Love this place! Just had special(Mahi mahi) with their sautéed spinach and cheese grits. All delicious and especially loved the grits. Great southern mule too!

Like Ann… we also were turned off by a nasty bleach smell that was overwhelming today and almost turned around and left. Won’t be back because it made it difficult to enjoy food and eating.

Meh. I have not been here in 3 years and after last night I remember why. Food is mediocre at best. Prices are too high for what you get with respect to quality. We showed up about 7pm last night and there were plenty of tables available and for a moment I thought I was in Chuckie Cheeses as there were many children just running around with no discipline from their parents. We sat down and I ordered a double IPA which was the highlight of the evening. I ordered Fish and Chips. I asked if it was heavily battered as I did not want to ignite my indigestion. The nice waitress said no. I ordered the 3 pieces and when it came out 2 pieces were tiny and one was a little bigger. Honestly 2 pieces would have been enough. The fish was hot and frankly it was tasteless and a little on the greasy side. Fries were room temperature and limp. My wife ordered a glass of wine and the chicken pot pie. She thought is was good but again for the price it was a tiny portion. Total bill with tip was around $ 57. We thought about having another drink as we did like the hipster singing Irish songs, but decided that it would be better to not spend any more money there and just go home. Got home, took an antacid and went to bed.

Ok. Regularly here but stinky bleach cleaning smell permeating the bar(and not the fresh clean type but the eh, why change the water in the bucket type) and the soup comes out room temp. C’mon Keegan’s get your act together…

With positive reviews from other patrons, we decided to try another establishment bearing one of our favorite fares. Smelling«Bleach» upon entering was a huge turnoff and contemplated at that point to turn around or continue. We decided to amble to the bar with hopes the intrusive smell would dissolve once we became accustomed. Interesting there were more American beers on draft, then Irish and what was ordered was quite different then what we remembered in Ireland. Lunch(Chicken Pot Pie & Bangers Breakfast) was nothing out of the norm. My eyesight should be in better shape eating more diced carrots, then beef in the pot pie with a burnt top crust. The breakfast needs to switch its«wheat toast» to «soda bread» to give it more authenticity. When that urge to eat Irish arises, we know where to go and unfortunately this isn’t the place.

BEWAREOFTAKINGCHILDRENHERE… Being a born and raised local, I’ve been to Keegan’s many times with usually a perfectly fine experience. Tonight was the exception. Upon the end of our meal(with our two young children) two grown men proceeded to get in a verbal and then physical altercation. The staff did nothing at first when it was just verbal but then stepped in and removed one of the parties outside once it got physical at which point we immediately took the kids and left. I believe they did the right thing but it is absolutely unacceptable for this type of behavior at a family restaurant with children in it! I will not be returning to Keegan’s which is very sad because we have enjoyed it.

Worst food in Georgia. Worst service in the USA. Worst restaurant owner in the world. If you manage to eat the food here and survive without a visit to the ER, let me know. Enter this place at your own risk!

Busy place most nights. Great barkeep. Noisy bar area. Food is better than most similar establishments. Fish and chips are very good, as is the Ruben. Not a lot of tap beers, but they have the important ones. I do agree with some of the reviews that the table service could be better. Last time in our beers went empty three times and it seemed our waitress had too many tables to service efficiently. We try to sit at the bar, but it’s usually full. Overall worth trying.

Nice place went one Saturday for drinks, service was great. But crowded at all, prices were decent.

I’ve only been here twice but this last experience was awful. I got quicker service on St. Patrick’s Day than I did on a random Tuesday night. I saw my server twice after having to ask someone who our server was because we sat there for 15 minutes with plenty of people walking around us and avoiding eye contact. The food was not worth the wait either. Of everything we ate, the tomato soup was the best thing. That’s the only thing I would recommend here and you better order it for take out an hour before you plan on eating.

This place was great! Hubby and I zipped in here one night on a whim. The food is very high quality, the atmosphere is very authentic, and the wait staff was very friendly. Good vibes in this place. The only suggestion is that they have more lager beers on tap.

I like this place, good neighborhood bar with decent food and a good laid back atmosphere. Good for all ages, and ok for Families too. But the last three times I went there, I got there for a little late for dinner(8:30PM) and at least one item was lukewarm to cold each time(none of the food was anywhere near piping hot). The dishes that came out cold were; Shephar’ds Pie, Onion Soup, and the Bangers and Mash. It all tasted pretty good but none of the dishes I ordered cane out very hot at all(even my wif’e’s burger was just warm. The last time with the Bangers and Mash I was just too bothered to send it back to reheat. I may just consider going there for a drink or two and not order any food. If you are going to order, check the food temperature right away. The board of health has minimum guidelines on food holding temps to ensure it is safe and free of bacteria that can upset your stomach, they need to use their food thermometers before serving. Still a good place and nice staff. Hopefully Management checks the Unilocal reviews.

Wish I could give it 10 stars!!! We had my dads surprise 60th birthday there. Our waitress was AMAZING!!! The best service by far for a larger party and she took care of us all on her own. The food was OUTSTANDING. If I lived in the state this would be my go to place. Cannot say enough good things about it!

We eat at Keegan’s about once every 2 – 3 months. It’s close and the people are friendly and the food is pretty good. Tonight I ordered the strip steak and ordered it medium. If you can see the photo that I posted, the steak is definitely not medium. It’s red, which means it is medium rare, at best, and close to rare. Having a steak that doesn’t match the temperature I ordered doesn’t bother me too much. I can’t master that on my own grill, so I don’t begrudge a mistake like that. But I nicely asked if they would put my steak back on the heat for a few minutes because it was too red for my taste. I expect medium to be a hot pink center. If you can see the picture, the center is a warm red center… and that’s AFTER I had them put it back on the grill. I can’t imagine how bloody it would have been before I sent it back. I didn’t make a big deal of it. I ate half of it, and I’m taking the rest home, which I’ll cook tomorrow to medium. I’m just disappointed.

This is a new fave of mine… The atmosphere for hanging out or watching a game is simply great… but after that comes the service. Jaco was amazing in not only talking through the specials of the day, but also in ensuring our bottomless mimosas on brunch were continuously full, with a true smile! I had the pleasure of sitting through a ‘hone game’(Colts) on one tv and the new home team(Falcons) on the other, while enjoying hot and wonderful wings and nachos — what more could a girl ask for with a full drink and a smile at every turn?! Jaco was equally awesome with the young kids at the pub top next to us and the school-age kids with dad watching the game to our side. This is a perfect neighborhood place for all. Third time there and plan for many more!

The service is great. These guys get«it». Meal was good as always but the spinach was a bit garlicky/salty. Over all they earned 5 stars.

Keegan’s just keeps getting better. The food and atmosphere are great. Whether at the bar, a booth or a table you get great service and can see your favorite sports. Hard to say what best on the menu. Irish egg rolls are a great start, but you also won’t go wrong with the pub chips and some beer cheese. For dinner the fish tacos or meatloaf or pub chicken or finally the chicken pasta… everyone will satisfy and delight. Specials are always good and you can’t go wrong with a juicy burger and fries. Enjoy!

After a grueling workout with a trainer, I had plans to meet up one of my all time favorite guys who just moved back to the Atlanta area after a dreadful few years in Statesboro. He’s been here a couple times and really wanted to take me here. So, despite the drive, I decided to cater to him this time rather than it usually being the other way around. I was starving so I ordered the grilled chicken Alfredo. I’m personally not a fan of Alfredo but I was really craving pasta so I just went with my stomach than my head lol. It was pretty good. I like the way the chicken was seasoned but wasn’t too fond on the dryness of it. However, still a satisfying meal, despite me not being much of an Alfredo type of gal. Pretty alright place. Nothing great overall and nothing bad, so it’s A-OK.

I have been going here regularly for the last six months or so and highly recommend Keegan’s if you want a place to sit at the bar, drink some good quality beers, and have a good meal. Their bartending staff for the most part is friendly and attentive and will greet you by name. I do not go here to sit down at a table for dinner so cannot speak to the service there. They have become extremely popular lately on weekends so if you want a place to sit you may need to get there early. I like their craft beer selection which includes Hopsecutioner, Red Hare Watership Brown, and Left Hand Milk Stout, among my favorites. It seemed they were rotating their drafts a little more frequently previously, though I may be mistaken on this. My only quibble is that I would like to see a couple more drafts rotated more frequently so there is more to try for the regulars Their food is much higher quality than what I have gotten at other pub style restaurants in the area. I highly recommend their spring rolls as an appetizer, the fish and chips, their burgers, pot roast, and their club sandwich.
