Señorita bread for the win, it’s like a warm dinner roll with doughnut like frosting. Expect a little bit of a line as there is only one cashier who also assembles your order.

Sparsely decorated indoors. No inside seating. Not many options behind the glass case. 5 piece minimum to purchase señorita bread; 5 for $ 2. That Señorita bread though. Rumored to be 300 calories per piece, the piece being about the size of your finger, it’s a yeast dough that is incredibly soft and buttery. Very similar to Puerto Rican Mallorca dough, also brought by the Spanish. Better eaten warm, when the sugar on the bottom is still crunchy and has caramelized. Hotdog and cheese $ 2 | Had a hotdog and cheese wrapped in the same bread, unsweetened. Big pieces, good snack, but it’s hella salty.

Amazing señorita bread. Delicious, addicting YOUMUSTTRYTHISBREADIFYOUNEVERHAVEBEFORE. It comes in a box order of 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 50, 60. So 15 is the minimum and its only $ 6.00 for that box. Its very cheap. 40 Cents a piece of bread. Very fast service and it comes very hot and ready! I need to stay away because it is so good that I would eat myself into a food coma.

Does anyone know how to do the ene symbol? Anyway, I’m sure there are other things here other than señorita bread. I’ve never had them. State workers unilaterally decided every potluck must have señorita bread. When it’s warm? Good gawd. Señorita bread reminds you not all combinations of sugar, butter, and flour are created equal. Also not diet. Out.

I’m deep in my 10th señorita bread and I realized, I really need to update this review! I stand by what I said in the previous review but today I found another favorite, a must have, a must eat or whatever you call it at Starbread: the leche flan($ 7)! To those who are not familiar with flans, these are delicacies similar to custard but are a lot more spongy. It also has a dark caramel sauce in the bottom, sort of sweet and and sort of bitter. Flavors are balanced. Texture is soft and creamy. Taste is super rich and mildly sweet! I didn’t expect to love this so much but after the first bite, I was sold. I like to scrape just a little bit on my spoon and savor the tiny bite. Also, the size is enough to share, especially since most of us usually come to Starbread to get a load of señorita breads too. Sharing is caring. Yep, I’m a fan. I will definitely have my every other month craving and crawl back for more.

Fair warning: These little, delectable, sugary, buttery pieces of bread are VERY addicting! You won’t be able to have just one! First time coming to this location. Took a while to find since I’m new to the area. The place is definitely a hole in the wall type of place. Service was friendly. I wanted 8 pieces of the seniorita bread. Read in previous reviews that that also sold Nutella filled bread so I wanted two of those as well. The woman who took my order explained to me that ordering the seniorita bread had to me in increments of 5 and that the Nutella bread came in a bag. So I left with 10 pieces of seniorita bread and a bag(filled with 3 pieces) of Nutella filled bread. The first piece that I put into my mouth was so tasty! Definitely tried to have self control and only eat one piece(didn’t work.)! Ended up eating about four pieces. Minus one star for the size of the bread not being the same. Got two pieces(that were put on the bottom of all the other bread) that looked like they were just the ends of the loaf and they just cut it to turn it into another«piece».

The señorita bread is amazing but don’t have it unless you plan on getting hooked. Some of my friends call it pastry crack. There are a few other items they make that are just as delicious. They don’t have a large selection as they are a very small store. They have different items at different times of the day as well as different items completely on the weekends. The main items we buy are señorita bread, ham and cheese pockets and Ubay(not sure of the spelling). They are a small flaky pastry filled with sweet purple yam. All items we have tried are yummy. When there is a line the wait can be a little long since they hand pack the order right when you purchase. I wish I could watch them do this it probably would make me feel better about waiting if they didn’t go behind the wall to pack my order. I still keep coming though.

As some of my Unilocalers knew and recall earlier that this place is getting addictive in here for this well known signature item, and I just can’t get enough about it! Starbread is the name which this Filipino bakery delivers some fresh, baked goodness right out through their oven especially their famous best seller hit which Justin Timberlake sang that song years ago; it’s called, the Señorita bread! When I entered their doors, the atmosphere is very warming and elegant here. The concept is much laid back feel with the cultures of the Philippines and teal background too. The owner and their bakers are doing an excellent job for making the customers like me a welcoming atmosphere. No cons at all! For two visits in a row so far, I decided to order the Señorita bread for 5 pieces in one small bag(cost $ 2 each). So far as I take my first bite, my mouth is beginning to explode right through my mouth for the first time, and it’s superbly tasty and addictive! The bread as I mentioned earlier is very fresh and eatable to eat. The ingredients are outstanding as I can feel the buttery, flaky glazed taste. Simply the best bread that I’ve ever eaten for a long time back in my childhood days! There’s plenty of parking spots available, so you can park anywhere you want near or far. In the end, Starbread is the coolest, and the best Asian bakery ever made right in the Natomas neighborhood! Perfect for snack breaks on the go for addictive customers just in case for ordering a pack of Señorita breads for the whole family or friends! Try it, and you won’t regret it! My rating: 5 solid stars!

The devil lives here!!! When l walk in and smell the fresh Señorita Bread, I instantly start salivating. Señorita Bread is white bread rolled up with butter and sugar inside then drizzled with honey AND so darn good. They are also many different Filipino goods from empanadas to chicharones to garlic roasted peanuts. The employees are always very happy and helpful. All major credit cards are accepted as well as good old cash. Parking is very limited and can be tough but worth the wait. I recommend the Señorita Bread and the empanadas(choice ofpork, chicken, and veg)

Ordered 20 original señorita for ~$ 8. This place is pretty good. It’s almost like a donut… think of it as bread with butter and sugar. lol It lives up to the hype. They have fresh señorita as you order it. We also saw in the front that they had different flavors(nutella, guava, mango etc) too, so we got the guava. I think it might may be a bit more expensive than the regular señorita breads. The ones at the front isn’t as fresh and warm. There’s a good amount of filling in the guava filled señorita. It was just okay but if it was fresh and warm, it would’ve been potentially a lot better tasting. lol

Warning: Señorita bread could be addicting! Hmm, how often must I come back to this place for me to write a review! Señorita bread are their signature breads here that sell like hot cakes(only the señorita breads are better than hot cakes)! These fluffy and delicious pillows are rolled up, deliciously light, soft, buttery warm and sweet and it’s hard to eat just one… just like potato chips! They are baked fresh daily and are best consumed while freshly baked right out of the oven. I’m not saying to eat them immediately but they do get stale and hard after long exposure to just sitting out. I’m sure, though, that once you’ve had a bite of these señorita breads it won’t stand a chance of sitting out. Although these señorita breads are their best seller, the bakery does offer other pastries and snacks. This is a Filipino bakery after all and we love our sweets! They also have hopias and empanadas, and other snacks that I’ve seen. The bakery has no seating inside and is not very big. The breads are very cheap… if you have $ 8 that will make you happy with 20 pieces. There is a minimum of 5 pieces for $ 2 if you just want a sampling. Having a potluck? Get the 60 pieces for only $ 24. Guaranteed hit! Wish they would expand to the Placer County side too… and if you find it In your heart to want to share, please do share the love, they’ll thank you for it!

Two words: SENORITABREAD! If you haven’t already, YOUMUSTTRYTHIS!!! I usually buy a box of 50… yes, 50, and by the end of the day they are gone! It’s so cheap too(Five rolls go for only $ 2.00 so you do the math!!). They are so warm and fluffy with a sweet filling inside(not cream but some type of sugar and butter mixture – not 100% sure). They are on the smaller side so expect to eat about ten at a time! hehe :) During weekends they sell bitso-bitso– similar to doughnuts or malasadas – filled with your choice of chocolate cream, cream cheese, nutella, strawberry jam, pineapples, mango, or apples. They also offer lumpia(Filipino eggrolls), chicken empanadas, and siopao – steamed buns filled with seasoned pork. They also sell rolls filled with ham and cheese which are pretty decent tasting as well – similar to the ham and cheese croissant from La Bou. The owners are extremely friendly as well which makes it well worth the drive! My friend works at the Woodland Costco where they buy all their supplies and they usually give him a discount every time he comes in or even brings him a complimentary box of Señorita bread! So sweet! Overall, the Señorita Bread is a MUSTTRY in my book! It tastes best when fresh(DUH) but is also good for a few days after if you heat it up in the microwave!

We have been here before, but always late in the evening so most of the baked goods were usually gone. On Saturday, we stopped by in the afternoon during our errands and there was a good amount of selection still left! We got a pork empanada, hot dog cheese roll, a yellow bean pastry, and a turon. Everything we picked was good, but OMG the pork empanada was delicious! It was soft and flaky and had a lot of filling. We contemplated going back just to get more empanadas! The señorita bread is also as delicious and addicting as all the reviews say on Unilocal. We have tried the normal señorita bread, but they have flavored ones too! Try the Nutella one! You won’t regret it! The staff is very friendly and will give you a hot, fresh box of señorita bread even if they are almost closing! I am happy they opened in Natomas since there are not really any bakeries in the area. They have a great variety of delicious baked goods and inexpensive!

Who doesn’t love soft, sweet, and hot out of the oven delicious goodness(señorita bread)! I came for 40 pieces to bring to a work potluck. When I arrived, the lady in the front said she would have some fresh hot ones in a few minutes. After about 5 minutes, they were boxes and ready. I snuck 2 – 3 pieces in my mouth on the ride home :) they are so good, you will not be able to resist. Staff are very friendly as well. Oh, and their ham and cheese roll is also a «must try».
