Knockouts Haircuts For Men

As of late, barber shops tend to try and make a name for themselves by loading as much man-​themed decorative distractions and freebies as the space will allow, hoping clients will be inclined to choose them over budget franchises that won’t be named. Thankfully, Knockouts is the first place I’ve seen that’s been able to differentiate themselves successfully, and with some class.
The free beverage naturally kicked things off to a great start, but the complimentary shampoo and scalp massage was enough to justify the cost of the entire visit, which was surprisingly less than I expected it to be.
What will keep me coming back to Knockouts are the small touches: Full-​length mirrors for every chair, ample space between cutting stations, tv’s at every chair with all unused tv’s on mute, decorations that were subtly masculine rather than sleazy or cheesy, and the stylists appearing to genuinely enjoy the company of each other by laughing and conversing casually when not attending to my cut.
These things alone would justify 4 stars, but my stylist, Melanie, undoubtedly pushed my experience over the top. Beyond her patience, attention to detail, adaptability, and knowledge of different hair types and their nuances, she was just fun to pass the time with. Pausing once in a while to ask if I wanted to take a sip of my drink while she changed from one task to another was a small touch, but like the business itself, it’s the little things that will keep me driving past the other barbershops on my way to Knockouts.

Kaylee gave a killer haircut and educated me on many different types of products. She was very careful and meticulous and her attention to detail really showed. I will definitely recommend her and Knockouts!

Great place! I’ve been going there for 3 or 4 years. Melissa is the best stylist I’ve ever had. Always ready at my appointment time.

I’m not exactly sure there is more than one or two hairstyles available.
I’d been growing my hair out for nearly a decade and my son had been growing his out for about two years. We decided to cut and donate our hair to Locks of Love for some folks we love that have survived or succumbed to cancer. We chose to make it a documented family excursion and I searched for quality men’s barbers and came across this place. I made an appointment. Searching further, I discovered that this place seemed like a Hooters for haircuts…
IT IS NOT.
I was a bit worried about taking my son and daughter there, but they are both nearly adults so I went with it.
The massage and hair washing was a bit of a surprise, but extremely enjoyable. The cut was professional and clean and meticulous for both of us. Great time overall.
My son and I went in with pretty much the same hairstyle and different pictures of what we wanted, but we came out with the same hairstyles again. Only he looks like Tom Cruise and I look like Rooster Cogburn.
Great experience, well worth the price!

Please don’t review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you’re connected I’ve read many reviews and have to say peoples expectations and feedback are off base. I’ve been coming here since they opened and am still a client. My first stylist left after about a year and I’ve been using Melissa ever since. The reason I come here?
1) Pricing is on par with other places that provide a full service. This ain’t a supercuts people. This isn’t a $ 9.99 haircut.
2) This is a place that provides a full service, offers appointment times
3) They only hire talented stylists.
Look — I don’t go to places where I have to explain to the stylist every time what I want. That’s why you pay a fair price for the FULL Service you receive.
I’ve NEVER had to wait more than 5 – 10 minutes past my appointment time to sit down in the chair (happens once in a blue moon). I don’t have to tell Melissa anything. She knows how I wear my hair, and I get a CONSISTENT hair cut every time without having to explain anything.
Bottom line — If you want speedy and randomness — Go to Sport Clips, or Super Cuts.
And to comment to the one review that said it was like Hooters — What place did you go to? It’s a boxing theme place in which the stylists wear branded t-​shirts, and short jean shorts. Their outfits are NOT inappropriate by any means (heck, I see worse on the streets daily that are 10x worse!!). I bring my children here for their haircuts as well.
Keep it up people! any way to the owner or employees.

Great haircut with good customer service. A little out of my way, but worth the stop when I am in the Round Rock area.

I’ve been a customer here for nearly a year now. Melissa is my stylist, and she always does an amazing job! Even my wife likes the haircut I get here, and she is super picky about it. Melissa gets my hair cut fast, keeps me entertained, and never leaves me waiting when I show up with an appointment. I’ve used a couple other stylists as well and have never had a bad experience. The ladies here take their work seriously, so you will always get a quality haircut. If you are looking for a snobby, stuck-​up, overpriced fashionista salon, this is not your place. These ladies know how to cut men’s hair, keep you attractive, and do it quickly without charging you a couple hundred bucks. Take a shot, ask for Melissa first, and you won’t be disappointed.

I would have to give this place a 3 based on expectations being a little high given previous reviews and the theme/​name marketing. Overall the cut and scalp massage was good. I am kinda SHOCKED I wasn’t offered the opportunity to taste a beer during my experience (I guess I should have asked). With that being said I didn’t notice the beer refrigerator near the register until I went to pay.
In the end, there was nothing special about this experience… The place may want to focus on their delivery…

Really nice staff and easy to talk to. Next time in the area I would definitely stop by. Little on the pricey side, but at the end it was worth it.

I’ve been coming to this shop for almost a year, driving past half a dozen other options on the way. Totally worth it. Without fail, I leave Belle’s chair with a sharp cut and exercised cheek muscles every time. She’s professional, personable and capable of many different styles and services. Can’t trust just anyone with an eyebrow wax, eh?

They do not honor appointments here. I expected it NOT to be a chop shop but that’s evidently the goal. I was late 5 minutes due to traffic but they gave up my spot anyways, after they had called me due to concern of my tardiness. Not three minutes after the call I arrived and much to my dismay, they gave away my spot. I’m just not coming back.

I tried this place out for the first time after some hesitation. I am so glad I did! My stylist did an amazing job and gave me exactly what I wanted. She was super friendly and even offered me a free beer! Not to mention the awesome scalp massage that I got after my haircut. I will definitely be going back.

Even With two «stylist» working on my haircut, the results were not what I wanted. brought in a picture told them I wanted a I more prominent Weight line, I think that’s the correct terminology. still did not get satisfactory results and the experience is not worth the money.

I wanted to try this place out for a while but was very leery because of the perception it had on being an adult oriented haircut place… The reputation it has is like a hooters for haircuts. You really didn’t go for the service but you went because of the view… I was wrong, the service was very good and very professional… My stylist was great and walked me through my cut. She was dressed very comfortable and not provocative at all. This place has a theme… its geared towards men. But not in a bad way… They have magazines that men would like, a free beer while you wait and tons of t. v’s tuned to sports. Not bad but I’ll stick to my other place

I went to the one in Round Rock, TX on November 29, 2014 before going out for the evening. I would give it 2 ½ but the ½ is not an option. I looked over the options and knew what I was going to get before I walked in. Before I could say anything, the stylist stated «you’re getting the VIP haircut» which is of course their most expensive, $ 25. You do get an adult beverage or water.
The atmosphere is relaxed with tv’s at every station and my stylist was friendly. However, I don’t know why they call it Knockouts. I expected more than what I got with a name like Knockouts. My opinion is that it’s an over priced haircut. If you are looking for something different and are from out of town, this place would be ok. I don’t mind spending $ 25 for a haircut, but in my opinion it reminded me of Sport Clips or your local haircut chain and was not worth it.
The cut was ok, not great. The neck and shoulder massage was nice but way too short in my opinion.
Will I return — probably not.
Would I recommend — probably not
Overall experience was just ok, nothing spectacular.

I just went there today for my first time. Vivi cut my hair. Very professional and did a great job. I would definitely recommend going there for a cut.

This place doesn’t deserve your business.
I showed up half an hour before they closed for a quick haircut, yet they were closing early. The woman locking up told me they close early if there are no customers, and just walked off.
They wont be getting my business, and they don’t deserve any of yours, if this is how they treat customers.

Best haircut I’ve had in a long time. Julie went the extra mile to ensure that I was relaxed and comfortable. The haircut itself was exactly like I like my hair done. I did the Heavyweight service. The 2^nd shampoo was better than the first with the hot towel and scalp/​neck message. I found my new hair place. Awwww yeah felt really good. I didn’t want to get up from the chair!
