I was quite pleasantly please with this place. The portions are big. Their green sauce is delicious, and the prices are relative to the portions. The bar also has a decent selection of Mexican beers, and at a decent price(glass of a draft beer is only $ 2.75). Anyways, it was my first time in and i will keep coming back.

I love the huge portions and the food is so yummy! During happy hour, which is like all day sunday(and I don’t know if they’re still doing it, but before I think it was sunday, monday, tuesday and wednesday all day) all the appetizers are ½ off and the nachos only cost like $ 3.50. They’re so huge you can share with someone and still have left overs unless you eat a ton! The only reason I don’t give them a 5 is because of the take-out service. I phoned in my order, they told me 15 minutes, I got there 15 minutes later and one of the waiters asked me if I had called in the nachos, which I did. 15 minutes later(without another person in sight)… a manager came over to see what I was waiting for and I told her my nachos that I called in and it seems to me like they made them right then and there. So they get one star taken away for that mix up, but I’ll give them another chance. The nachos were still delicious

I have to say that this place is okay! My co-workers and I came to this restaurant for tacos. I ordered the taco combo for only $ 7, which was not expensive. The décor was nice… typical…the service was good… and out food was okay!!! I guess you can say that this place did not WOW me because it was not memorable… forgotten already…

I made reservations here for my Boyfriend and Uncles birthday dinner, and I must say it was a very pleasant experience. We were all helped and paid attention to the entire evening, which seems to be a difficult thing to do when my family goes out to eat.(We can sometimes be a demanding bunch.) The food was good and EVERYONE enjoyed their meal, there was not one complaint about anyone’s dish! I ordered the Chili Colorado and a house margarita. The entrée was good and put a smile on my face but their house margarita wasnt very flavorful. I did however get to try the Patron Margarita and it was much better then their house margarita. But still not what I was looking for. The thing that made this place really great to me was the service we got. When i brought in my BF’s birthday cake they asked me if I would like it to go in their refrigerator to stay cool.(This was never offered to me at other places such as SACBREW where I had my 21st birthday) BUTITGETSBETTER… when it was time to cut the cake the waitress brought out a small dessert dish for everyone along with a cake knife and serving spoon. When she saw that I had not brought any candles she offered to go in the back and get us some!(Again I have never had good service like that anywhere before) So Thank Your Vientos for doing a great job at treating your customers right. Because as we all know it is a very hard quality now an day to get the service that we should be getting at a restaurant.

One of my favorite Mexican food restaurants in Sacramento. Very laid back place with friendly bartenders. Food is consistently good and service is consistently fast.

We used to eat at Viento’s literally all the time until I tried La Rosa Blanca and discovered how terrible Vientos really is! Chips are usually stale and as one person said«there never is a wait.» That’s right, you can usually bowl in the place. That’s normally a hint when it comes to restaurants. If you get meat on a «good» night it is good, otherwise it is chewy and without flavor. The tamales and chili rellanos are typical flat things smothered with sauce. It’s an O.K. place if Taco Bell is closed, but otherwise it is overpriced, bland and boring beyond belief.

Mexican menu with surprises. Order the shrimp quesadilla. They really prepare the food well and spices and seasoning to added perfectly Recently has been slow and there is only a wait on Friday and Saturday nights.

I recently tried the Roseville location that replaced Maui Tacos. I was not really impressed. I ordered a Chicken Burrito«wet». The sauce was OK, but generally, the whole thing was pretty boring. I could not get my head around why they served HOT, yes HOT, Salsa. It tasted like weird spaghetti sauce and seemed out of place. If this is their«signature» then I prefer to eat elsewhere. I agree with a prior reviewer — chips did taste stale.

Let’s not play: Greenhaven shits the bed when it comes to food options. That being said, Vientos Mexican Grill is a hot pimp of a noshing spot — complete with patio seating and kick ass nachos. Vientos offers two types of salsa — one hot, one cold. Regulars in the know(ie: People I’ve told), order a side of sour cream to dip with the hot salsa. Think heaven. Only better. The food: California spun Mexican. Taco salads feel light and fresh, pastas have an Italian twist(the most popular being the Pasta Mexicana which features chopped roma tomatoes and fresh basil), and the carnitas are tender not crispy. Sauces are clutch, particularly the burrito sauce which is so goddamn delicious you’d swear you were having Thanksgiving dinner. The fundamentals: Vientos takes reservations, has a stellar non-smoking patio, and clean bathrooms. The place looks more authentic than the ruins I saw in Cancun, the service is friendly and approachable. Whatever the hell that means. Another Vientos(yay!) resides in Country Club Plaza(boo!) — but that establishment reads more like an ugly stepchild. Why hook up with Andrea Zuckerman when you can have Kelly Taylor for free? Plus, the Greenhaven locale has a 24 Hour Fitness in the same strip mall. So get your Kirstie Alley on guilt free!

Bleh… boring uninspired food. Went here tonight and haven’t had that crappy of food since I last went to El Novillero. We did have really good house margaritas that were served up by the friendly and attentive bartender/waiter. When trying to ask about the happy hour specials to the bus girl… we got a mumbled answer that could only have been interpreted as «I don’t speak English». The quesadilla was bland and unadventurous and the cheese enchilada was doused in a crummy red sauce that did it zero justice. The chile relleno was ok but still had a canned style sauce on it that left an off taste in my mouth. I just wasn’t impressed with the food here. The only thing(besides the margarita) that I enjoyed was the beans! I appreciate that they give you two different types of salsa but neither of them could save the somewhat stale chips.

I’ve been to Viento’s a few times(In the shopping plaza at Marconi & Fulton)…always on Sunday which is happy hour all day if you sit at the bar. The drinks are always good as are the chips and salsa. The food is definitely not authentic, but it’s still good food. I always get the chicken quesadilla which is loaded with chicken. The prices and service are great. I would not go here specifically for dinner, but it’ a great place to grab some drinks and munch on some appetizers.

I am reviewing Vientos in Country club plaza, If this is not the same. I like to go here because of the atmosphere and the Shrimp Quesedilla. Its comfortable booths call to me especailly after standing all day at work. There isn’t ever a long wait because we tend to go a little early for Dinner but it does fill up while we are there. Chips and salsa are good and fresh but the menu is a bit Americanized. You Get alot of food, usually enough to share or take home for leftovers. The shrimp Quesedilla has jalipenos with a kick but I think they are roasted with onions so it is tasty but not too spicy. I like spice but not a burning mouth.

Okay my husband and I go to the one in the Counrty Club Plaza, just about once a week– you can’t beat the Happy Hour here. True it isnt authenitic mexician food-but i dont think thats any big secret. The bartender DJ is Awesome– makes the best patron Marg. Ever! We watch sports on the plazma and enjoy the chips and salsa. Sundays are all day happy hour, and they now have seating outside.

The food here is pretty good. The service isnt that great, and you have to wait for what seems like forever to place your order. But, the BEST thing on the menu is this: Nini’s Pollo Simply splendid. Really, really good. This restaraunt is very americanized. Thats not a bad thing, but c’mon-mashed potatoes on every plate?

Ok these people have got to be kidding me, this is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Here is why: 1. they give you 2 types of salsa and one is cold and spicy and one is served warm and its a bit more mild. 2. The chicken tacos are bomb 3. Every meal comes with a side green salad on the plate and I know it is just ranch dressing but it tastes like heaven on earth, they must make it themselves or something because I have never tasted such great ranch dressing before. 4. There is never a wait here, and they bring your food out right away 5. Their mixed appetizer plate is pure bliss consisting off quesadilla to jalapeño poppers to taquitos. All served with this tasty dipping sauce, again I don’t know what it is but is REAL good. 6. They quickly bring you more, water, chips or salsa when they notice you are out. As a side note, I am yet to bring anyone here who has not enjoyed it!!!

I go here a couple times a month. But I don’t really go for the food. The Salsa is not good at all, and nothing on the menu really tastes great. The fish tacos are alright if you are hungry. The real reason I have gone is for the bartender DJ. He does a great job of servicing the few tables in the comfy bar area. He is attentive and does a great job of keeping his customers happy. If you are looking for a place for some drinks with OK appetizers, this is a decent choice. If you are looking for anything else, keep looking.

I didn’t eat here, but I did try their margaraitas… and I’m not sure I felt anything. I gave it 2 stars because the restaurant was pretty and I wanted to steal the art work off the wall. So did my friend sharing the margaritas. But when I’m not sure about the margaritas, I can’t give a restaurant a high star rating. Their salsa tasted like marinara sauce at first but it grew on me and my friend. I’ll update this review if I ever try the food.

My recommendation– go on Sunday, sit in the cozier bar area(they have booths and a few tables in addition to bar seating) for half-price appetizers and Happy Hour Specials All Day! The Chicken Nachos(8 bucks or so regular priced, so 4 bucks all day on Sunday) are good and filling– piled high with jack and cheddar cheese, refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, salsa. I also like both of their salsas– one, served cold; the other(chipotle) served warm. Be forewarned– the Nachos WILL fill you up, so I wouldn’t recommend ordering other entrees.

My coworkers and I went yesterday for lunch. I thought it would be similar to the one out in Greenhaven. The food is very blah and not spicy; even the salsa kind of sucked. The Greenhaven one might be better simply because there is a patio to eat on. We had nachos, which made everyone feel sort of sick and overfull. My coworkers had chimichangas that looked too small, and I just had the taco plate. It was okay, nothing to write home about. At the greenhaven restaurant, I liked the salsa, the chips came as halved tortillas, the fajitas were spicy and good and the beans were delicious. I can’t speak about any other food there, as I’ve only tried the fajitas. However, I can say matter of factly that the Viento’s in Town And Country was not very good. In addition, I had to wave the check around my head trying to get their attention so we could pay and get going. I think it took about 10 minutes to get them to actually TAKE the money. Sheesh. You’re better off picking up a salad togo at TJs.
