I believe in the student so much that I am willing to try out this massage school.
As a new client, I signed a waiver and I understood that I will receive a massage from a student with X number of hours with some Tui Na massage modality experience.
Since the student is not a graduate and still learning… keep in mind this massage can rate between «ok» or really awesome like a «real– massage» with a few kinks.
I received a tad bit below «ok» massage that if I paid more than $ 19 to
for this experience, I would have been too honest to the receptionist that I might hurt the student’s confidence.
My assigned student was very polite and I am sure she is a fine student but she could have used stronger pressure against my back during the first 45 minutes of the massage (I should have asked the receptionist if this student had firm hands). The student did not concentrate on the pressure points on the back of the head or the sides of the face. After my back (keeping my clothes on) was draped with a sheet, she made LIGHT circular movements from my upper back to waist, then from waist to toes on each side of my body. Applied lotion to my feet and hands and asked me to turn over.
The last 15 minutes were simply focused on rubbing my ears.
The receptionist was very nice and did not push me to sign up for the HAI membership.
Ps– the business is hard to find.

I purchased a Groupon and decided to try out a different type of massage — Tui Na. I have absolutely no regrets and cannot wait to book my next appointment! I haven’t purchased the membership, but I’m seriously considering it. $ 19/​mos only a 3 month agreement at a time and you pay $ 19/​massage. Help the students gain hours and you get your body kinks out and relaxation on to the max!!! They have 1 other location in Citrus Heights — main office. Downtown location they told me today is closing/​closed.
