This place ISNOTNIKONIKO, under new management. I tried ordering out and the lady put me on hold, couldn’t speak English, couldn’t take my order. So I went down there, and the place is filthy, food still took 25 minutes to prepare and deliver to me. Yea, I will not be going back there!!!

So disappointed in our lunch today. We’ve been to Niko Niko so many times and this time was so disappointing. We did the all you can eat and all of the rolls we got were inedible. The rice had so much vinegar that it completely masked the taste of everything else. We ordered a couple of appetizers too, the Gyoza was so peppery it tasted like the dumped the whole bottle of pepper in there. I don’t think we will ever come back. Worst sushi I’ve ever had.

This is my first Unilocal review and I have to say… this is probably the worst sushi I’ve ever had in my life. My friends and I were in the area and were hungry so we decided to stop by for a quick bite. We ended up ordering AYCE sushi since we thought the price was reasonable. What a big mistake. The food took forever to come out, service wasn’t very good, and most importantly, it tasted absolutely terrible. The sushi was definitely NOT fresh. Even the sushi rice didn’t taste good. I think I’m going to be sick. Oh and the best part, the server looked at our left over sushi(we just couldn’t finish it because it tasted like a**) and told us that we’ll be charged extra if we don’t finish it. Well… we ended up shoving the leftover sushi in our mouth :( Not that I was planning to come back to this place in the first place, but I would like to warn everyone to stay away from this place. I’d rather go to McDonald than this place. And I HATE fastfood.

Ok so I have been coming here for a few years now, and have to say they are improving. Their food is good, and it’s a nice atmosphere. There customer service has gotten way better!!! They have all you can eat which is nice because you save money, while pigging out lol. The best part for me is the complimentary green tea ice cream if you get the AYCE! It’s soo good!

For all the negative reviews I personally have no idea about that experience while dining at this fine establishment. Came here last Tuesday for the AYCE meal. Dinner time. I’m a huge fan of salmon and octopus. Got two rounds of about 10 – 12 pieces. The sushi chef made the rice, little pincher rounds where the sashimi slice was clearly double the rice. Yuummmm. Added a scallop dynamite, sashimi salad, three mussels, with a miso soup to wash it all down. Was super killed after this meal but extremely satisfied. Will come back but probably eliminate a dish or so I don’t explode again. lol! High quality food!

Miso soup on the house tasted bland and watered down. Wasabi was weak sauce and not potent whatsoever. One star for service. Service was decent. The girls working here were sweet but definitely really awkward and when I say awkward I mean awk af. But none the less they get an A for effort. 0 stars for food. Boyfie ordered the crazy roll and monster roll. Both werent tasty. The spicy albacore in the Crazy Roll had a texture that was sickening. I ordered salmon sushi and yellowtail belly. Both were small cuts and you can tell they weren’t fresh at all. One star for parking. Parking is abundant because of the vacant Albertsons that used to be here. Want some decent sushi? Don’t come here. Spend a little more and go down to Sushi Koshu or Restaurant Kamon which are both pretty local.

Such a BIG disappointment. Let me just list all the bad things about the food at this restaurant: –All«grilled» and«blackened» items on the menu are all MICROWAVED. I felt like I ate solid oil and grease. –Sashimi was not fresh at all. It was very dry. –Tables were sticky and not maintained well. –Water that was brought to our table still had remnants of weird particles floating around. all and all, if you want low quality sushi, go here.

Ok how do I start this, I’m writing this to warn fellow customers. That’s being said… We called ahead to tell them we are coming and ask if they accept gift certificates, the person said«yes, the only thing is you can’t order the ‘all you can eat’ deal» we said ok great, we’ll order some rolls and that’s cool. We got there and ordered a salmon roll, bento box and asked if they had a tiger roll/shrimp tempura roll. They said«we don’t have tiger rolls but we have a shrimp tempura roll». We said never mind and were quite surprised when the shrimp tiger roll made it to our table. Ok dinner foul #1, maybe it’s an honest mistake, we ate it anyways. When we finished our meal we asked for a to go box and the check as we presented the $ 25 dollar off coupon from . The waiter said«oh I don’t know. The manager doesn’t accept those with special sushi prices, your total will have to be more now» we were surprised. When we asked why this was he said«oh it’s the managers policy. You really should have said you were from restaurant.com». I said we called ahead to speak with someone and he said«oh that was me but you can’t use it at this time, it’s not good unless you bring more people». He gave us a $ 54.60 check and said«I’ll apply the $ 25». He returned with another $ 54.60 check and said it would be changed. We gave our card and waited for him to fix it. He returned and said«ok. I fixed it» and when we signed for it we realized it’s the SAMECHECK. No change whatsoever. Dinner foul#2. Ok let’s get serious. We are not coming back here. After we asked him to recheck it and redo it for whichever value was lesser($ 25 coupon or not) he went to the manager and he said«Hey Dad I need your help». Grrr, this waiter was a real winner. After 5 min of waiting for a new check we got a new one for $ 34.23, which was better. The waiter insisted«if you would tell me you’re a user I could have helped you better» my girl told him«we told you as soon as we sat down that we called» and he said«oh I’m sorry then, my fault». I won’t go back.

Do not go here unless you want sushi that’s 80% rice. The food is drenched in sauce and it isn’t good.

I came here for the first time and ordered something small. I ordered a regular spicy tuna roll but when I received it, it didn’t look fresh at all. It was more of a brown than red color and had a weird tangy taste to it.

If there was an option for zero stars that’s where this place would be. The food is a big letdown, not to mention the restroom smells awful– Sashimi salad had bits of fish leftover chunks that were chewy and unappetizing. These bits of what they called fish sat on a bed of romaine lettuce. what happened to the fresh mixed greens they used to have? This place has really changed for the worst-so sad because just a few years ago this place was pretty awesome. My brother also got sick from their chicken teriyaki roll… Please guys, save yourselves the disappointment and go somewhere else.

Came here around 9 for a late dinner with my lady because we were craving sushi and it was definitely a good choice. They have an all you can eat special for $ 23 bucks that was tempting, but we didn’t honk we could eat that much. We were right. Our orders of the night: Half shell oysters: they were huge. I only got one, my girl ate the rest. Pretty good. Volcano roll: one of my favs. It’s a California roll topped with baked scallop, crab, and spicy tuna. Loved it. Caterpillar roll: simple but delicious. Unagi and crab in the center with avocado on top. Super crunch: there was a lot going on on this plate. Shrimp tempura and crab on he inside with avocado and a mountain of spicy crab on top. Pretty good. Lots of crab though. The server was very attentive. I never had an empty glass of tea and he made sure we were taken care of. Very clean establishment. If come here again. Sushi that’s definitely worth the price.

This was a truly relaxing place to eat at after a long crazy day of taking care of business in L.A. The waitress looked like she could be real macho and stand-offish but her personality was anything but and she took good care of us. Brought us water immediately and swiftly took our order while also checking up on us. They served good cuts of sushi but prices are above what I am used to spending for sushi. But the rolls were creative and tasted good. I am unsure if they served alcohol but I jotted down a note that the place was failing which hints that they did not or it was over the top expensive. Correct me if I am wrong, do they serve alcohol? I could have sworn remember seeing shelves of liquor behind the bar. I have been too many places and haven’t had the proper time to sit and write Unilocal reviews.

Went here for AYCE lunch on a friday. We(a group of 7 guys) went there early so we would hopefully get our food faster and go back to work. Food was ok, but the service was HORRIBLE! I had my hand up for 10 minutes before the server noticed me. Our first round came out slowly and our second round came out 30 minutes after we had finished our first! All the other patrons at the restaurant were getting their food at an acceptable rate. I feel that they were stalling so that we wouldn’t eat that much. I complained to the waiter and asked to speak to the manager, in which he said the manager would be coming at 4pm but I could call his cell phone. So I called his cell phone and told him the story, and he said he would call the restaurant. I then asked the waiter what the manager said, to which he replied«try to give them the best service». Our food came out promptly after that, but by then we had already been there for 90 minutes and we were not hungry anymore. If you go, do NOT go in a group and do NOT get AYCE! Go somewhere else!

I like coming to places with mix reviews. You never know what to expect. Overall it was very good experience. It was empty for a Saturday. Got greeted by waitress and she sat us on a table. Went for AYCE. Top for the day where the Honda Roll and White Tuna sushi. Both were light fresh flavors. Kept on wanting more. I really liked their plate presentation. Made food look extra nice. Had a sashimi salad. I could do something like this for lunch everyday if it was convenient. Only thing was I needed little more service. Me and my friend dont drink much while we eat but it would have been nice for someone to check up on us more. Good Experience. I will definitely come back if I am in the area and craving sushi.

3.5 stars. The sushi quality here is actually pretty good. I sat at the bar because I liked to interact with the sushi chefs. Feel free to buy them a beer, because they will definitely drink with you! My main complaint is that the sushi is a little on the pricier side. Don’t get me wrong, I have no problem shelling out lots of moolah for my beloved sushi. However, the rolls were about 15 dollars each(some less, some more than that). The sushi was good, but not THAT good to be spending that much on a roll. There was only about 8 small pieces in each roll, so you would find yourself spending about 50 – 60 dollars for a party of two. Yikes. I also ordered the chicken udon, which was NOT satisfying at all. The chicken pieces were just randomly cut up pieces and the broth just tasted so bland to me. I’ll be sure not to order it the next time I go. Don’t forget to check in or post an Instagram picture to get a free scoop of ice cream.
