The last zza I got there seemed undercooked, cheese barely melted. I can’t go back there again.

Food is great, love the fried pickles and also love knowing that I can get a salad at 1 am delivered to me so I don’t feel like a shitty person! However, it’s like these people aren’t very happy about there job. When I’ve called in on two different occasions and spoke to two different employees that some how both had the same type of attitude on the phone, almost like their tone made me feel rushed to order and made me feel uncomfortable. Just very rude and short, not a very pleasant phone call, only thing that makes it worth it is the food.
So yes… A+: for the good food.
C: for the prices.
And F: for the service.
I hope one day maybe someone nice will answer the phone… And change my views on hippies pizza. But for now they definitely don’t live up to the «HIPPIE» name.

Used to be really good… last few times we’ve ordered from them they’ve unapologetically messed up our orders. If they’re out of something they just substitute it or leave it out while still charging you. Disappointing.

Sad to say, never again. Rude ass dude hung up on my girlfriend, because they were busy. Called back. Same thing. The other reviews are starting to make sense. Ymmv. Use at your own risk. Food is good. The two stars are for the food, the missing three are because they employ asshats.

Best pizza by far! Fresh ingredients and vegetarian/​vegan options. Sooooo delicious! Typically they will have it ready quicker than the estimated wait time too.

I’m a huge fan of hippies but something about the customer service today got under my skin.
When I placed an order (I knew they were busy) I was on hold for about 10 minutes. Okay fine. (Please change your on hold music, its torture! Lol). Then this woman with a loud screechy voice answers. As I order my pizza she says «okay» which I assume means please proceed with anything else you’d like. So I start to order my wings and in her drawn out annoying tone she says «hold on, I can only move so fast». Why say okay then like you completed the pizza order?!
Hippies pizza should only have laid back chill employees in my opinion. Maybe she needs a real special brownie before her next shift.

As I sit outside of Hippies Pizza devouring the vegan medium pizza I just picked up, I feel propelled to write a review. Not only because I’ve always had good service, but because I feel like this place has less stars than it should. I’m vegan. Let’s get that out of the way now. Hippies is my late-​night spot. The ONLY vegan late night spot. I’ve never had a bad experience here. They don’t deliver as far as my house :(but it’s worth the drive. The veganstix are phenomenal, and although I’m not a huge fan of Daiya cheese, for whatever reason on a Hippies pizza it is the
! Love love love Hippies. Love!

Customer service is HORRIBLE, they refuse to get an order right, then they over charge you for a BURNT PIZZA, they refuse to replace. I will NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!! They hung up on me, instead of correcting their mistake. NO MORE BUSINESS FROM ME!

If you want the quality of Little Caesars at twice the price, go to Hippies! The wings were among the worst I’ve ever had and they forgot the blue cheese. Pizza was disappointing and tiny for $ 10.

I love that they have ridiculously late hours of operation, and that they have a broader than most delivery range. I also love that they have quite a selection of original items to try!!! However, the 3 times I’ve called to order, the 3 times I said «hey, let me give you people my hard earned money» I was met with incredibly rude order takers! No politeness, I was rushed off the phone without a thanks or even a goodbye! I actually felt like apologizing for being such an inconvenience. And then when my food arrived, the cheese had to be reattached to the pizza and the items I ordered were missing ingredients listed on the descriptions in the menu. I want to love this place, but they don’t deserve my love or my money!!!
So, to the employees: I am so sorry you had to be burdened with my phone calls, and I’m promising you that I will not bother you again!!! Maybe with all your free time you’ll have from lack of business, you can look over your menu so you have a chance at creating an edible and appealing product!!!

Hippies, you are everything I wanted a pizza place to be. Independent, variety of different pizzas. Perfection!

So excited to find a pizza place that is open late on the weekends! I’d be happy with midnight but they are open till 3am on saturdays which is insane!
I had been wanting to try this place out for a while and it didn’t disappoint. Their menu is absolutely huge and it makes it really hard to decide what pizza to get. Everything is unique and unlike any other pizza place I’ve seen before. They also have dessert pizzas that look awesome and I hope I’m able to try one soon!
We ordered The Mack, which is essentially a big mac on a pizza and it was surpassingly delicious. The cheese bread we ordered was great too.
Looking forward to trying more things from here!

I ordered from GrubHub trying this for the first time and it was delivery. Which came quick and 20 mins early!
I ordered a small New York Round with traditional and spicy Pepperoni with a small order of Cheese Bread. It came prefect temperature, the aromas were so good I had to eat a piece before I snapped a pic. The pizza’s crust and dough were great and the cheese was delicious. The spicy pepperoni was sooo good! The cheese bread was soft but still crisp and is addictive.
Definitely tell they put in a little passion when they prep and make their food.

This place delivers late night vegan food. That is the single most important ingredient to this restaurant.
Nowhere in Michigan do I know a restaurant that falls into the three distinct categories: vegan and late and delivery. Praise this restaurant for these three reasons alone.
On top of that their quality is one hundred percent worth it. I took two cheese and meat loving friends here and they said that they enjoyed that good pizza full without that heavy nasty coma junk food feel. The ingredients are so fresh and wholesome.
The have original combinations and signature pizzas that will intrigue you. Not only are they their originals admirable because of their unique complementation in one another, but they are superb! Their hippie sauce is tasty as can be. It’s like a light barbecue flavor with a twist. I don’t even like bbq but it’s the closest flavor I could compare to.
All their crusts are vegan. Even the regular pizzas so you don’t have to specify.
And their hippie sauce is also vegan.
Love this place. Love the vibe. Love the little table and chair sitting outside. Love hippies pizza. Period.

After reading all the other reviews, speaking of bad service and missing food, I can honestly say that every experience I’ve had with hippies pizza has been positive. Now whether or not that is consistent for everyone else, I have no idea. But each time my husband and I have ordered the food is been fantastic, the price point has been consistent.
One of my biggest pet peeve are seeing reviews from people sometimes, who admit fully that they have been to a place 100 million times and been completely and totally happy, except for this one time and now are leaving a terrible review. It’s hard to take someone seriously when you can give them good service for two years or 20 times, and none of that warrants a good review. Idk.
However, there is something to be said for the same complaint popping up over and over again. Hopefully, hippies is aware of their consistency issues and strives to change them, because honestly? Their food is really good and if they keep cranking out pizzas with the delicious toppings the way they do, I will continue to be a client there. Good job, thanks for not screwing any of my things up :)

My husband and I order from this place whenever we don’t feel like cooking (which can happen almost once a week). The staff is all very friendly and you get a feeling that everyone loves their job and feel like a family. My favorite part about this place is their vegan cheese. I’m lactose intolerant and I have been missing the taste of a delicious cheesy pizza for a large portion of my life. This place has given that back to me. I always order the same thing and have never been disappointed. My husband is a bit more adventurous and he likes to try all their craft pizzas and has loved each and every one of them.
The only reasons I gave it four stars instead of five is because when you order over the phone they have the most difficult time understanding you. The place they work in is small and you can hear the noise in the background so it’s understandable but sometimes annoying when you have to repeat yourself over and over again. The other reason is we ordered online once through Grub Hub and they completely forgot the cheesy bread we had ordered. However, we called them right away and complained and they gave us a free LARGE cheesy bread next time we ordered. Just make sure you call to order you food. Avoid Grub Hub.

They have a huge menu and deliver until 2am on Monday-​Wednesday and Sunday, and until 3am on the other days… great combo for when you’re hungry and intoxicated late at night/​early in the morning.
The first time I ordered from here I had the Pineapple Express (Prepared Without Sauce, Mozzarella, Portabella Mushrooms, Onions, Roasted Garlic, Chicken, Bacon and Pineapple. Glazed with a Teriyaki Sauce then topped with fresh Basil) and it was very yummy! It was a thin crust and that made me feel better about eating it at 1am in the morning. The breadsticks weren’t that great.
The second time I ordered the Breakfast Club (Prepared Without Sauce, Egg, Mozzarella, Cheddar, Ham, Bacon, Turkey, Tatter Tots, Tomato, Onion) and they didn’t have egg or something like that… can’t remember exactly what they said as it was 12:30 and I had some drinks in me. I told them that was fine and to just add a side of Ranch and they said sure but they would have to charge. I kind of feel like Ranch for missing egg was a fair exchange but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. I tried the Cheese Bread this time and it was good but not the best. I wouldn’t order the Bread again.
I had no problems with the delivery of my pizza or the communication. My phone wasn’t accepting incoming or outgoing calls so we texted.

What a joke. Placed an order at 11. Said it’d be an hour. No big deal.
12:30. No pizza. Call. They say they screwed up. I figured it’d be a priority. They didn’t.
1:30. Pizza arrives. The driver doesn’t even acknowledge how long it took.
I didn’t tip him and told him why (I always tip, I used to be a pizza delivery guy), he walks away mumbling something. Fuck him, and fuck this place.
I could’ve driven to Meijer, bought a steak, and cooked it in two hours. It would’ve tasted better (this pizza is garbage), and had been cheaper. But after working 11 hours, I didn’t want to cook. I just wanted to smoke a bowl, and eat a pizza (before nearly 2am).
I won’t be ordering from this dump again.

Utterly underwhelming for the prices charged.
I ordered 1 large pepperoni pizza, 1 large «Porky’s» pizza (Mozzarella, Cheddar, Pulled Pork, Ham and Bacon) and 1 large salad. Grand total was $ 44. I don’t mind spending a bit more, provided that the quality matches the price.
The problem is that the pizza was only «meh.» The toppings were ok, but the crust was a TOTAL FAIL. The crust was dry, had ZERO chew, and zero poofiness. Seriously, the crust reminded me of the crappy pizza I was served in elementary school. My husband, who is normally a pizza fiend, declined to eat the leftovers, stating that he would rather eat a «hot & ready.» Harsh, but accurate.
Perhaps it was an off day. But at those prices, I won’t be back to investigate.

Hippies is the late night savior of the Royal Oak/​Clawson area and they’re priced accordingly. They have a massive menu with a ridiculous amount of funky choices (12 pizza sauces, damn!), toppings and combinations that were seemingly conceived specifically to cure the munchies after midnight bong sessions. They’re so good that I’ve started to choose them during the day over the usual suspects around town of which there are many.
They have four different types of crust and we’ve selected the Chicago style the last few times. The crust and traditional sauce isn’t quite as flavorful as Pizza Papalis but still tastes good. You definitely get what you pay for here because they OVERLOAD your pie with your toppings of choice. So much so that I can usually only eat one or two slices in one setting (which is saying a lot because I can and will eat an entire pizza by myself, I’ll see you in hell diet!).
It’s fun to select appetizers here and their wings are some of the best I’ve had, no lie. The extra hot in particular are sensational and pack a mountain of zingy flavor that isn’t too spicy at all. The mac and cheese bites are better than average and so are the butter garlic and parmesan laced breadsticks. You will get sticker shock when you look at their prices for the first time and our bill easily exceeds $ 30 most times we order. But when you consider their hours and multitude of selections they offer including many for the vegan and gluten free crowd, you’ll learn to understand why.
Now let’s get to the service. About a year ago, I swore this place off because they had a bastard behind the register who was unresponsive and argumentative to the point of being neglectful and downright rude. Another couple was in there at the same time picking up their order and the wife came out pissed because he was rude to her as well. We were both in complete shock at how garbage he was! I was reluctant to order from them again but it looks like this guy is no longer there. On my last carry out order, the person who helped me was friendly, very outgoing and even sparked a conversation about a new band I should check out.
I usually just do a pick-​up because the delivery times are almost always at least an hour for whatever reason. But yeah, I’m a hippies fan and would recommend them to anyone around who wants to try pizza that is more creative than just about everywhere else in town.
