I was strolling along Main St. When I came across LAMAISONETTE antique store situated in a renovated gingerbread house in quaint Sag Harbor. If you told me I would take the time to review an antique store, I would have told you that you were crazy… but here goes: It was so refreshing to walk into this place and not feel harassed or pressured by the salespeople, who are extremely friendly and knowledgable. The shop owners, also architect and designers, are world travelers who have brought back amazing wares that are beautifully displayed in the store. If you know antiques, prices are pretty reasonable for these rare finds. I wasn’t looking for anything particular but ended up purchasing an amazing 18th century table and Moroccan rug that I proudly display in my home and is a great conversation piece I would highly recommend a visit to LAMAISONETTE in Sag Harbor. Not only did I walk out with the perfect antique table and rug for my home, I also received a wealth of knowledge on the history of their antiques and collectibles. Can’t wait to go back with more money!
