Nice hotel, beautiful setting, friendly staff and close to everything downtown St. Charles. We had a wonderful time, enjoyed sightseeing and biking the Katy Trail.

I writing this for my mom since she doesn’t use the internet, but she had an excellent experience here so she wanted me to post for her. She says, «We held a reunion here and found the staff to be most helpful. The breakfast was outstanding. The rooms were comfortable. The group rate was excellent. The location couldn’t have been better for touring Old Town St. Charles. There was nothing lacking.»

Nice rooms. No parking. Stayed here for Oktoberfest. Suite was large, included coffee machine, microwave and half-sized fridge. Prices reasonable. Breakfast served until 10:30 and offered eggs, potatoes, cereal, waffles and oatmeal. No bacon or donuts. My main complaint is there was no parking available. They gave us a parking permit for the dash. We drove down to the parking lot and all the spaces were taken. We got out and walked around and only about 20% of the vehicles in their lot had the permit. Didn’t see any vehicles being towed or any tow warnings, just signs saying«hotel guest parking only». Had to park down the street. Extremely disappointed in the poor parking situation, they need a gate that works with your room key like other hotels offer.

After a long day of travel from OKC, we stopped here in St. Charles. Hotel is gorgeous however a number of minor problems keeps this rating down. Problems included: mattresses that need replacement, pillows with NO support, pealing paint on the ceiling of the shower, slow and aging elevator. The building itself is grand. The lobby area is beautiful. The halls are clean and huge! Check-in was quick and flawless. Staff is friendly. Would I return? Yes, hopefully with a more comfortable room. Would I recommend saying here? Yes, with caution… don’t have high hopes!

Getting ready to check out in an hour. I think this is a great hotel! Check in was fast and friendly. It is right on Main St. in St. Charles so you can easily walk to the little shops and restaurants. Parking was fine. The room was nice but the thermostat was initially set waaaay too low. I did not use the pool or hot tub. The pool is indoors and small. The complementary breakfast was very good. Free USA Today newspapers are available in the lobby, as well as complementary cookies, coffee and fresh fruit. The free Wi-Fi worked great. The small library area adjacent to the lobby is charming. The Ameristar Casino is only a short walk or ride away. If I visit St. Charles again I will definitely stay here as long as the cost is not prohibitive.

Stayed there New Years Eve, 2012. the room was beautiful, however. there was no fan for white noise. not even in the bathroom. The thermostat was broke and it was HOT. With nothing to drown out outside noise, and the heat, we didn’t sleep at all. Also, the toilet was not clean… something brown and crusty on toilet.

Overall not a bad place to stay. Starting to get a little run down. The staff was very nice, great parking and fairly clean.

Would have been 2 stars and great service took them to 4 stars. The hotel is very nice with a pool and all of the amenities. Our room was big and comfortable. The would have been 2 stars comes from the fact that our air conditioner barely worked in 95+ degree heat. And the light in the bathroom flickered. The management got the light fixed and provided a fan after my wife complained. The said they would«make it right». Well, «make it right» turned out to be a complimentary stay! Excellent service recovery. I’m a fan.
