Eek!!! This place needs a good scrub down and deep cleaning. Servers were not friendly either. But let’s talk about the food. We were here for a banquet. I think we had seven or eight courses. I only really enjoyed one or two of the offerings. I would not return.

Well, tried it again and the prices went up even higher and same tiny portions! $ 69 for 5 dishes! Are you kidding! I think they know they are close to being the only true Chinese place in Sacramento so they raised the prices. I think I’d rather drive to SF cause the prices is way cheaper than this place and portions are way bigger!

This is a very good Chinese restaurant. The food is always freshly made and they include a good bowl of bean soup desert that is always a surprise and nice finish to the meal.

I used to love this place. I grew up in the neighborhood and this was our constant«go to» Chinese restaurant. I have since moved out of the neighborhood, but was visiting and decided to order one of my favorite dishes to-go. I’m not sure if it was just a one time deal or if it is their new«standard,» but their portions have drastically decreased. I ordered the Salt-baked Squid and as soon I picked it up, I knew something was off. The to-go box felt like it was empty, so I even had my sister check to make sure that it was the correct dish. Sure enough it was. I figured I would still give them a shot, after all, this was my childhood spot. When we got home, the food was even more disappointing. Soggy, not crispy. Flavorless. Overcooked. Rubbery. And to top it off, after eating just 5 pieces, I could see the bottom of the to-go box. It was almost like we received a half-order, instead of our full order. For the dish being $ 11, it was definitely a let down. I’m still craving the dish, but may have to go elsewhere to get my fix!

Can you literally beat the price of $ 28.00 for 5 meals? I am talking about huge portions fit for a family of 5 or more. My boyfriend and I always come here to indulge on authentic Chinese food. We literally drive here from Elk Grove to satisfy our cravings. We always order the $ 28 and we don’t ever finish it, and always take home the leftovers. It consists of fish, meat, soup, chicken, and more. There are other items on the menu that you can order, but we like the $ 28 food, so we just always order it. We come here so often that the servers knows who we are and usually know our orders. The service is okay, parking is okay, and food is pretty good. The food is not as oily as other Chinese restaurants, so we frequent here. The best part is the tea, I freaking love it. But, yeah pretty awesome, hidden in the gem kind of place!

One of our favorite restaurants in Sacramento! The deep fried flounder which is part of the $ 28 family set is life-changing!!!(I dream about it sometimes) Everything here is authentic and delicious! Their $ 28 family set(4 dishes + soup + fruits) is the BEST deal ever, with the discounts they offer during lunch(10%) or dinner(20%), it is unbeatable even in Shanghai, HK, Taipei, or Beijing! The place has minimal decorations, service is improving(the waiters have warmed up to us since we come monthly), but we come here because the food is so amazing!!! The standard family set prices/discounts go away during holidays, we learned it the hard way on one Father’s Day.

This place fluctuates between 2 and 3 stars when I visit, so the average speaks volumes. The food is always decent to good, but never great. My wife enjoys the salted fish and chicken fried rice, which is why I come here periodically. I try something different each time in hopes of finding something that is delicious, but when I do, I order it again the next time and it is never as good. I would say consistency is an issue. I enjoy the duck rice noodles(watch out for bones) and the chow fun(but this is super inconsistent). I didn’t care for their Hot and Sour soup, which is one of my favorites at other restaurants. It is heavy on the sour for my taste. I’m sure there are better places, but this one is just down the street from where I live and it is open late which is a plus. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here, but if you live in the immediate area, it’s probably the best we have.

Been here a few times. It’s alright. I can’t distinguish it from any other Chinese place I’ve gone to and the prices are the same as well. Like the Thai place it’ll do if you absolutely need Chinese food in the area. Then again there’s also that place by Bel Air but I haven’t tried that one. Phở Bac would probably be a better choice. Bigger menu and cheaper prices plus they got that customer service going on.

Pass by all the time, I decided to bring my boys to dine here after school one day. Rude service from the moment we walked in. The greeter raised his voice and waved us to a table. Than moved us to another table. No other customers at 3pm, but service was slow. Although we were watching the tv show on their tv while waiting for our food, The man/greeter shut it off, looked annoyed. We ate, I paid and as we left not even a «thank you, come again.» We ordered Hot and Sour soup, Sweet and Sour pork and fried rice. The food was good, but I’ve had better. If the customer service was friendlier I would recommend this place and return, but I’m sorry to say I can’t recommend this place and I won’t be returning.

I was super excited to try this place because it’s always packed! I thought it must’ve been good. So my boyfriend and I went last night. The food here is amazing. We got beef chow mien, chicken fried rice, sweet and sour shrimp, and Kung poa chicken. They give you HUGE portions and free tea and soup. It was definitely worth the money, but the service here sucks. They are always busy with huge parties so the kitchen takes forever to get your food done. And the waiters are rude and trying to do too many things at once. We will come back for sure, but we’re ordering to go next time. The food is amazing, but the service here ruins it.

Been going here for years. Best bets: wor wonton soup; salt and pepper asparagus with shrimp; Chinese broccoli with garlic sauce(not oyster sauce); and house special fried rice. This joint is really good for a non-Chinatown restaurant. Service is, well, let’s just say I have experienced much worse.

My family and I been eating at this restaurant for over 15 years +. The place used to be Jumbo Seafood or something on Freeport but the moved to Greenhaven as Regent. We always loved their food because it was authentic, affordable, and delicious. However, last night we were extremely disappointed in their food quality. We ordered 2 soups: sizzling rice soup and crab meat fish maw soup, flat fried fish(forgot the name), salted fish fried rice, pork ribs baked in salt, honey walnut shrimps, and ½ roast duck. The soup was a bit bland… We had to add salt/soy sauce for the extra flavor. The pork ribs on the other hand was salty as hell. They should’ve used some the salt from the ribs to season their soup. The honey walnut shrimps was cold and looked old. The fried fish was still good, but there were barely any sauce. The fried rice was salty also. And roast duck was good, but I didn’t like it. Their food quality has went down the drain over the years. The service here has always been shiitty. Slow service, bad attitude servers, and constant ask for water refills. We didn’t mind their shitty service cause we loved their food; however, after last night I don’t think we will be coming back again after 15 years of support.

I normally don’t do reviews, but I was so excited to eat here but didn’t get to eat at all! We came in a party of 6, not busy time(only a quarter of tables were taken) at around 6:30. We only received 3⁄6 waters, and 2⁄6 menus. Nonetheless, the food sounded good so we were hopeful. We tried to get a booster seat for my son, none had buckles, so we asked for a high chair and none had buckles or belts of any kind to keep him safe. After 30 minutes of sitting at our table, no one would give us food or drinks or even speak to us. A waiter and a waitress walked by us 7 times, with us trying to talk to them and making direct eye contact. Nothing. We finally left and our neighboring tables told us they were hardly served as well and shocked at the service. Two tables received a lot of attention while we were there, two families, but the rest of the tables got ignored. We went to the Izakaya afterward and were served quickly and had a great time!!!

I was hoping for better. Service was slow and it seemed like he was almost irritated that I was there. The hot and sour soup was good, nice sour bite. The lunch special kung pao and sweet and sour was just OK, some grisly chicken bits and the sauce was syrupy glop on the pork. Not one chinese pepper in my kung pao, I got 2 slices of jalapeño instead, what self-respecting chinese restaurant substitutes jalapeño for those fiery little red rocket peppers? I work nearby and was hoping this might be a regular stop. Nope. I won’t be back since there are better places in the area.

I ate here like 3 years ago and was very satisfied. Decided to try it again for my brothers birthday. First off the service is horrible but i didnt expect much from a chinee restaurant i came here for the food! I ordered the family meal that can feed 4 – 6 people. We substituted 2 of the dishes with walnut shrimp and honey garlic spareribs.(They charged us 7.50 $ for each plate). The salt and pepper shrimp and the walnut shrimp were very bland. It lacked the salt and pepper… The lobster they brought out in the end also lacked flavor. The best dish was the fish maw soup. The price was reasonable though. $ 70 fed my whole table of 6…

If you go to any authentic Chinese restaurant, the service is bad regardless. Its just how it is. trust me, I’m American born Chinese and I have been to a handful of them my entire life. Bad service is expected and that’s just what you’ll get. BUTTHEFOODISAMAZING… That’s IF you know how to order. The sizzling hot plates are super authentic. they bring out the stir fry choices on a plate and dump it on the hot plate in front of you. watch it sizzle sizzle! I like the black pepper beef choice. comes with sautéed onions and peppery gravy which compliments white rice. Mmm! Another choice I like is the string bean dish stir fried with minced pork. This one is a bit spicy but the string beans are super sweet and tender and goes well with the clumps of pork. authentic Chinese dish! The seafood here is pretty good too. We always get an order of the lobster yi mein. its a soft and chewy kind of egg noodle made from wheat flour and compliments the stir fry lobster chunks and ginger/scallion gravy. Also, we get the salt and pepper shrimp. Each shrimp is lightly battered and fried to perfection. leaving it so crispy, spicy and a dash of saltiness.

I came here several times in the past to take advantage of the 20% off after 8:30pm special. Recently came here again because we were in the area. Each of us picked one dish to share. One of my favorite dishes is the deep fried shrimp and asparagus. It was a hit with the others at the table too. The wonton soup was bland. The beef chow fun had an over abundant amount of bean sprouts. Overall the food was ok, but the portions were on the smaller side.

I was in the mood to sit down for lunch this afternoon and I’ve passed this restaraunt many times but never stopped so may hads well check it out… Came in about 1245pm and was greeted immediately by… no one… I could see what looked like the manager looking around and 1 waitress but no one acknowledged me or even made eye contact tho I wasn’t hiding from them. I finally said hello after to the guy walking by after a good 60seconds of just standing there ignored. The gentleman now faces me staring blankly without saying word to me. So I said«hello» again. waiting for him to greet me etc. but nothing but the blank stare. so I said«just 1 today». at which point he pointed at a table and said you can sit here. and walked away. Skipping ahead now, I ordered the Lunch Special #4 which includes 2 pieces of foil wrapped chicken, pork chow mein, sweet and sour pork, almond chicken, hot and sour soup, hot tea, and a fortune cookie — all for $ 6.90 … I call that a great value, and the portion size is huge; no complaints there. There were 5 lunch specials to choose from for 6.90 each. As for quality… not as good as say Panda Express. I would rate the food as «Tolerable». Probably on par with or just below Chinese food from supermarket deli(not comparable to nugget tho). Its cheap but in the case of the lunch special I think it’s priced appropriately given the variety and portion size. As for service, I’ve been here little over 30min now and have been out of water for about 15min and no one bothered to fill the glass or even ask if I needed anything. They did manage to drop off a completely illegible bill tho. If able, I’ll include a pic of the bill. I don’t think it’s in English. Overall: 2 stars. I will not be back here again nor will I recommend it to anyone that I like. They did earn that extra star just for the value of price VS portion size/variety but I have only looked at the lunch menu. Service is laughable and I will not be leaving a tip. At this point someone finally asked if I needed a box, which I took as my Rottweilers will love the leftovers, and after asking for more water they were kind enough to refill my glass without a fight.

Ugh. Tired of this place. Went for family lunch on the day before fathers day. Lunch is 20% off from 11 – 2 everyday, except they decided it wasnt today simce tomorrow is fathers day. No notice or anything until the bill came. Thats right, excluded even though tomorrow is the holiday, but dont sweat the details. Went again for fathers day, because my dad didnt want to go far and when we ordered from the family dinner page in the menu, they told us that we couldnt have that today because its fathers day, so we were limited to the«special» fathers day menu with less and inferior food for the same price. Again, not noted anywhere. Probably the last time we come here. The food is ok but there is better on freeport at cheaper prices and no BS.
