Papa Murphy’s Take ‘n’ Bake Pizza

Today I got a large half pepperoni and half Hawaiian pizza with a coupon for $ 8! It was done within 15 minutes of ordering and really tasty! I hadn’t had Papa Murphy’s in a really long time and I’m glad I gave it another shot. Yum, well worth it and a great price.

I don’t understand it. I read the reviews here and thought they had to be wrong, but after our pizzas we got last night, all these bad reviews are confirmed. I figured a place like this would have universal standards followed by all, but apparently not.
My husband mistakenly ordered mine without specifying the crust type and I ended up with the paper thin Delite crust. The problem with that one was the crust was stuck to the baking tray and so thin it just fell apart. It was a huge mess.
My husband got the stuffed pizza, which he’ll usually eat for days. He ate one piece and said it was disgusting. He threw it out. We threw away the vast majority of $ 28 worth of pizza. The only positives about this location were that the store appeared clean and the girls working were pleasant.
HUGE disappointment. We will not make the mistake of going to this location again. We usually go to the one on Watt and they are great.

Customer Service is poor. I purchased a salad which had a bad taste so within 2 hours I called about it. Was told I need to talk the owner who was not in. Next day I took this $ 7 salad back. The employee kept it, but said need to talk with owner which I planned to. Called the next morning advised call back the next day as owner will be in by 10am. Instead, I went there at about 1pm and he was in. I tried to explain, but he talked over me saying impossible as they make them daily. Said he would do this one, but will never again allow the return of a salad which is why I am posting this. This is a 1^st as most establishments will offer to replace the item. I did not go in and ask for my $ 7 back and it’s the principal. In fact, I gave the replacement salad away. Isn’t the customer always right. Just want all of you to be aware. And there is no return or refund policy post.

Tasty cheap pizza. Who doesn’t love that? Very clean inside, nice and helpful employees.

Papa Murphy’s in general is one of the best pizza chains out there. Everything about them has been consistent… until I went to this location. The one star is given to THIS location alone. I have been to this location multiple times and have gotten a different (bad) experience every time. The absolute last time I gave this location my business was when I they refused to sell a medium pizza. I was informed that that size was «No longer available». I’ve given feedback to corporate offices and have ever since traveled further distance to another store. I would rather give my business to an owner that wants it than a store that could care less.

first of all the staff here is awesome. very nice and friendly. they have never gotten an order wrong. very clean. and i have never had to wait when i call in and it never takes more than a couple minutes to complete my order when i dont call in.

I love Papa Murphy’s pizza, but after coming in to this one… I must say worst experience ever! I being in a coupon they tell me they will not be able to substitute any Idem for this promotion due to it was a first come first serve bases, which yes I know tough on me I should of came earlier so I still order two pizzas, but the next customer comes in same coupon, and (Amy the Papa Murphy’s employee) says I will be more then happy to substitute a cheese bread.
Duh heck? Why would you substitute something for her but not me?
Wait there is more! She lets me know that I should not worry about because it taste gross.

I love the pizza. But this was my first experience at this location. Everything over all is fine. But the energy and smiles are missing for me. The S. Truxel San Juan location is miles ahead on customer service.
I have been going to the other location about 2 times a month for a year and the guy knows my name. Regardless even when it was my first time in all the staff were exceptionally friendly.
This location is now closer to my new place so I will continue to go. Hope they pick up the energy.
I appreciate customer service and go out of my way to be appreciative so it’s nice to see a smiling face on the other side of the counter when paying for services.

We have been here a million times, but after last nights events we will no longer be returning. We called to order some pizza on our way home from a long day with friends. We had a cranky and exhausted six year old and were late to meet our realtor. I made the call in the car and arrived 15 minutes later. Upon arrival I realized that the blank stare the clerk was giving me after I repeated my name 5 times meant… OH NO, I called the wrong store. I apologized and asked if we could just re order now and would wait because we were already late and didn’t have time to drive back the way we just came. She responded «it depends on how complicated the order was, because they would have to throw this pizza away if they can’t resell it». I absolutely understand that this was one hundred percent my fault and mentioned this several times. However we were still late and still had a cranky kid in tow. This is where some customer service would have been nice. I shared with the server what our order was and she stared at us.
She called someone else over and they discussed for a minute and declared they would need to call the other store. Why? I asked? I am telling you now what the order it. I am sure they have it. My question is can I just make the same order here now? Silence. They both went into the back room and left us standing there for about 5 minutes. Our daughter at this point was almost in tears and my bf was pulling my hand saying let’s just leave. As we turned, they came out and shared that they called the other store and confirmed they do have our order (duh) and we can head over to the other location and pick it up. So, I am still unclear on why you needed to call to confirm that? My boyfriend then asked, is it the same ownership and that is why this is a problem? Which the girl replies yes to and we took off.
Once again, I get it. This was my fault not Papa Murphies. However this is a business. Sometimes customer service comes first and in this case it did not. It’s clear the most important thing here is keeping every dollar in the owners pocket at the expense of a customer that made an honest mistake. I don’t expect a discount or any handouts, I just want a pizza quick. This location wouldn’t do it. We drove all the way over to the other store with a crying kid to pick up the pizzas and vowed never again will we take and bake from this group of stores again.

Place is spotlessly clean, employees always friendly, and the pizza is pretty good. Can’t stand thick crust pizza, so we always get the thin de-​light crust. It won’t fool you into thinking you are eating NY thin pizza, but it’s not a bad crust for take and bake. I use a pizza stone at home… if you don’t have one of these you should get one because it makes for a much better crust. The one made by Emile Henry is one of the best and most durable.
One thing you can count on at every Papa Murphy’s is fresh ingredients… for a chain take and bake place they do a great job at this. I use the online ordering as well which makes it easy… order a pizza in the morning, let them know what time you want to pick it up and it’s ready.

Clean, friendly staff and the prices are good. Plenty of parking and easy to get to location. Pizza is made fresh of course. I would recommend.

The food is great but the service was awful. The manager Amy (black shirt so Im assuming manager) was extremely rude, just awful service. I have gone there multiple times and usually get great service.

This is a very clean, efficient store. The employees are always friendly. And they always have a special going on so you can save a couple bucks. I haven’t tried any of the non-​pizza menu items, but the pizzas are consistently good.

New owners. Love it. Last owner was rude and disrespectful. New owners are nice and courteous. Will defenitly be back often

What an awful experience. I will not return to this specific store/​location.
I was grabbing a pizza for my students to enjoy on last day of school. Went in around 11:35 on a Thursday (my lunch break), I’m the only customer. I was initially greeted and told to wait a minute, then spent the next 8 minutes being ignored. The employee stayed in the back of the store. Should of left then, but wanted a pizza for my students.
8 minutes later he came back and asked me what I want. I thought he was going to help me; silly me. He took my order, then proceeded to tell me I would need to come back in 15 minutes because the other employee would need to ring me up and she was in the bathroom, and it would be 15 minutes. I let him know I could wait, if he could make the order, so it would be ready (all I’m getting is a pepperoni pizza) to be rung when the female employee was finished. After hesitating, seemed like he would, he then said no, she would need to do it after the bathroom, and he then went to the back of the store, leaving me in the front alone, mad and pizza less.
I left and got a take and bake from Raley’s (they give you free toppings). The pizza was delicious an the service outstanding. Sorry store owner, but I am not returning here again. Awful service.

This was my first time visiting a Papa Murphy’s after being slowly let down by another location about 8 – 10 years ago from the huge lack of toppings.
I was craving pizza, so my sister and I came here to grab one for lunch with our family. We ordered the family size Murphy’s Combo.
The service here is really good. I mean, we were there for a total of 3 minutes, but they sure made those 3 minutes enjoyable. I’ve been to other pizza chains there the 3 minutes could turn into hell.
When my sister and I ordered the pizza, they had one ready to go, but we asked if we could come back to get it since we planned to shop at the nearby Safeway first, and they were cool with it. When we came back, there was a different person working, but he somehow knew we were picking up the combo pizza before he even saw what was on the receipt I was holding, and he made sure to let me know of how to properly bake it.
The pizza itself was good! I expected a lack of toppings, but this location was very generous with them, so I really felt like we got our money’s worth. The ingredients were fresh too.
If I’m ever in the mood for some pizza, I’ll be visiting Papa Murphy’s again! It doesn’t hurt that they frequently have coupons either. ;)

Large pepperoni is currently only $ 5. Not sure for how long but I imagine at least the rest of this week and next week. Call in to verify before ordering.

It’s your typical Papa Murphy’s place. They seem to be very friendly here. Clean store. Great customer service! You should always bring a coupon from the mail as it’s way cheaper. Sometimes I think they run specials too, but if you order off the standard menu it’s kinda expensive for DIY pizza.

It’s nice having one of these in the neighborhood. The veggie delite never disappoints, and the location is much less shady than the one further down Truxel. Quick and easy.

The same quality pizza that’s expected from Papa Murphy’s now closer to home.
The pizza was good, the service was wonderful, and they’ve got a special $ 6 for a large pepperoni to celebrate the grand opening (I’m assuming).
Best of luck to them and I hope they manage to survive — restaurants cannot seem to last at this shopping center.
