Definitely a solid restaurant with good Thai food. I ordered for takeout and arrived 5 minutes after calling. They greeted me and asked if I wanted water while I was waiting, which was nice. I ordered green curry with chicken which had a good spice to it but wasn’t too spicy. I also got pad-see-ew the beef for the kids, which is one of their favorites. As an appetizer, I got their angel wings. It was crispy and had a spicy glaze sauce with some fresh basil leaves. Very delicious! Of course I had some white rice to go with all of this. Once it was brought home, my family and I demolished the food. Overall I think this place is really good! Would definitely come back.

Great place, great service and great food! Enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken over brown rice & it was fabulous!

I love this place, food is wonderful. I would give it 4 stars, but lately it seems like hardly anyone is working, even though the one waiter seems to be working hard. Just saw someone walk out because no one would seat or consult her, it’s a shame. Hope this place makes it! They need staff or a manager or something.

Excellent service and the food is great. Accidentally ran across this hidden treasure about 5 years back and am now hooked! I love very spicy and if asked they will make it extra spicy for you. I think that for the most part they keep it on the tasty side. My favorite is the red curry with plans or the red curry with seafood. They have a assortment of condiments that allow you to kick up the spice level to your liking at the tables.

I get to-go from here often. The vegetarian food is great. Service is always friendly. Prices are slightly higher than other family thai spots(lunch to go portions are a little small in comparison too). But the food is absolutely delicious. My only complaint is that I always request«mild-not spicy» and then, once I get the food home, the chef did whatever he wanted and added peppers and spice in. Once it was so spicy we couldn’t eat it. Other than that, I recommend it.

Was working in East Sac at lunch time and went into the Thai Palace. Nice looking inside and not too busy. I ordered the Thai Fried Rice with pork and it came very quickly. It looked as good as it tasted too! Nice to see the condiment assortment included chopped chiles in fish sauce. This should be a standard in all Thai restaurants. Are you listening Thai Chile in Elk Grove?

It such a nice cute place. Love the ambiance and décor. Parking isn’t great. We walked in and was greeted right away. We were ordering to go so someone gave us a menu and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We weren’t really thirsty. They checked on us twice because we weren’t quite sure what to order yet(we were ordering for about 8 people). We finally ordered and they offered us water or anything we would want to drink again just in case. Our food took a while(longer than they said) but we weren’t bothered at all because we ordered A LOT of food. They gave us complimentary Thai tea for waiting for so long. Their service is awesome and they are very sweet. When we finally got to eat the food it was sooo good! When I’m in the area again I will for sure come back!

Been going here for a long time and the food has never changed. I agree that service is not great but the food def makes up for it. Hands down the best Thai in Sacramento!

I see a lot of bad reviews on here for bad service, luckily that was not the case for us today. We had three different servers helping us tonight, all very helpful and friendly. The food was quite good — we had the beef salad, which was amazing; the prawn and tofu pad thai which was very good; and the Thai fried rice was just okay, very moist, not a lot of flavor. I definitely plan to come back since their prices seem reasonable, the service was good, and there were several other things I wanted to try in the menu.

This place is a :30 walk from us and that includes the time that we decide that we don’t want to cook on a particular evening. I really enjoy their dishes. So many to choose from but I will stick to my Roasted Duck Curry as my standby. Exceptional service. Good food. I recommend this on ANY night you don’t feel like cooking and you’re in the East Sacramento region.

Two different times my husband and I have tried to eat here; both times we were not waited on. Both times we were sat, one time with a menu, another without. Both times we waited 15 – 20 minutes without ever being checked on; it wasn’t until we got up to leave that they ask if everything is okay. No it wasn’t.

Worst pad Thai. Old, stale, I’m pretty sure they saved noodles from people’s dinner plates and put it all together. A waste of time and money

I was brought to Thai Palace by as part of a business meeting, and I was surprised by how much I liked the place, which quite frankly does not look so promising from the tiny parking lot in front. The food was excellent, though the portions were not large, and I enjoyed my chicken pad thai very much. The noodles were just moist enough to be coated in flavor without dripping sauce. The sauce was on the sweet side, which made one of my coworkers not like it, but I have a bit of a sweet-tooth and liked it very much. The fresh mung bean sprouts and crushed peanuts added a nice crunch, but they are classics for pad thai, as were the nicely fried tofu cubes. I really liked the grilled green onions, which were a nice touch. My ranking for Sacramento’s best pad thai is updated to: 1. Taste of Thai 2. Thai Palace 3. The Coconut Midtown 4. Star Ginger 5. Noodles to Thai for 6. Thai Basil 7. Sawasdee 8. P. F. Changs

5 stars for the super yummy food! But the service was super slow so I gave them 4 stars. I recommend the yellow curry and the spicy eggplant.

I hate it when people give one-star ratings based on service alone. We came here on a busy Friday night and waited 30 minutes before they took our order. Then another 40-minute wait to get the bill. The food was good, probably a four-star meal, but the long wait and forgetting two items we requested drops them one star. We may come again on a less-busy night and try again.

Great place for some chill afternoon thai on a weekday. This particular day was a rainy one, and the red curry hit the spot. You know, that spot. It was just spicy enough, rich and had a good ratio of veggies to broth. I like to mostly be left alone and take my time while dining solo, and the waitress gave me plenty of space while still filling water when necessary. My only gripe, really, was being charged $ 1.50 for rice when it was presented to me as being a part of the meal. All she said was, «would you like white rice or brown rice?» in a manner which implied it came with the curry. Not a huge deal, I suppose… and probably my bad for assuming. Ambience was good and the music was unobtrusive… although the ting ting ting of constant bell-songs started to get annoying. Overall a great spot to chill out, enjoy some delicious food, and read a book.

My old ass car died in the parking lot of Thai Palace, so as I waited for AAA to come help me, I decided to grab some Thai food. Bee was my server and she was very helpful, pointing out her favorite items and dishes that the restaurant was known for. I decided on fresh spring rolls and their lemon chicken. The food was amazing. The spring rolls were delicious and the chicken crispy and savory. A nice little surprise was their crispy spinach that was underneath my chicken-to die for! I promised I would be back and I intend to make good on that promise.

Flavor explosions !! Affordable and friendly quick service. The duck curry was spicy and had a hint of peanut sauce. Good size thai iced tea and the spinach appetizer is a fun thing to share with friends. I highly recommend.

I’ve eaten Thai food at other restaurants in Sac but my friend has never had Thai food, so we both came here and we’re totally satisfied with the entire experience. The best food and wonderful customer service. This place is highly reviewed for very good reasons. Yummiest!
