Americas Best Value Inn St. Helen

What would have been a four star review for the hotel itself was pushed to a five (would’ve done 6 if I could) for customer service. This is the second time we’ve stayed here. The first time we had a reservation, a nice stay, a good meal and excellent customer service with EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE INTERACTION. This stay they managed to squeeze us in the already full hotel, managed to find us a roll away bed (did I mention they were already full) and managed to get us food from the full menu even though the restaurant was already closed. The common denominator on why every thing went so smoothly, Jamie the lady at the desk. If her manager doesn’t already know, that’s an employee worth her weight in gold — give her a raise! I would recommend this hotel time and time again.

Today is our first stay here but will not be our last. We have family that lives nearby and as each of our families has grown, it has gotten more complicated (and expensive) to drive between states for short visits.
This Motel is an answer to prayer! Affordable, friendly, clean… Sure, there are a few outdated aspects but if you want to pay an extra $ 40 – 60 per night a few doors down to have shiny new countertops for a night, then more space for me at the Value Inn!

Appears that they’re working on updates a little at a time (good business practice if you ask me) and remain open in the meantime.
I’ll take and share more pics tomorrow, but I am very happy with the value we received here :)

I came here few times for breakfast and I like the way they prepare the food. Servers are very friendly, the way they cook my white omelet is just perfect! not to dry or too runny. Potatoes O’Brien is good, my husband always have them with the country fried steak. yummy… decent price too! even better!
