Beautiful historical home with views to match. Breakfasts are fresh with organic foods. The town offers restaurants and shopping all in walking distance. Kayaking and hiking trails are also available.

The owners of the Nob Hill B&B cancelled our reservation for October 2015. They did so with a form email that left us nearly no time to book new accommodations, during a very busy weekend in St. Helens. Our vacation was almost ruined by this establishment. I learned later that our room had simply been let go to another party who was willing to book a longer stay across a large block of rooms. This was profoundly unsettling. I will not try to book here again. There are many other wonderful places to stay in and around St. Helens and I encourage you to look into them first.

Absolutely beautiful porch view with big pots of geraniums and a great red painted chair. We were treated with a great glass of red wine and ate at a good local restaurant. Our«suite» was really beautiful and we also enjoyed the living areas for cards, reading, chats. The hostess was delightfully engaged in her gardens and with her chickens. Unfortunately we missed out on what sounds like would have been a great breakfast but the deep claw foot bath almost made up for that! Quite the find really!

My husband and I decided to spend our 4th anniversary here and it was excellent. Nob Hill B&B is a romantic hideaway outside from the city. The peaceful atmosphere provides you with the mental rest you need. The view is breathtaking and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Tana the innkeeper is very passionate about the comfort of her guests and it shows! She provided us with an outstanding organic breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend this place to any couple wanting to escape from the crazy city life for a couple of days!

This Bed and Breakfast is amazing. What is such a fantastic place doing in St Helens, OR? I have no idea, and I didn’t ask, but I’m glad my mom and aunt booked most of their rooms for us all to stay in during a family reunion. The innkeeper is so sweet, friendly, and welcoming, she really makes you feel at home. And her cooking is mouthwatering, so good! Our downstairs suite was really large too, with two bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. Basically an entire apartment. If you’re looking for a romantic break away from Portland but not too far, this is the place to go. Walk around downtown a little, see the antique stores, visit the Twilight souvenir shop and Twilight filming locations, and go out into nature or drive along the river towards Astoria. But stay at Nob Hill, you won’t regret it!

On a road trip recently, we were fortunate to stay in the Casa Blanca Suite in this 3 Guestroom B & B. Suite is an understatement. It is a well-appointed apartment with a kitchen, parlor, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with a soaking tub and the use of the adjacent laundry room. We found the latter especially welcome after travelling for a week! The Innkeeper, Tana was a gracious hostess, preparing coffee for us on the porch upon our arrival and grinding fresh coffee for our pre-breakfast wake-up the following morning. The bed in the Master Bedroom was the most comfortable that I have slept in with a pillowtop mattress and soft sheets and pillowslips. I had to be pried out of bed the next morning as I was so cozy. However, I rewarded myself for having to get up with a nice, long soak in the large tub. Breakfast was served in the dining room, and we were treated to a fresh fruit parfait with homemade yogurt and fresh-from the garden whole figs so perfect that they looked as if they were porcelain. Then came the Dutch Babies, presented so beautifully. Mine came with a fresh rosebud that looked tempting. My husband had a sprig of fresh Sage. On the Dutch Babies(Tana’s family recipe) was a perfect raspberry syrup, with just a hint of sweetness. Accompanying the dish was an organic chicken sausage. We were also served orange juice and French press coffee. It was all so perfect we wished we could have lingered longer. The B & B sits on a hill above town and has a sweeping view of the Columbia River and across to Washington State. If you are thinking of staying in the Portland area, do yourself a favor and drive just a little farther and stay at this B & B where you can truly relax. Although it is a little out of the way, it is such a peaceful location and conveniently located near several restaurants. I am looking forward to a return visit in the future.
