If your dish comes out too salty, don’t expect good customer service; expect to take an insult from the lady manager who will say«You’re the only one to complain.» This type of service is «old school oriental service.» If you bought it, it’s final. Customer service is not their strength. Our table took the lost on the salty beef dish without argument.

I ate at this place very often when I worked in downtown. It still needs a remodel. That boss lady in the front desk is so funny. The food here is cook to order. It is steaming hot when you get it. I’m a big fan of their noodles.

I’ve been here a couple of times and I must say the food is good. I prefer the noodles over rice but both are delicious. The chicken is tender and the teriyaki sauce is a little too thin for me but great flavor. It is owned I believe by a married couple who have argued in the middle of launch time rush. But hey, you get to witness some real live married couple /business partner life.lol. The wait is a little long but again it made to order and it actually worth the wait if you pick the right thing. This place also serves a variation of Korean bbq and soups. The food is filling and I think they give you plenty for the price. Each protein does cost a different but thats because seafood is always more expensive. Enjoy and get there before the lunch rush ! :)

Upon walking into the restaurant, on the counter, I immediately noticed a TV screen which was transitioning constantly between the various dishes offered for lunch. One caught my immediate attention: Hot Stone Bowl Bibimbap. The bowl is served extremely hot(think of the way they serve you fajitas at Mexcian restaurants). Stacked on top of rice and portioned around it comes: zucchini, spinach, soybean sprouts, beef, and spicy/seasoned daikon. It’s then topped with a fried egg and sesame seeds. Hungry yet? What I’ve described isn’t even the best part of the dish. The bowl is served SOHOT that the rice immediately touching the bottom and sides of the bowl gets«burnt» and crunchy. If you’ve never had Bibimbap this style, you haven’t had(what this restaurant claims is) the BEST way to eat Bibimbap. Seriously, those little crunchy burnt pieces of rice that make their way into random mouthfuls make this dish an experience more than a mere meal. I chose to mix in the house Sriracha type sauce to give it a little kick. The cook came out to check on me just after I started consuming the meal. She was very nice and(just in case I didn’t know how to eat the dish) she informed me that there were little pieces of burnt rice to eat as well. I smiled and gave her a thumbs up to acknowledge that I had already found ‘em. This place is definitely dingy and, to those less adventurous Unilocalers, sketchy, but I’ve long prided myself with going places most won’t and trying things most don’t. Once again, my spirit of adventure was greatly rewarded.

They were just shut down(again) for a day last week for vermin infestation. Lots and lots of rodent droppings, some in close proximity to the food. Also, there food handling is atrocious, with foods being kept at unsafe temperatures, improper(and unsafe) cooking technique being used and so on.

I’m only writing this review because I care for the overall health of all humanity. So let me ask you this: would you EVER eat at a restaurant that has been shut down more than three times for«insect/rodent infestation» even though you enjoy the chicken teriyaki? Perhaps it isn’t chicken you’re eating anymore but cooked cockroaches swimming in your teriyaki sauce! This place has been shutdown once again and it makes me sick to my stomach knowing they get shut down almost every time they are visited by a health inspector. If you look at other Unilocal reviews, you will learn that customers have seen visible cockroaches on tables and the floors. This place truly upsets me because how can you not care about the HEALTH of your customers that pay your bills? What kind of integrity as business owners do these people have? Shut down last time because they had a cockroach NEST in the ice and dish washing machine!?! Come on. Save yourself and your children. That little crunchy piece of chicken probably wasn’t chicken at all. They are currently closed AGAIN. Code red. Insect and rodent infestation.

I have a love and hate relationship with Teriyaki to Go. Honestly it is a quick place for state workers and on people on jury duty to go to. Those folks working in this restaurant are running around crazy trying to pump out the orders, and for that they have my respect. But on the flip side I swear something always happens when I come here. So this is a teriyaki spot but I come for the Korean food. They have a separate Korean menu which I order off of. Overall everything I have tried was good but some days they are out of kimchi(How is this possible is you serve kimchi soup and Korean food?). And the other day my co-worker and I got the Soondubu soup with seafood; when we returned to the office the lid had melted, soup every where and the mussel/clam shells were broken. So basically I could have choked on the lid pieces or the seafood shells? UGH!!! Basically a quick place to go, but will never be my go-to spot for lunch.

I tried the regular bimbimbap. The pickled vegetables were good but the egg was not runny. The meat was solidly average. Will need to try the soup, bulgogi and the stone cooked bimbimbap next time.

Ok, so this little dirty place is pretty awesome. Teriyaki bowls are nothing special to me but every so often when I do crave it, I go somewhere and be all disappointed always thinking to myself, «why the hell do I crave for teriyaki bowls when I don’t even like it?» Well this place is different from all those disappointing places I’ve ever gone to. The prices are fair and there’s plenty of flavor to every bite. It also tastes just as good the next day.

Okay, so it’s not the cleanest place on the block, but I would be crazy enough to consider visiting again! Freshly made food at a convenient location for reasonable prices. I had more vegetables than meat in my last order, but that’s fine with me. Now, I’m curious about the Korean menu.

Good food and quick service. I ordered the tofu rice bowl and is was yummy. The place itself could use more seating on the inside.

Here for lunch. The service was quite slow. I’m pretty sure I got food poisoning from eating here — only ordered the teriyaki beef noodle bowl. Sure, you get a lot of food for your dollar, but if you get sick, it was all for naught.

Popped in today for a quick lunch and became a fan of this place. Ordered 2 Bibimbaps to go($ 9 each) and they had it ready for us within minutes. Everything was very fresh, tasty and seemed homemade. They were friendly as well; more than happy to give me some extra kochujang(sweet chili paste) at my request. My mother is Korean and I’ve eaten quite a bit of good Korean food over my life. This place is doing it right. I’ll definitely be back for more.

Been here a few times for lunch. Really good, but sometimes their tofu has a weird aftertaste. I have ordered the bibimbap before too and it was great! A bit of a hit or miss with me whenever I do go.

Don’t have a whole lot of time to wait for good food? Is your wallet saying it’s not quite payday yet? Then this place is for you. Super filling food, that is made to order, and is prepared with an open kitchen! I find that hard to find now a says especially when the food is cheap and delicious like this place offers you. I got the Chicken Noodle bowl and you can take it to go which is even more clutch because most of us never have time to actually sit down and enjoy a lunch now-a-days. Has all the same bells and whistles as any other chicken noodle bowl but at least the cabbage and broccoli didn’t taste frozen or stale even after it is cooked and slathered with Teriyaki sauce.

Now with authentic Korean food! I lived in Korea for over 20 years, so I was glad to see the Korean additions. I have tried every one of them and can say from experience that they are authentic, and very tasty. The Kims are Korean, so they know how to cook Korean food. I generally get it to go so I can take it home and make two meals out of it.

The only place I eat Teriyaki chicken and rice. Hands down the best place to eat chicken and rice in Sacramento! They also have bento box options and noodle bowls but my all time favorite is the Teriyaki Rice Bowl. I’ve been eating here for the past six plus years and it is the best. Some people might say it looks a little disorganized, dirty or a little shady but I say that’s ok cause the food is yumm! Give it a try at least once and then make your own decision. The owner makes the sauce everyday and all the veggies are fresh partly because there is so much business! They also have been rated by SacMag as being the best in Sacramento for teriyaki. This place was our second choice as the place around the corner was closed for the 4th. Still, I was satisfied and don’t regret going. The store was about to closing but the man working the restaurant was quick to take our orders, cook it right there and set it out for us. The menu was clear(pricing especially! thanks and… stingy much? ;P) and there were enough options but not too many so as to overwhelm. And prices were really manageable. My one critique(I ordered a tofu teriyaki bowl) was how sweet the sauce was. Almost sickly, but not quite. And it could just be me — it’s been a while since I’ve had a teriyaki bowl, or teriyaki period, so… still, too sweet for me, but I enjoyed it for what it was worth and didn’t have a sugar crash later :)
