I’ve popped into Tania’s(said Tahn-yahs) pizza off and on throughout the years. It was introduced to me by my college classmate Jeff who lived in Royal Oak. The stuffed pizza, which is always available at the quick-serve counter, is a winner. For a stuffed pizza, it is a nice ratio of top/bottom crust, filling and sauce. The top crust is brushed with butter and garlic salt for that little extra something. Like some have noticed, sometimes it’s kind of stuffed and sometimes its kind of skimpy but it’s always good. Honestly, I have never ordered pizza or anything other then the ready-made stuffed slices.

Primo’s is the best pizza in Birmingham, and Tania’s is the best pizza in Royal Oak. Tania’s is in a small liquor store which should be a good sign. The stuffed pizza is just incredible to put it bluntly. The dough is so light — you see dough over top and think it’s going to be very heavy, but it’s not. The garlic and slight«crunch» of the top dough puts the great sauce and cheese over the top. I would drive an hour just for Tania’s.

Not bad pizza! I was surprised it was in a liquor store but, honestly it made it more convenient. One stop shop. I like their garlic cheese bread and the crust is really yummy.

I am VERY picky about my crust and sauce. This place has it nailed! I ordered a stuffed veggie pizza(I DON“T like a ton of dough) It was so amazing. The dough is THIN, very flavorful, but not too much to take away from the amazing ingredients inside. They don’t skimp on the stuffing either, all fresh. Very impressed. I even brought a piece to a local business owner to share with him. He also was WOW’ed. The owner, Amos, and his staff were also so courteous. This business also sponsors many sports teams, very community oriented. Not your ordinary Dominoes or franchised pizza. A MUST try!

The goddamned best. Neither rain or snow or terrible weather stops these guys. They’ve delivered around the corner to us in awful winter weather. We just ordered pizza and said we’d wait and hang out in the car till it was ready and come back. 15 minutes later-they walked out pizza out to the car in awful snow. As a 7months pregnant woman, I was so touched I could have cried. Tanias forever!!!

The garlic salt is not a lie, but I like garlic salt so I enjoyed the pie thoroughly. They were able to construct my favorite pizza(feta, onion, pepperoni, and bacon) and it tasted good. The cheese bread also hits the mark. You can take your time with eating it too because both the cheese bread and pizza taste good piping hot, but also when the cheese has cooled. The place is a 2 minute drive from my house, so I will be making multiple trips in the future.

All of the raves I decided to give this place a go. I was… Disappointed. The dough tastes distinctly like frozen pizza. I know my pizza, and this just tasted frozen. The stuffed pizza had virtually NO cheese inside and was ‘light’ on the toppings. No wonder it was fairly low cost… SALT. Lots of salt, and garlic. You’ll be drowning yourself in water for hours, even days after eating this and have dragon breath from the garlic. I was expecting much better unfortunately. My son liked it though as he stops in for lunch sometimes between school and football. So it wasn’t a total waste. But I won’t be buying this for the family as a whole again. Nobody was impressed. Salads are ‘meh’, especially compared to salads at Green Lantern with the only bright spot being they use romaine lettuce vs Iceberg. The bread sticks were the best part without a doubt. But the pizza was just not very good and not worth me going back.

We just moved to the area so we are slowly making our way through the pizza places. Decided to try Tania’s tonight. We ordered a stuffed pizza with sausage/green peppers and a round pepperoni. The two larges came to about $ 20 which I consider a pretty good deal. The round pizza was fine, definitely had a homemade crust taste to it. The stuffed pizza was totally different than anything I have had before. It was cooked well on both sides, I was worried it might be doughy. The sausage was really tasty and on top of the pizza was garlic salt which made it a combination pizza & breadsticks. The only change I would make next time is to order a side of sauce to dip. Both pizzas were lacking sauce, but I think it was more to prevent them from being weighted down with toppings. The price was a great value — especially on the stuffed pizza and it tasted better than a chain. I didn’t go to pick up the pizza but it sounds like it’s partly a liquor store — which makes it a one stop shop!

Good pie, fresh ingredients and fair pricing. They don’t use mushrooms out of a can!!! Buy local, you won’t be disappointed

First time customer, ordered delivery via Unilocal and it was easy. The pizza was awesome. When you ask for extra cheese, you get extra cheese. So much better than any chain. Glad that I decided to go the mom & pop route. The online order said it’d take about 45 minutes but was here in about 30. Got myself a happy tummy now.

The stuffed pizza is a must. I don’t care what it’s stuffed with, it is impossible to get a bad slice! Great selection of adult beverages, especially the whiskey products. Super friendly staff, and always engaging and funny, and I can’t beat the location, but even if you live much further away, it is worth the trip.

Friendly service. Yummy pizza and slices available. The owner is super friendly and more than willing to help out local schools for fundraising opportunities. They have quite a good selection of Michigan beers as well.

We are out on Sunday driving around and the person I’m with looks and say…“Oh! Crazy Bread!!!”. My first thoughts are that this place is gross but we like what we like, so I stop and I’ve spend more on worse things and if she is happy… Not a bad deal. However, as I’m driving down Crooks, I feel obligated to stop and get her a slice or two as a way of being smug or angst against the«pizza! pizza!» guy. 3 slices for 5 and it had just come out. Is it a calzone? It it bread sticks with stuff inside? Who cares! It’s really good and reasonable. It’s also different than most pizza joints out there. On an even better note, they carry some decent Scotches and beer. It’s a place you have to deliberately think about or you likely won’t go. If you are trying for the first time, buying a whole pizza so it’s fresh is probably the best route to go.

I enjoy it here, it’s actually a pretty cool place. It’s inside a party store with a variety of liquor and other beverages and snacks to start your Friday night or any night off right. We have only had the stuffed pizzas and they are pretty good. The toppings are plentiful and it’s not watery, soggy, or greasy. I just wish they had a little more bit cheese inside. The bread sticks though… PERFECT. They remind me of my home town pizza place. They are puffed up, thick sticks, that have a light butter taste with a crunch on the outside and warm, soft, and fresh taste on the inside.

Ok this place has been bookmarked for a while, so I made the trip, the place was busy, it’s a party store with the guys in the back pumping out some good stuffed crust pizza, we went with a stuffed crust veggie pizza, I liked it but the wife wasn’t so impressed. We also got there cheese bread and we both liked that. I was a little disappointed but hey it’s pizza from a party store so it is what it is, and if stuffed pizza is your thing give it a try you might love it.

Though I’m from the area, I had never had Tania’s pizza before in my life. This past Friday, I found out why… Having never been inside the store, it was described to me as a craft beer specialty market that sells this incredible pizza. :CORRECTION: This is a party store that with a moderate selection that sells very expensive, mostly plain pizza. Firstly, the business. I ordered a SMALL Greek pizza at $ 10.49 and a SMALL pepperoni only pizza for a less expensive, obviously forgettable price. I’ve literally had Red Baron frozen pizzas that were better. The dough they use is bread dough, not pizza dough. It kind of tasted like shit really. Not soft, greasy and perfect if you’ve just drank a 12-er of Bud Light platinum or whatever it is you people do these days Now I’ve heard about their stuffed pizza. The pizza I ordered was not of this nature. That is a separate issue. I read a review that said«this is the best pizza in Oakland county», that person is a liar. If you think party store pizza is the best around, you must not know how to taste stuff. This pizza, was more than likely the second worst, second most expensive pizza I’ve eaten.(see my review of «hippies pizza“for the first) I’m not hard to please, however I’ve had pizza all over the world. Tania’s is a pizza I won’t be having again. I will mention I was impressed with the selection and the staff was courteous during my visit. Please consider this review for the pizza only. Other than that, carry on. Primo’s Pizza in Birmingham, clearly still the king of party store pizza. Clearly.

I’ve been wanting to try their stuffed pizzas for a little now and I finally did yesterday! Yayyy! Really good pizza but a bit skimpy on the cheese and toppings :(I got two large stuffed two topping pizzas for a bit over $ 25 after tip. Not too shabby :) my mom ate two slices and she’s the most picky eater I know and the leftover cold pizza was even better than it was when it was hot and fresh. Like I said, great pizza but skimpy on the toppings
