Went to Erie on a Sunday afternoon. Cute little shop with benches to sit out in front. I ordered: olive oil citrus cake, lemon lavender scone, strawberry rhubarb scone, a chocolate chip cookie and one donut(was a day old on discount since they only make donuts on Saturday). Even though the donut wasn’t fresh it was still pretty good. The rest of the items were all yummy and the service was welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be back again to try their cream pies, which looked amazing. Also, got a cold brew iced coffee, they use beans from Café Grumpy in Brooklyn.

Erie is truly a hidden gem of NJ bakeries! Renee(the adorable owner) is always coming up with amazing new recipes and all of them are scrumptious! I frequently travel over 20 minutes from my house(and pass several subpar bakeries on my way) just to taste the new treats she is always baking up. She is a genius in the kitchen and she has me frequently licking my phone with her mouth watering Instagram posts! I love supporting this small business.

My husband & I were craving good coffee/tea and I found this place on Unilocal with great reviews. We were not disappointed! Amazing coffee & tea and absolutely delicious baked good! We will definitely be back to this gem of a place!

Erie bakery is a hidden gem off Park Ave by Materas. The flavors blend so well together from rosemary to thyme to orange to berries. Try something you wouldn’t typically go for. Get the rosemary and thyme with orange icing cookie. You will be surprised! It is very pricy but worth it. I like the snicker doodle cookie with icing in the middle. It’s about $ 3. Small space inside but room to sit if you want. They work hard to offer different items and really put thought into everything they offer. Try it once, I’m sure you will find at least 1 thing you like!

Tried this place for the first time about an hour ago. Got a double espresso and a bunch of baked goods. I have no idea what these things are called but they are glorious. The double espresso is more like a triple, and the coffee they use is excellent. Huge flavor without the bitterness. The selection of stuff is… Hold on a second while I have another bite of this delicious circular chocolate thing… Sorry… the selection is varied. Its clear they prefer high quality goods to quantity here. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. I will definitely be back. Good god this lemon cookie thing is good.

Everything here is baked on premises. The menu is constantly changing and there is a wide variety of sweet and savory items. Everything we bit into was delicious. The lattes were flavorful and strong. The bakery is very clean, welcoming and hip. The staff is extremely friendly and inviting. I can’t believe u didn’t come here earlier! I’m so happy this is around the corner from my place. The baked goods here are so interesting and creative. Not your typical bakery. I highly recommend making a stop here.

Don’t come here if you are looking for your typical bakery goods(rolls, buns, danish). Erie has a smaller selection of delicious baked goods. The snickerdoodle cookies are great as well as the chocolate peanut butter bar that I tried recently. They have a small but great and unique selection of baked goods and Café Grumpy coffee. Each week it seems they have add some new baked goods to try. They added a few stools in the store and theres a bench outside. Parking is a bit tough watch the time on the meter…

What a unique and awesome little bakery. I am so glad this is right around the corner! I also tried the snicker-doodle cookies based on other reviews and I’m glad I did — now I’m addicted! And I don’t usually have a sweet-tooth. Coffee is great also! There are a few little bar stools to sit on if you want to have a quick sweet bite. They also used some antique displays and furniture for their goodies, which I truly appreciate — I am a nerd for that kind of stuff!

Pastry chef here is awesome! Nutella cake, olive oil & citrus cake(2nd fave), snickerdoodle filling cookie(fave), coconut crème pie… just to name a few. Belly was dancing today. Got a hot latte and added brown sugar to it… excellent! Staff is so sweet and very very friendly. Very cute spot. Lots of different pastries and including savory treats too. I was so curious how the broccoli cheese potato quiche tasted like… OMG it looked soooo good. I will come back for that. Kinda wish they had a few pastries appealing to my kids… yah picky eaters… maybe something with sprinkles or even rice krispy treats. Other than that, it’s great to walk in and just see a variety of treats to choose from. I’ll be back(Terminator voice) heehee. Oh few tips: — Street parking(metered) — Garage around the corner — Cute downtown area to walk around — Coffee and a slice of pie $ 5

I’m so grateful to have a local coffee shop in town like Erie Coffee & Bakery! They have great coffee(Café Grumpy), espresso, pastries, and even cakes for special occasions. I go by there for a weekly treat of coffee and pastry, and it never disappoints. They have these little cakes(not quite a muffin, not quite a cupcake) with interesting flavors, like sweet potato and marshmallow — so so good! Their banana bread is also a favorite. The women who work there are super friendly, giving it a fun, local vibe. Check it out!

I love this place. I found them through Unilocal when I was looking for a birthday cake for my parents birthday party. Unfortunately, I couldn’t afford the prices for a 50 person birthday cake but I have since stopped in to try their pastries and other assorted goodies and got a 6″ birthday cake that I special ordered. The birthday cake I special ordered was a light lemon cake with fresh whipped cream on top. It was $ 45 and served 6 people with a slice or two left over. While pricey, it was very tasty and the customer service was great. I ordered everything via email and all my emails were responded to by the owner, Renee in a prompt and efficient manner. I stopped back in with my husband separately to try the pastries and everything was phenomenal. I can’t remember all the items we tried but we just kept pointing to things because everything looked so good! A few things we tried included a cinnamon sticky bun, olive oil citrus cakes and some hand pies that were out of this world. While I wish the prices were a bit lower, I can tell that a lot of love and attention to detail goes into everything Renee sells and I can appreciate that when we have so many corporate run shops selling stale and mass manufactured items.

I have finally found a fantastic cup of coffee in Bergen County! Moving from Manhattan to Jersey I noticed that it was extremely difficult to find a place where coffee is appreciated and brewed to perfection, well after 3 months I finally found it here. Renee is not only knowledgeable about the brewing process but did her research to find the best beans for her cappuccino. Both the aroma and flavor make every taste better and better. I also tried three of the fabulous pastry and was very happy with all of them. The carrot cake is one of my favorite things there. I love this place!!!

This place really is a hidden gem! The coffee is great(bonus: they have almond milk!) and the baked goods… Ridiculous! Try the fresh monkey bread, lemon lavender scones, and chocolate chunk cookies. You will NOT be disappointed. I must also mention the awesome vibe in the shop. The girls seem super cool and pumped to give you yummy goodness. I only wish there was seating so we could hang out in there! What do ya say, ladies? Maybe a few stools by the windows? :-)

I have been going in for a traditional muffin or cappuccino, weekly. I’m so proud of the owner for all her(yes she is a lady!) efforts towards Erie. The pastries are delicate in their taste, with nuanced sweetness and the texture being soft on the inside. The cappuccino I tried are made with the right amount of foam and the coffee is a light roast. Add some chocolate powder on top of the foam and you feel like you’re drinking a REAL cappuccino. I also ordered a cake for my birthday yesterday. They will take down any request and price their cakes by person. My cake was both personable and super classy with beautifully thought out details all around her creation. And it tastes even better than it looks! I loved what you did for me Renee, thank you If you’re ever in the area, stop in for a nice treat at Erie Coffee & Bakery. Your taste buds will thank you.

I love a great scone and they have a really lovely lavender lemon. Perfect Been twice now and have had their latte(nice, smooth not too much milk I can taste the richness of the coffee) a lavender scone(perfect) blueberry galette(hubby loves it I was so so with it) and wow blueberry muffin. I must say the quality of ingredients superb. I feel like I finally got the pastry shop I’ve always wanted. And they have some really good coffee too. First time I got the cortado and although it was the new barista making it for the first time I loved it the coffee is really delicious and smooth. Best of luck on this venture. I love the baked goods. Yum.

I was fortunate enough to stop by this little gem of a coffee shop yesterday as they had their ribbon cutting ceremony. There was a mob of folks there, from the mayor, to a dog named«stinkle.» Had some of the coffee, which after a day in a conference hall with burnt, stale cups of joe, the café«grumpy» roast they had on hand was amazing. I had stopped to grab my gf something sweet and found they had a pretty good selection to choose from. Apparently the baker did some time working as a pastry chef on both the west and east coast and even for a brief time under the cake boss of Hoboken. Anyhoo, great coffee, great pastries(get the chocolate covered toffee a la heath bar) and really beautiful vintage accents on the showroom.
