced at the service menu, and from what I could see, that service is supposed to cost the already-​excessive price of $ 600. I haven’t had my wedding dress cleaned yet, but I know for a fact I will NOT be taking it to Mulberry’s. Brides-​to-​be, get your price quotes in writing. And don’t let ANY business rip you off just because your purchase has something to do with a wedding.

I borrowed a dress from a friend for a big event and had a silk shirt I had purchased that I was afraid to wash. In looking for a dry cleaner near me, I found Mulberry’s. I also found a coupon code that I could use for $ 10 off of my order, so I thought «I’ll give it a shot!». The service was fantastic, and the place smelled amazing (likely due to the cleaning product line they seemed to be selling). I stopped back the next week, picked up my items, and was totally satisfied with the cleaning of both items. Mulberry’s will be my dry cleaner of choice from now on.

The store location and hours are very convenient for me and the staff is always very friendly. The laundry is turned around very quickly, too. There has been an error in the past where a shirt was dry cleaned instead of ordinary laundering as described by Michele G below (they did refund me the difference in price when I pointed out the error, so what the heck, stuff happens). The only thing I object to is the heavy wooden hangers for shirts that take up so much room in my closet and are so inconvenient to return. I wish they’d go back to wire hangers.

Cleaning with Mulberries may cost you a bit more, but it’s worth it to avoid that icky «dry cleaning» smell and the chemicals that cause it. I’ve had a couple of instances where an item has been lost (an accompanying belt, for example). But all in all, this is a great business that I continue to go back to for all of my dry cleaning needs.

This place saved pieces that I thought were completely ruined! Would recommend to anyone!

Very impressed – no pun intended. Brought in a suit that had mildew and asked if it could be cleaned. No problem, they said. Extra charge? Nope. Suit was ready ahead of the scheduled time and looked brand-​new. This IS our cleaners from now on, even though it’s a bit of a drive to get there. Well worth the time.

By far my favorite dry cleaner! After returning from a trip to Europe, I had washed a favorite shirt multiple times with a stain from my travels that I thought for sure would not come out. Thanks to Mulberrys, it came out! I have total confidence in them and have had formal dresses, duvets, and many other items cleaned through their services. Friendly staff too! Major bonus that they are eco friendly.

Love this cleaner. Clothes are clean and don’t smell like petroleum. Would recommend to friends and family.

I love this dry cleaner! They incorporate everything that is important to me, eco friendly practices, wooden hangers, bio degradable bags AND my clothes look great every time I get them back. I have recommended them to family and friends and non of us have been disappointed.

So far, I’m not impressed. I’ve brought items here twice in the past couple weeks and they are 0 for 2 on getting the order right. It’s laundry, shouldn’t be that complicated, right?! The first time, when I picked up our order they gave me a shirt that wasn’t ours. They had counted wrong, so I thought this was an extra, but we actually were missing a shirt (and the info on the slip was correct, but not attached to the correct shirt). They did find the correct shirt a few days later and didn’t charge us for it, but still a hassle. When I picked up our second order this morning, they charged me $ 9 for one men’s shirt because they had dry-​cleaned it rather than laundered. I didn’t ask for that and the tag didn’t say «dry clean only», so not sure how that mistake was made. The clerk gave me a store credit for the extra charge, but that means I have to go back again. We’ll see if the third time’s a charm, otherwise they’re out!
