To put it mildly, we think Quality Inn stinks. The review that Mark B. posted on 8÷5÷2015 describes our situation exactly. We were attending a wedding in Woodland on 8÷1÷2015 and had reservations to stay here the nights of 7⁄31 and 8⁄1. The morning of 7/31, I received a call that the hotel was, as of that day, no longer part of the Quality Inn/Choice Hotels group and our reservation would not be honored because our reservation had been booked through the Quality Inn system. Neither the facility itself nor Quality Inn could – or would – do anything about it. There were no other rooms available in Woodland. We had to stay in Portland and drive 35 miles each way to the wedding. It was really inconvenient and costly. My wife called Quality Inn headquarters upon our return to register our displeasure and got the distinct impression that they just didn’t care. From this day forward, I will go out of my way to stay anywhere but a Quality Inn.

My parents booked multiple rooms here over a year in advance of my wedding for themselves and family coming into town. The morning they were to come up and check in they received a call saying that their reservations had all been cancelled. The reason given was that the hotel was under new management and they were not honoring any of the previous reservations. And then they did not give my parents the option to rebook. So my family was forced to find a new hotel that day for themselves and our other family members.

I was driving from Seattle to Southern Oregon and knew I would not make it the whole way since I started out pretty late. I usually plan ahead so I know where I want to stop but didn’t on this trip. That left me looking for somewhere clean and reasonably priced to stop. By the time I got to Woodland I was ready for some sleep. I decided on the Quality Inn but honestly there were not many choices. Check in was easy and the clear was very pleasant. She quickly got me checked in and on my way to my room. It was a very nice surprise to find myself in a totally recently remodeled room. The bed was decent the room was quite big and included a small couch sitting area. There was also a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. I had a good night sleep. There was a continental breakfast in the morning but I didn’t have it so I am. It sure what it was like. Overall it was a good value.

I don’t understand what the other people were saying in the previous reviews. We had a wonderful time. The gentleman who was at the desk was wonderful. The room was clean, we slept great and we used the pool and had no issues. Breakfast was good. The front desk person was taking care of that and he was able to keep it stocked. The only negative I have is that we had little kids with us and they were going to shut the pool down early for cleaning/maintenance. But, he did keep it open for us to use it.

If I could give 0 stars I would. All I can say is YUCK! We stayed here because we didn’t have a choice. Knowing what I know now I would never ever stay here again. I would rather drive another 30min and stay someplace else. The rooms were dirty, the AC didn’t work, the front desk staff was rude, it was a pain to get towels, they had to be asked multiple times to clean the room… obviously you get what you pay for… I would say avoid this place at all cost.

Family stayed here last weekend. Used the hot tub and pool and after developing a very Painful and nasty rash, went to doc. Diagnosed as hottub focullitis from bacteria in water. Yuk! Don’t use the hot tub! Also, ac didn’t work in room. Front desk staff not well trained. Overall, not a good experience.
