OK, I’m past due on my review. But I did eat here a few times and ordered their vegetable tempura and rice. The food was fresh tasting and the tempura nice and crispy, although a bit greasy. But this is how it is at most restaurants. So I’m not complaining. The restaurant was cozy, clean, and the service prompt. If you ate in, you could watch the large flat screen TV or just watch the traffic come and go along Stockton Blvd. Sorry to see that this eatery has recently folded. It seemed like this strip mall location is not the best for drawing the attention of passers by who spend most of their time racing down the street or getting stuck in traffic, depending on the time of day! Now it appears that a new restaurant will be taking its place. I hope it has better luck! I don’t like to see businesses die! Just a sad reminder that our economy is still failing!

Exactly what you want for a quick bite of teriyaki to go or dine in! Reminds me of a place called«house of teriyaki» outside of Fort Lewis, WA. Thick, sweet, sauce dripping over fresh grilled chicken, pork, or beef. Nestled nicely on a hefty bed of rice, it even comes with a little salad like mess on the side to make you feel that much better for having cleared your plate. Five stars for cleanliness, cheap prices, great food, and nice and friendly staff. This is the best teriyaki place in the area!

Taste of teriyaki should not come from the sauce, but the meat itself. The sauce should applied before the grilling, and this place does it just right. I never tried their deep fried food, because the original Japanese teriyaki do not have deep fried because«yaki» means grill not fried in Japanese. Also, their rice taste just like the Japanese rice do, not Chinese or Thai.

I ordered a sesame chicken and tempura combo. It’s pretty terrible and I paid almost $ 10 for some icky food. Unfortunately, I didn’t read these reviews until after I purchased my food. Ivy’s review of the sesame chicken reflects my experience and the tempura wasn’t good either..

Visiting this place broke my heart. It was nicely adorned and clean, and the prices were low, while the portions were large – my wife and I shared a calamari/beef plate that filled us both up for well south of 10 dollars. The food was pretty alright, but nothing sensational. What really got to me was that their front door had plywood on it and there was an empty flat screen TV mount with a TV cable that had been cut/ripped out. I’m not the bleeding heart type, but this is just a small business doing its thing and trying to survive, and its sickening to see how people would be willing to hurt them like that. I really don’t know why it affected me so much, but it really did. It makes me want to go back to support them, but frankly, there are much better teriyaki places out there.

So when I think of Teriyaki I think of chicken pieces in a brown yummy, drippy, gooopy, sticky sauce that you can combine with the rice in a sickening cadence of sauce and rice and chicken. I am not even sure how to describe how bad the food was here. I ordered the Sesame Chicken. I was also expecting some type of yummy sesame sauce that I can mix in with my rice and chicken. How about dry chicken with a hard crust that only contained the goodness of tasting deep fried. With a sprinkling of sesame seeds thrown on top. My friend ordered the Teriyaki. There was not a drip of sauce on the rice that was under the chicken. We were so confused. They also serve sushi here. NOWAY! would I eat sushi here. I couldn’t even see where they would have made it at in the kitchen. Just Ewww.

We decided to try this place out as it just recently opened. The décor is very simple and clean. They do have a flat screen t.v. in one corner. I ordered a combination plate with tempura and beef teriyaki. My dining companion ordered just the beef teriyaki. It seemed to take a little long to get our food but that wasn’t a big deal. It was a pleasant surprise when our dinners came out on a ceramic plate and with large quantity. My tempura was a little heavy on the batter but tasty. Our beef teriyaki was a little dry but flavorful. The dinner plates range from $ 5.39-$ 8.99 and come with a side vegetable and salad. They offer a small variety of sushi rolls as well as gyoza and kim-chee. The workers were really friendly and the price wasn’t bad but I won’t be running back any time soon.

This just opened last Thursday and my coworkers and I came here for lunch today. The price was fair and the food was. okish. lols. The portion is actually pretty good considering a plate runs for about 6 bucks. I ate half the plate and packed the other to bring home. I ordered the spicy chicken and teriyaki chicken. The spicy chicken was fair but the teriyaki chicken was pretty decent. The interior of the restaurant was very simple. It’s kind of like those quick pick up places. I don’t really care to come back to this place.
