Los Pinos

Tonight was my second time here and both times the food & service have been great! The staff is incredibly friendly but was a little slow tonight. I am a little concerned that the waitress picked up our chips for a refill then proceeded to the next table and grabbed their chips for a refill. I was not sure that she actually brought us back our original chip basket…

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Royse City, Rockwall area. Love the queso and chips. My favorite is the beef chiminchangas. You must try them! Family owned and ran and very friendly.

My wife and I ate dinner there on 10÷4÷14 along with another couple. When our food got to the table it was cold, my wife’s food didn’t have what it said was in it, in it. My meal was supposed to have a tamale with it but didn’t. We had a coupon by one meal and get ½ off of the other but they couldn’t figure that out correctly. They couldn’t figure the tax correctly and it took over 15 minutes for them to bring our bills, which were incorrect. Oh and the other couple’s bill was incorrect and their food was cold also. I wish I would have read the reviews before eating there, I wouldn’t have done it.

It’s no Gloria’s, but for the money, it’s a great place to eat. Food is decent. I have had the enchiladas and they are pretty good. Wednesday is $ 5 enchilada dinner night, plus you always can have up to 2 free margaritas. Not sure where else you can have an enchilada dinner and 2 margaritas for $ 5. Atmosphere is okay, typical for a local mexican food restaurant. Dessert is to die for. Best Flan I have ever tasted, very thick and rich. It is a must! Only complaint is last time I ate there they double dipped my credit card. Hoping this was just an honest mistake. Like as you leave the establishment they all say «see you tomorrow».

Not the best food ever, but not the worst. Their salsa is alright, but the chips need salt. The rice and beans are just ok, and the chicken enchaladas weren’t half bad. The service was just fine, and the interior was nice enough. This is downtown RoyceCity people– what do you expect? You get 2 FREE margaritas with each meal purchaced. They’re weak, but you can’t beat free, and it’s BYOB. THE LOCK IN THE LADIES ROOM DOES NOT WORK, so beware of drunk bitches barging in on you.

SHADY PLACE! BEWARE!!! Los Pinos (a texmex restaurant) in Royse City has broken our heart and we will never step foot through those doors again. On top of getting everyone’s order wrong and the waitress apologetically taking it back to be corrected, then the cook doing it wrong a second time, and the waitress having to yell at the cook staff to AGAIN cook it, then it still comes out wrong, but at least at that point we have some food in front of us so we don’t say anything… They were purposefully overcharging the tax! Yes, stealing tiny bits of money and hoping no one did the math to realize it. How do we know this? Well, we can do math, but also the waitress told us, «that’s how they get you; check it» because she didn’t want us to think she calculated it wrong. Probably thinking her tip was being jeopardized. We didn’t take any tip away from her because none of it was her fault. Moral of the story is don’t go there and if you do double-​check your ticket and do the math yourself!
