Extremely unprofessional. But the staff does the minimal at best. The food is handled just barley under health code violation(using liquid egg and leaving the container open, etc). And I was denied service because the owner Shawn Faulk personally does not like me. Would not recommend for anyone.

The staff is very nice. It’s VERY open & roomy inside, plenty of seating. A few tables outside, not really a patio though. Great location, being right downtown Round Rock. Not sure what it is exactly, but I’m just not crazy about the atmosphere. I think maybe because it doesn’t feel«cozy» to me. COFFEE: Coffee is pretty good, not the best. I feel like I stumbled onto a great discovery when I tried their Turbo coffee, though. Supposed to have 3X the caffeine of espresso, which doesn’t much matter to me, but the flavor is amazing, and it’s SO smooth! Definitely my new go-to drink at Star. BREAKFAST: The good Round Rock restaurants tend to be pretty packed during prime brunch and breakfast hours, but Star always has room, and the food is good and fresh.

While I was exploring Round Rock Downtown, I found this little contemporary café around the corner of Main Street Road. This is not just a coffee house, it is a restaurant as well. They have full food menu and desserts including Amy’s ice cream! Of course, an extensive list of coffee(organic as well) and espresso drinks available. They organize fun events and live music, have a lot of board games and comfortable seating for kids and family. Coffee, espresso drinks, and muffins are excellent. I haven’t tried the food, however. Pricing is reasonable and service is so-so. It is a great spot in Round Rock downtown worthy of the visit for coffee!

Very happy to have the Star Co in downtown Round Rock! This eases the pain of losing Saradora’s Coffee House that used to be off the corner of Main street/Mays. Star has won us over with their fun events(belly dancing, etc.) lots of board games, and seating to just hang with the family and kids, enjoy some ice cream, coffee, or scribble in the notepads they provide… Great service, location and staff!

Really decent coffee, good to ok baked goods, Live music in the evenings, nice atmosphere. Terrible French toast, weird sausage and just average breakfast tacos. Bacon is burnt. Staff is friendly. Don’t come for the food. If it were for the food, it would be one star. The coffee itself is closer to four stars. Combining all together, there’s a three star review, just average, average, average. I wish they would improve the quality of the food, it would be nice to have a good breakfast spot in downtown Roundrock.

Reminded me Austin’s old downtown. Nice ambiance, good breakfast taco and coffee. Nothing extraordinary but good. Laughing at people’s comments about service. This is not a fine dining restaurant.

Better tasting espresso than S*******s. More room and comfortable than the other options. Wi-fi works great. Nice store, nice staff in the middle of downtown Round Rock. Highly recommended by ardent coffee drinker.

This place is great! I love it here, i stop by for my lunch break everyday. The employees are friendly & helpful. And the baked goods they have are super delicious! Try there nutella cheese cake, its so yummy! :) and you get free refills on coffee & fountain drinks. They get a little crowded during lunch hour & sometimes takes up to 30 minutes even for to-go orders to be ready which can be a little annoying but all in all this place is pretty awsome. And lots of seating indoors & outside as well!

The barista was so friendly and hooked me up with a delicious caramel cheesecake latte! It was so velvety smooth that I couldn’t stop sipping. I wrote some random thoughts in a journal for the next patron; it was an enjoyable environment in which to relax. Next«Howard and the skye» provided some nice tunes for grooving.

Friendly & helpful service. Military discount. Delicious food and tea. Great atmosphere with table top games. If you’re alone, you can sit at the counter where there are electrical outlets.

I have been looking forward to exploring downtown Round Rock(more then just the library anyway.) So when I saw this little corner coffee shop, it became first on my list; Lauren loves coffee. :) Like most coffee places these days, this is also a restaurant. The service was really good, and the mushroom quesadillas even better! The Mocha Frappé is yummy and the WiFi fairly fast! They seem to have something for everyone. On top of meals, they have desserts, including ice cream. There is a bar area where you can watch TV, too. This is defenitly on my list of places I will return to, many times.

Cute place and amazing chai. It doesnt have your typical coffee shop feel because the tables were set up in rows like a cafeteria. The chairs need repair too.

I LOVE this place. They have Amy’s Ice Cream and so much to choose from. This used to be a wedding venue and it happens to be where I got married. It’s a nice size and very clean with great customer service.

Saw lots of people studying, reminds me of when I was in school. I guess this is a better alterantive than SBUX. The reason for the three star review was, I was waiting over 5 mins for someone to package the cupcakes. I did not understand the wait, no one else was in line.

No ambience, no comforts for the customers felt like we were eating in a basement. Food so so, coffee weak. Acoustics terrible the sound of everyone talking gave me a headache. Cant think of one reason to go back and give them my money.

Great coffee shop! I’m so glad there’s another coffee place in RR besides Starbucks. They have an extensive menu of coffee and espresso drinks. They also serve breakfast tacos… score! Not many places have breakfast tacos AND good coffee. I also highly recommend the MONKEYBREAD. It’s delicious, cinnamony awesomeness.

Okay coffee. Not amazing but not bad. Ordered an Aztec mocha frappé and a pumpkin spice latte. Frappé was a little too sweet, but drinkable. Pumpkin spice had like no pumpkin flavor and really just tasted like your basic latte.

The new Star Co is a vast improvement over the old location which focused on wraps. The menu is more diverse and frankly, just tastes a whole lot better. The breakfast sandwich is a solid go to choice in the morning. For lunch, the sliders are excellent. I also enjoy the rice bowls and the wurst dogs. Coffee is solid and dependable and the prices are much better than the old location. The only area they need to improve on is the speed of getting food out of the kitchen. If you are in a rush, try a drive through. But if you can relax and wait a few minutes, you will enjoy what they send out. Glad they are back and glad they are so close to me!

I feel badly for the owners here. I’m not sure if they were here or not, but as a business owner and a person who eats out a lot and supports local, I can usually tell if an owner or at least a manager is present. It started badly with no menus to be found until I asked, they are at the front counter… which you don’t see until you are paying. Actually, not being greeted was the start. No one ever smiled. After we ordered, our drinks were delivered. My wife asked for a straw for her water, and the server said that they were short on straws so to ration them out she wasn’t giving them to people with water(I.e. My wife). That didn’t go over well. Next, it took over 30 minutes for the food to come out. They were not busy, but only managed to bring food out every 8 — 12 minutes, like they were cooking one dish at a time. Finally, the food came, part of it, and it was mediocre at best. No apology for the wait. I got the Thai chicken wrap, which was mostly lettuce… My wife and daughter both ordered the Porky sliders with aioli on the side. The sliders arrived a few minutes later on dry, stale buns, with a tiny piece of bacon and tiny slice of melted but now no longer hot cheddar. Slider meat had way too much black pepper and were shaped more like over-cooked meatballs. We normally give places the benefit of the doubt, but this experience solidifies that we won’t be back. Hoping this review will bring changes, not bad feelings. Sorry, Starco.

Came by today for coffee. Had a good cuppa joe & wifey had a small Pumpkin Pie frappé drink. Both were very good. They serve breakfast, lunch & dinner. Next time we will come back and try the breakfast menu.

I still haven’t tried the food… The coffee is still mediocre at best. The place feels warmer now that it has some comfy seating. There is also a selection of cake and soda in the serve yourself fridge. I’ll come back and try the food eventually but this place is getting one more star than last time.

Yikes. I don’t think I have ever given a 2 star review before. My roommate wanted to stop in here. I thought it looked cute but no one was really in there on a Saturday night. We took cheesecake to go and it was the worst cheesecake I ever had. This tiny little piece tasted like cardboard. I should have known when one of the workers came out and asked the other girl if anything needed to be replaced. It seems like they let food sit for too long.

Three stars at first but had to switch to two. First, I hated that they only had one menu and I had to stand at the counter reading it while people stood behind me waiting. Bad form Star Coffee, bad form. Also, it wasn’t posted for others waiting in line. Uncomfortable experience right off the bat. I ordered a 16 oz coffee. It was very… adequate. Nothing I’ll remember but it was hot, tasted like coffee, and I enjoyed drinking it. Paper cups are fine to service those getting theirs«to-go» but I prefer an actual coffee mug when sitting and relaxing. I ordered an omelet where you choose three ingredients from a list and only got two of my three ingredients. Omelette tasted, adequate, like I made it in my kitchen. Nobody knows because nobody has cared to see how I’m doing. They’re not busy either. Btw, the missing ingredient cost extra $$ so again, very poor form Star Coffee. And, I know it’s a coffee shop but«café» is clearly advertised on a pink cupcake on the window outside. Won’t return. Not terrible. But a little bad.

This place is super cute and they have options for unlimited cups of coffee. I came in with my husband who was keeping me company while I studied for a HUGE Nursing final. Again tons of families coming in with small children. So… this place is a breakfast place more than a coffee shop where people can come here in study. I was sorely mistaken when I thought I could study. cute shop though.

A genuine village café. Simple but satisfying menu. Coffee was hot and full flavor. Staff was all smiles, courteous, and gave everyone their space I’ve been having the oatmeal with blueberries lately. Very good! Fresh! The breakfast tacos are also very good. And the music is always, always hip! Great place to hangout in. Very pleasant.

Quiet working crowd at 2pm on a Thursday. Someone studying, a couple with their laptops out, and two single ladies reading. I would be interested to see what the morning and evening crowds look like. My iced vanilla late was simple and flavors were great. Little guy had a cookie bar that they heated up for us and was very good(although we probably could have used a fork!) So glad to have Amy’s ice cream right down town! I will be getting some next time we are down town on a warm day.

I don’t quite understand the harsh reviews for the recently-reopened Star Co Coffee shop, so I’ll just share my opinions. The new spot is a little roomier and airier than the previous location. The last building had more historic charm with exposed limestone, but it was a little cramped. The new spot is downright cavernous in comparison. Star Co has tables and chairs for days, but they are a bit soulless and institutional. Some cozy couches and conversation areas would go a long way to improve the space. Coffee is the most critical thing to me when I evaluate a coffee shop(duh). I prefer shops that use local, phenomenally-great Cuvee beans. This is not one of those shops, but I have been positively surprised by the quality of the espresso drinks. The quad-espresso drinks taste just fine, and they are cheaper than most out there. Based on the quality of the coffee, the convenience of popping into this spot, and the speedy service I get every morning, I’m a fan of Star Co.
