My fiancé and I came here for dinner. Let me say the customer service SUCKS but the sushi boat #1 was outstanding! If, I was in the area again and craved sushi I would call for take out(it is that serious). I would never come here AGAIN. POOR, POOR customer sevices.

12 of us at a table, all from different parts of the country. They easily accommodated us, graciously splitting up all 12 bills so we can expense them, just a great experience! And the food was delicious!

This is an awesome place. The bartender was very nice and made the drinks wonderfully. The food was priced reasonably. The bathrooms were clean. I would recommend this place.

This place has really good sushi and it’s never so packed that we can’t get in. Happy hour has really great deals.

One of our favorite place to hang out in Natomas. I love the outdoor fireplace in the patio. There is also a tv out in the patio to watch my favorite game. Sit back with your favorite drink and roll and you are all set!

I went here with 4 of my coworkers(5 of us total) on a 1 hour lunch break. Arrived at 11:15AM and it was not busy(4 tables being utilized total with 2 severs working). We were seated at a nice round table and had plenty of space. We had our drink order taken and we received our drinks. About 10 minutes later our food order was taken(server was nice and polite and knowledgeable about sushi). The issue came after the order was placed. About 30 minutes later I finally received my food(just me) it was a bento box(everyone else ordered sushi). My Bento box sat in front of me for a solid 5 minutes until I finally said… Ok I’m going to eat and not let it get cold. I finished at least 50% of my meal before their sushi rolls finally came. All were from their most popular menu, nothing unique or custom or special. Finally we finished our meals and waited… waited…and waited some more. It is now 12:45(1 hr and a half later) we can’t seem to find our server… I think she took her lunch break without telling anyone. Finally we see her at 1pm and she asks if we want a split bill or same check. I don’t usually do split checks but since she took forever and i was angry about how the food showed up, i asked for split checks. The checks were split wrong(everyone had a drink they didn’t order or not the correct sushi roll they ordered etc). Finally took her 15 minutes to close everyone out. Now 1:15pm(2 hours on lunch). Now we had to get back to the office. Luckily I am their manager or I would have written them up for taking a 2 hour lunch… Luckily I witnessed this or I would not believe a restaurant could be so horrible at service. If they were busy I would have understood but it was DEAD! Now onto the food. The Sesame chicken was disgusting. The salad was not good. The sushi was a 7 out of 10. Overall i would not come back. The food doesn’t justify their horrible service.

We decided to come by after the Kings game for a quick sushi fix. The place was busy considering it was 10pm. We ordered some drinks and three sushi rolls. Looking through the roll menu, there were some pretty good combination of ingredients so I was impressed. We got our food and two of the rolls didn’t even match the roll descriptions. We sucked it up and ate it, but was disappointed.

Came in for a quick bite. Left with food poisoning. I knew something was off when the roll I usually order had some weird tasting fake crab garbage. Service was great though. Never again.

I like finding sushi restaurants with unique rolls on their menu. Found a good one here in Sacramento. I like the selection of spicy rolls. I tried the 110 degree, and feel the burn. Delicious.

I came to watch a Kings game because my friend had a gift card. In short, I had a pretty bad experience. It first started with little things and then became big things. I’ll just make a list, check it twice, and remind myself how shitty my Oshima experience was. — Seating was weird: I’m not sure why they would sit a party of 2 at a booth facing the bar that seats 6 but gives a party of 6 the high tables awkwardly placed between the booths and the bar. Not a huge issue, I just don’t get the logic but it’s all good. — I ordered some IPA on draft which ran out during my pour(about a quarter pint of beer and a half pint of head, also known as foam) so the waitress brought it to me and said she’ll bring me the rest when the new keg gets tapped. It was naïve of me to think this but I figured she’d bring me a full pint for– 1. Making me wait and 2. Just to be generous? I mean, it’s a quarter pint. The worst part was my ¾ pint she brought was really ½ pint with ¼ head. I haven’t seen such shitty pours from an actual establishment in a long time. Even if the pour was shit, she could have let it rest for a while and then continued filling. — The sushi was okay. We ordered a chicken katsu bento, edemame, half a dozen oyster shooters, and a sushi platter. Everything was about average in terms of quality. The oyster shooters gave me food poisoning though. I probably wouldn’t go back just because the overall food wasn’t that great for the price. The food poisoning was just the cherry on top. All in all, this place looks nice but isn’t all that. I’d probably take my business to a place that knows how to serve beer and not try to kill their patrons.

Food is becoming less and less appealing here. I’ve been coming here over five years. The food and service was top par, waitress’, sit you down immediately, but now the girls’, barely give eye contact and we had had to seat ourselves hoping it was ok to do so. It’s becoming Not my Fav. My Lobster sushi made me ill and may be time to stop going for a while.

A solid three stars. The server was nice, but the food and drinks were just… basic. All the food meant well, but didn’t really any flavor. The spicy edamame was not spicy at all. The calamari was probably just frozen and deep fried and didn’t have any salt or peppers or onions or anything to go with it with the most basic, watery ponzu I could have imagined. I needed a Bloody Mary and even though it was just V8 and vodka, it did its job. I just don’t have a desire to return.

I’ve never quite felt compelled to write a review about this place because it’s neither amazing nor poor. It’s mediocre. Their happy hour is a little overpriced compared to other sushi places in Sacramento and the food is pretty good. Their bar is very lounge — like which is great for a night out for dinner with the girls. Today though I experienced some pretty bad service from the host desk. The bar was full, a good thing, and I told them I had one more person joining me. There was one lone bar stool at the end of the bar that I gladly took. I asked them if there was another stool that a table wouldn’t mind giving up. Given that there were 8 stools unused scattered amongst the table tops, I figured they would be more than happy to help. Wrong. They told me that I could go find one on my own. Thanks, ladies!

Came in for lunch & had a very pleasant experience overall. I ordered Pepperfin & wakame salad as appetizers then the cinco de mayo & guzzeta rolls. The rolls were okay but what I especially liked from this place was the Pepperfin appetizer. The Serrano pepper topped albacore was fresh & there was the perfect amount of sauce pooled underneath which really contributed to the overall flavor but did not overpower. Between the two rolls I ordered, I liked the guzzeta best. It was a wonderful mix of shrimp tempura & salmon on the inside with hamachi, tuna & avocado on the outside. In terms of service, it was good but nothing to rave about. As far as atmosphere goes, it was a large place with a full bar(lots of stuff on tap) & a big dining area with tv’s. Overall I had a good experience here & would like to come back to explore the rest of the menu.

We tried one of the non-raw sushi rolls last night. It was good! The cucumber inside the roll was fresh and crunchy, the fried shrimp tempura inside it was also scrumptious. The crab meat, perfect mix! The venue is beautiful! The have low tables for families on one side and high boys and booths on the other. There is even a private room with big tables for larger parties, and a vip lounge area for when the lights are turned low. ;) The customer service was amazing on behalf of our server. She was friendly, checked on us a few times, and always had a smile on her face. Bathrooms were nice, too! The fork I was given was dirty. And there was some odd looking cockroach-looking creature crawling along the floor next to our table that was a bit creepy. The server brushed it up to a dust pan and took it outdoors. I was a bit grossed out… so we probably won’t be back.

We’ve eaten here a hand full of times and every time we end up with Shannon in the cocktail bar area. We always sit in a booth and enjoy watching the sports they play over the bar. They usually have at least three different games on(if that’s possible). Every time we try to order different rolls. Tonight we had the«Lazy Salmon» and the«F&M» without black tobiko and with normal seaweed instead of the soy rap. We also have the miso and the sunomono(cucumber) salad. Normally I would snap pics but it looked so good and ended up tasting so good that I totally forgot. The reason I am writing this review isn’t actually because of the food. Shannon our server impresses me every time we eat here. She always is really polite and especially attentive to our needs. She always feels positive and I appreciate that. It’s hard to dine out when you get terrible service or feel like your server would rather be somewhere else(which duh who wants to work) but Shannon never makes us feel that way. Tonight, after we ended up in her section again, and her service far exceeded any other restaurant I’ve eaten at in sac(not just sushi) I felt it was time to post on here and let everyone know how great she is. So thanks Shannon. Your amazing. Your phenomenal service is always what brings us back.

Oshima just rolled out its football menu, which is actually quite delicious. The wings, fries, sliders, Jell-O shots, and salmon wontons are worth stopping in to try. It looks like they also put in a bunch of new tvs, so they now have about 20 throughout the restaurant and bar. I’d definitely recommend getting a side of sweet chili sauce to dip your fries in. So good!

Visited this restaurant for dinner and drinks. Normally I’d order sushi but I wanted to try something a little different so I ordered the Sesame Chicken bento box instead. I was not disappointed and it was good! Our waitress(sorry but her name escapes me) was very nice and attentive. I’ve eaten at two other Oshima Sushi restaurants and would definitely eat at this location when I’m in the area. Good food and atmosphere!

Great sushi place in the Natomas area! Probably the best in Natomas to me! We been here quite a few times and there are some good perks about coming here… — it has a lounge area mixed with the bar area and then a table area more for families or small groups… — plenty of TV’s to watch sports which is important to me! — happy hour prices are awesome! — sushi is fresh and has plenty on the menu… But you can substitute anything which I love because I am not a fish lover! Lastly, you can deep fry any roll which is great! My favorite is the new player roll deep fried!!! Come for the happy hour!!!

My go to favorite in Natomas. Definitely worth a go if you’re in the neighborhood and want excellent sushi. I’ve been here at least 10 times but that was before I started Unilocaling. My favorite is the dynamite roll. What is better than sushi, a spicy sushi roll. Always fresh, tasty, and the heat is turned up just enough to keep me going back until I’ve devoured the entire roll by myself. One time I dropped the last roll on the ground, hey I was using chop sticks and I had to order another plate, no way I was gonna miss one piece like that. Last night Jeremy and I went, I of course ordered the dynamite. Jeremy told me to order another since he was treating me for being such a good little girl. I ordered the Linda. It was okay, not as spicy as I like and the tempura inside was too hard for my liking, but overall the flavor was spectacular. Jeremy ordered the non-sushi chicken roll. He said it was weird eating seaweed with chicken but he like the flavors a lot and would order it again.

The sushi roll was great and so was the service. There was bug on the seats that looked like a roach. Not the most humbling of ambient things to look at when your about to partake on an amazing sushi roll. The fork was completely dirty it was stained almost as if someone had eggs at a sushi restaurant. It was obvious that it was dirty yet pampered through like it was pristine quality. Haven been tried through many sushi rolls, it was not the best, love the the ambience of the place. Would throw a party in this place, because of the layout not the food.
