I guess I stayed in one of the upgraded rooms. For ~$ 60 a night it was pretty damn good. Continental breakfast wasn’t bad either. I was hungry and better than the McDonalds near by. My room was very clean. The bed was actually pretty comfy and had a ton of fluffy pillows. Only thing that sucked was that the location was far from everything. If you just need a room for a night or two then this place is pretty decent.

This place is nothing special, but, I got the cheap rate from for a one nights stay. The people at the front desk were nice, but, for the rate I can’t really complain. It seemed clean, but its an old place. The things I would complain about is the air conditioner/heater stinks when air is released. the vending machine outside my door was empty, so I couldn’t get water, and I wasn’t going to drink the tap water. I tried, but had to spit it out –tasted of way too many minerals.

1 star ONLY for the location and it coulda been worse, but we will NEVER come here again. drove into sac for an overnight trip, got here late, around 11:30pm, front desk guy was very nice. got to the room, with 2 kids in tow, and my 5 year old says eweeeee theres a spider on the toilet! i WISH it was only a spider… the bf goes to look and says«OKWE’REOUTTEHERE!»…ya it wasnt a spider, it was a roach!!! YUCK! BF went to the front desk and told him and the guy just asked if we needed a room change… uh, no buddy we need a refund and we are outtie! Drove 15 min out the way back to Elk Grove to stay at the Holiday Inn Express on Elk Grove Blvd which has always been super clean and big rooms!

I should start by saying that I’ve stayed at much more expensive hotels that were in worse shape. This is a $ 60 per night hotel and reflects its price. If you have zero expectations about cleanliness, comfort, or amenities, this would be about three and a half stars. The front desk people were extremely pleasant and accommodating, and I can’t ever complain too much about a Belgian waffle maker for breakfast. The coffee was even somewhat decent! The room itself is not bad, particularly for a dump of a hotel in a dump of an area. The lighting was decent, the bed comfortable, and the room was relatively quiet(on the parking lot side). Where they lose a star is for cleanliness, though. The rug was clearly disgusting(I found someone’s toenail clipping on the floor!!) and the black-out curtains had nasty stains on them. Also, NONE of the sockets held a plug! For whatever reason, the electrical sockets were all so loose that no plug would stay in. Not only did this make keeping my computer plugged in difficult and charging my phone difficult, but it also caused the alarm clock to become unplugged any time you moved it slightly. Very strange. Overall, I’ve stayed at MUCH worse hotels, but next time I’m in the area I’ll go back to La Quinta.

Fine for an overnight, pre-flight, pre doc appt. but that would be all. They gave me a room on the freeway entrance side. There is a false room with windows running the length/back of the building, obviously for sound insulation. I tell you that side is a women’s worst nightmare waiting to happen. I have stayed at MANY hotels/motels and this did not feel safe. An old motel, with decent attempts to update, but you can’t get away from the fact that is is still old, as are most of the motels in this area.

Booooring. But clean. A safe place to bed down for the night. Stairs needs serious service work(concrete steps tilt) and the spa was not working. Breakfast is serviceable but I eat better at home. This is not a place to stay in more than one night!
