Literally drooling when I think about this place. This was literally the best quesadilla I’ve ever had! This place is a whole in the wall but jeeeezzzzz is the food amazing. We spent the day in Napa and the locals recommended to come here for lunch. Best recommendation we had the whole trip. Super cheap food and fantastic quality. The portions are huge too. There’s outdoor seating as well. Aside from their food this is a great little store with tons of Spanish snacks. Great for just a pit stop as well.

Side of the road burrito dives are a common thing in Southrn Arizona, but there was some authentic mexican food hidden inside a gas station in Napa! Maybe it was the flavors of my home or maybe it was the gallon of Chardonnay I drank, but either way their burritos were pretty tasty. Heads up for vegans or those who are not fans of dairy, their guac has sour cream, so beware!

We got the name of La Luna from one of the employees at Cakebread who mentioned that this was the place the employees tend to go eat. From the outside it’s very unimpressive — actually contained within a gas station. When you walk to the back, they have their full service counter with the menu and a tamale warmer, along with a broad selection of Mexican candy, snacks and chips. Some in our group got the quesadillas, which were huge for the price and phenomenal — grilled perfectly. This came with a side of sour cream and guacamole. I got the spicy pork tamales, which were excellent and applauded by the entire table. All in all, if you’re willing to put up with sitting at picnic tables outside of a gas station, this is a really affordable and authentic lunch option in Napa.
