Came from Oakley to Sacramento for my daughters State placement test and found this amazing restaurant. I am salvadorean and their Pupusas are the bomb. The sopa de pata is delicious. Great and friendly service!

Some of the best pupusas I’ve tried. My favorite is the chicken and cheese. I definitely remind this place. I’ve been here a few times and haven’t been disappointed. will be back soon and the horchata is good as well.

I love this place. I come here all the time with my friends and family and it hits the spot every time. The beef soup is BOMB. Their pupusas are the best I’ve had in Sacramento. The place is both a taqueria AND a mini-store/butcher shop so you can get food to-go too. Everyone working there is super nice and welcoming too. And… My favorite thing: They have Inka Kola! I don’t usually give glowing ratings because it’s really only the bad service that leaves me fuming enough to actually go on and on about a place and compels me to leave notes. But this place deserves it!

My family and I are first timers at this restaurant but we will for sure become regulars. My hubby and I ordered papusas; tried a cheese, beans and jalapeño pupusa, a bean and cheese pupusa and a bean, cheese and chiccarrones pupusa. The kids had a cheese quesadilla. We loved the food and the service was awesome. I need to note that their red spicy salsa was great with the papusas. I can’t wait to go there again! My baby boy couldn’t stop munching on a pupusa; the pupusa was soft enough for him to devour.

Watery salsa & watery pupusas. Wasn’t impressed with anything unfortunately. Will not be returning. The servers were ok. That’s why this joint got a 2 stars from me.

This review is for their carne asada super burrito. The super burrito was supposed to have guacamole in it and there was none! The meat was mostly gristle and there was mostly rice and sour cream in it. I am highly disappointed, I paid 10.75 for garbage! I thought you were better than that Las Palmas since the rest of your food is amazing. I am sad to say that I probably won’t be back for a while.

Best freakin Salvadorian food in Sac hands down. Run, don’t walk to this awesome establishment. If you are a fan of cheesy goodness in your mouth then you won’t be disappointed. The food is made fresh, is always hot when it eats to your table and the service is great. If you come on the weekend there is usually a couple tables available around lunch time but be prepared to wait a little bit for your food to arrive. As far as the food, my favorite is the classic cheese pupusa. They serve the pupusa with a side of great red sauce and a cabbage mix. Their carnitas taco is also fantastic. The location is in a small strip mall off the 99 in South Sac. But don’t worry about meeting any unsavory characters here. The place is nice and all the customers are friendly. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. On the plus side pupusas hold up really well and taste good reheated if you can’t eat all your food when you’re at the restaurant.

Great Salvadoran food! Highly recommend the cheese & jalapeño papusas. Friendly & clean restaurant. This place had a great variety for Salvadoran & Mexican food. Definitely will be back here.

So we’ve only sat down and had chips and salsa but already loving it. Can’t wait for our food which I know will be delicious.

Born and raised in San Salvador… Solid spot. Nice Salvi shop and bakery too. Cooking fresh food from scratch takes a little longer than canned and frozen, so be patient. I would not recommend for those of you on a 30 minute lunch break. Enjoy!

My friends and I found this place since it was the only restaurant that sold pupusas on a Sunday. It had a community-feel to it as the staff was very friendly. ORDERED: Pupusas with cheese/jalapeño and revueltas. PROS: Free nacho chips and salsa bar. When the pupusas were served, it came with curtidos on the side too. The size of these pupusas were huuge so I could only finish two. The staff even have shirts that say, «Got Pupusas?» CONS: Since there was a lot of customers and they made these from scratch, the wait was around 15 – 20 minutes for three orders. OVERALL, I will definitely come back when I’m craving pupusas again!

Disclaimer: I’m not the connoisseur of El Salvadorian food, and this is only my second encounter with Pupusas. But according to my taste buds, this hole-in-the-wall place serves the greatest Pupusas I’ve ever had. I’m drooling thinking about them ;(i ordered one of each kind, and every one of them was equally satisfying. The service was exceptional, I walked in and placed an order for 8 Pupusas and was out the door in less than 15 minutes. Will definitely be my go-to place whenever I’m back in sacramento

I was on my way home from work and craving pupusas. So I ran a quick Unilocal search and Las Palmas is where I ended up. So what if it’s in the hood… the food is authentic and the cooks prepare each meal on the spot. Yep… not a single dish is «prepped» or «pre made». Even during rush hour, which happens to be when I arrived. The service at Las Palmas is super efficient and was delivered with a smile. I ordered 3 pupusas: Jalapeño con queso, Jalapeño con queso y calabash(zucchini), and a combination style, which happens to be called the Revueltas. I will most definitely return to Las Palmas and I’m happy to say that the waiter gave me a take home menu so I can call ahead when I want to order pupusas to go.

Great little Salvadorean + Mexican taqueria. I have had 2 types of their pupusas, queso con chicharon and queso y frijoles y loroco. Both were good and come with traditional Latin American slaw and red sauce. Pupusas are $ 2.75 each(discounted prices for more than 2). I also have had their carne Asada taco salad, ITSBIG, and is only $ 5.99. They have a chips and salsa bar as well.

Las Palmas is a simple restaurant with a great menu specializing in pupusas, a traditional Salvadorean dish. It’s located on Stockton Boulevard which has a reputation for being a little rough on the outside. However, recently, I noticed police patrolling the area and it was a little quieter than in the past. If you haven’t tried pupusas before I recommend you get a combination. There’s quite a few to choose from. Also, the more you buy, the more you save per pupusa as listed on the menu. You can’t go wrong with a bean and cheese one, which are my favorite. This time I felt adventurous and I tried the Calabasa(squash) and cheese, which was zucchini, Loroco(squash flower) and cheese, and a Frijole(beans). They all seemed to be stuffed with the same thick delicious white cheese. These are made to order so there might be a little wait. It’s worth it though. They come with a fermented vinegar Cabbage Slaw/Relish, called curtido and seasoned tomato sauce which you can layer upon your pupusa. For me pupusas are dense and oily and need the slaw and sauce to balance it. My friends got the Nachos vegan with the cheese and sour cream on the side. I was surprised that the cheese was the melty-sauce kind that you get on cheap nachos. They liked it though. Moreover the friendliness of this restaurant brought me back. Both times that I was here I was patiently helped with a few translations because most of the menu is in Spanish. Also, there’s a small market attached to the restaurant specializing in Salvadorean and Mexican foods like spicy mango candies for dessert.

I came here on a Sunday evening after calling in an order for pick up. The parking lot was PACKED! My food was just coming off the stove while I was paying(only a 15 minute wait). All tables were full inside, but the staff was quick and attentive. Pupusas were delicious. I will definitely be back.

Service– excellent the manager was very nice and helpful. Looks like a lot of regulars go here because everyone knew each other. The food took quite awhile to come out and they didnt write down one of our orders but it was perfect because we were so stuffed after a chicken burrito, one papusa, one gordita, and the empanadas. Food was okay. And they’re connected to a mexican meat market. They had freah porkrinds ready so i had to buy a pound its soo good.

Not in the best of locations; but still the best pupusas in town. The restaurant serves El Salvadorian as well as Mexican food. I’ve yet to order anything other than pupusas; but the restaurant is usually packed(an indication of good food).
