Really cute restaurant food was good and came out in a timely manner, the waiters were very friendly although they kept coming to our table every min to see if we were ready to order.

This was probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any restaurant. Came here because it had decent reviews, but did not meet my expectations. When we first arrived it took forever to get us a table and there weren’t even that many people there. After going to our table and ordering mediocre sushi, no one even came by to ask if we needed anything or asked how we were doing. Check came, we paid did not say a word to us even when we walked out the door. Sushi was disappointing, but the customer service is just horrible. The only time we spoke to anyone was to order it seemed like. Don’t waste your time coming here!

The food was good. But my waitress was rude and she did not let me finish my order, she kept leaving and not attending to me. It took forever to take my order and I did not feel welcomed

The best sushi bar at Sacramento! I just came to Sacramento for a trip and my friend highly recommended this sushi place saying it’s the must try! And he didn’t disappoint me! Chef is really nice and good, I didn’t know what to order so he served me his special which surprised me a lot! It was not just good looking but really tasty! There are also lots of choice in menu you can always find the best one for you! BTW sashimi highly recommended, really fresh all caught by chef himself at the early morning!

The first time I went, recently, was nice. Prompt service, good food. The rolls were good, affordable, and the ramen and katsu were great as well. But my most recent visit wasn’t as great. The service was so slow, and it was pretty empty… we had to ask for plates and they took a long time to take our order. One major thing I did not like was two of the rolls I ordered had a wasabi sauce on them. I like spicy but I HATE the flavor of wasabi. I think the menu should state that, I couldn’t eat those rolls

I know this not authentic Japanese(Chinese owned), but the prices are great and so is the sushi. The owner goes out of her way to provide a great sushi experience. When my wife was pregnant, she did not want to eat nori(dried seaweed) due to possible side effects associated with such during pregnancy. The owner was happy to accommodate her and not charge extra like several other places have in the area, imagine that. Other places sell less for more, what a concept! In any event, my whole family enjoys this place. The only thing I don’t like is the owner and sushi chefs tend to yell instead of talk to each other. I would like to mention they do have tatami booths! Love them! Just remember to take off your shoes before you sit in one.

Ok, here’s the scoop. while I still stand behind my previous review, I have to say the last few times I’ve been here it was back to the usual quality. When they first opened they were pretty good, and then there was a a brief period In the middle where I feel like they were lacking. The last two or three times I came however, they were back to their old good standards. I’m still a little apprehensive to get the hamachi kama again, as the last time I got it I wasn’t feeling so well after. But what has been really on point has been the sashimi! That’s the most important thing in a sushi bar. The owner still tends to be somewhat abrasive, and she also raises her voice in frustration at some of her employees, but this review really isn’t about her but rather the food. This is not my favorite sushi spot, I only come once in awhile because it is literally around the corner from my house, but I can honestly say I feel they are back to three and a half stars to 4.

The food is great, but hearing the owners screaming at each other in Chinese doesn’t really add to the ambience. There’s a corner booth that’s partitioned off that looks like a cross between a makeshift office, the employee lounge at Costco, and a college dorm room that’s littered with pringles, the daily paper, shoes, etc. 5 stars for the food and the sweet server named Rhianna(sp?) 1 star for always questioning if this is a live/work space.

Seeing that this place only has 3 ½ stars really surprised me, I only came to try this place out because I just moved to the area and it’s less than five minutes from my house. Well turns out, I ABSOLUTELYENJOYEDIT. They are not skimpy at all with their seafood, they are not afraid to season well, and the quality of the seafood tastes very fresh! I was actually surprised. My now signature roll is «The Phoenix Roll» and I add jalapeños inside, when I crave, and I don’t have time to eat in I just call and pick it up. The hype is real! And yes, I’ve eaten at many other sushi restaurants bc I’ve moved all over the west coast, this place is legit. Try the tempura and bluefin toro sashimi too. OMG!

I was having a bad day and I really needed a pick-me-up, safe to say that the entire experience picked me up and made my day a lot better. Food: I ordered the two piece dinner combo($ 14.95) that came with rice, miso soup and a salad. My two choices were salmon teriyaki and a california roll. I was expecting a bento box, but this was not a bento at all. The entire dinner combo was twice the size of a bento. Each part came out separately, which I appreciated, because I really got to focus on each part of the meal at a separate time. The salad was huge, light and tasty. The miso soup lacked tofu, but the broth had the right amount of sodium. I really enjoyed my california roll, I wanted it spicy so they added jalapenos and gave me spicy crab. It was the best california roll I’ve ever had and I didn’t get charged extra for the change. The ratio of rice to fish was great as well. My salmon was average in taste, but I appreciated how large the portion size was. I got to take home an entire filet for leftovers. They gave us complimentary mochi ice cream with little picks, it was definitely the cherry on top to end a great experience. My friend ordered the«child’s plate» for her daughter at $ 6.95 it made me wish I had a child myself. The child’s plate is essentially a regular bento box… so much food. FYI, bring your child if you want a good deal. next time, we’re ordering that for the adults. Service: Overwhelmingly amazing, I never have high expectations at asian resturants, but our server was phenomenal. Rihanna was extremely attentive, patient and friendly. Ambiance: This was key to the experience, we had to take our shoes off in order to sit in the booth. First time doing this and I really appreciated it, it was really comfortable for us. It’s a clean, simple, yet modern restaurant. Very peaceful and the booths allow for a more intimate dining experience. Price: Super affordable, portions are huge and food is delicious. Overall: Definitely a hidden gem in Natomas. I will be back for sure!

Well where do I begin, it is a different world here. They transport you to Japan. You are greeted by a very friendly staff and shown to your little booth. I have never see something like this before. You remove your shoes and sit and eat. The food and yhe drink was superb, but the staff is what set this apart from the rest. It was sooooo AWESOME!!! I am a hard person to please when I go to a restaurant, but they when above and beyond without even being asked. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Tatami rooms! Came here for dinner and we were seated immediately in a traditional Japanese tatami room. The restaurant was not busy at all on a Monday evening. We were a party of four but the room could hold six. These tatami rooms were all around the perimeter of the restaurant while the middle section were tables and chairs. There was also a small sushi bar on one corner of the restaurant and it is located as you enter the doors. Our dining experience was certainly different. The last time I dined in one of these types was in San Jose, where we lived, prior to moving to Roseville. We had a complementary bowl of edamame appetizer to start us off. We placed our orders with our server. I had the beef teriyaki dinner combo and chose the shrimp/veggie tempura with it(there were about 8 others to choose from). It came to me still sizzling. I don’t know but the beef could use a little more taste on the teriyaki sauce. For me, it was a bit bland. The presentation was beautiful, though, with the tempura served on fancy fan shaped wooden holders with doilies. The dinner combos came with Miso soup, salad and rice. The rest of my family ordered the Dragon Roll, teriyaki salmon, chicken teriyaki, and ebi tempura. For dessert we had complimentary mochi ice cream. It was served with four small forks and already pre-cut in fours… it was a teaser. The restaurant is located in the Park Place Shopping Center in Natomas and tucked hidden away in a corner. They’ve been in this location for about three years, we were told. Very clean, spacious, and traditional-looking with the tatami rooms. Our servers were very nice and friendly, it was mostly Riana who tended to us. Plenty of parking in the area.

Okay, tried this place twice recently. I’d been told to not go.,. But tempted fate. Bad doesn’t cover it. The fish is as fresh as the ocean right outside the door. The service was as wonderful as two people having a loud public argument. At least my company was good :-)

Mediocre for the most part. Was flying out of the Sac airport and got to the area early, so decided to get grub at this place. Since I didn’t want to eat by myself, I decided to get the food to go. The lady owner helped me place the order right away which was very nice. However, it did take a very long time for me to get my food. I ordered 2 rolls and 1 sushi combo special. One of the rolls was over loaded with mayo and other sauces, which didn’t taste very good. The other roll was much better but definitely alot more rice than other sushi restaurants. The sushi combo contained several pieces of tuna and salmon, once again alot of rice with a rather small piece of sushi. I can’t speak on the service as I did not dine in. Parking was very easy.

This is a great alternative to Oshima in Natomas. I started by taking some rolls to go a couple times and decided I needed to bring my husband to eat in. I love the little booth that you have to take your shoes off to get into. It reminds me of the sushi places I’ve been to in Miami. A little more traditional setting and plating which I think is a good thing. We orders the oysters and some sashimi. The oysters were okay, we’ve had better, but the sashimi was delicious and huge. My husband ordered the udon and I ordered two roll. The crunchy crab roll was so good I didn’t even bother tasting the other. So far the best roll I’ve had since florida. My husband loved the soup. It was a large portion so he took the rest home. He devoured it in bed. He says it was so good he couldn’t put it down. Service was decent. The young lady did a great job, even giving us some free ice cream to try. The older woman is a little loud and on the verge of being rude but I don’t think that’s the case. Probably just language barrier. Overall a great place to eat in Natomas.

I really appreciate all the details that this sushi spot offers. A couple of examples: 1. The sushi booths that you have to take your shoes off so you can sit cross legged. There is actually a hole so you can let your feet dangle if that’s more comfortable. Not many sushi spots offer traditional seating options. 2. The plates all coordinate and they are real sushi plates with chop stick holders. They’re not just regular small plates that they randomly picked out some where. 3. The presentation of the sushi rolls. They didn’t just plop it on a plate. They added a long banana leaf which enhanced the presentation. The service was really good. They waitress was very attentive and knew when we needed drinks and filled us up right away. What we ordered: 1. Calamari: Not a fan of calamari steak sticks. They’re hearty or whatever but I like the tentacles and little body parts style. 2. The Check-Bord Roll: Had crab and avocado in the middle with tuna and Hamachi on top. It was creamy but lacked texture. I think their should have been shrimp tempura in there and it would make it better. 3. The Flying Dragon Roll: Fried Prawn and crab meat in the middle with tuna on top. This roll was a little on the dry side. I wished they added an avocado in the middle or drizzled some special sauce on it. 4. Spider Roll: This roll had soft shell crab, crab meet, cucumber, and masago in the middle. I typically ask for this roll to be topped with salmon. However, this place could not accommodate my request. They actually gave me other roll options; which was nice, but I know what I want. Since they couldn’t accommodate my request we ordered salmon Sashimi on the side. 5. Salmon Sashimi: Thick hefty pieces of salmon. All in all we had a good experience. I wish that they were more open minded with the whole substitution and roll preference idea.
