This has been my family’s upscale staple for nearly 20 years. The food has always been consistently excellent, with some of the best kept secrets in East Cobb, like the escargot and the veal ossobucco. Everything is fresh. The wine menu is extensive with rotating specials every week. The rotating food specials are almost always creative and provide a delicious treat from the usual norm. But perhaps what sets this place apart from other steakhouses is the service: always prompt, professional and friendly. Ask for Colin, he is very attentive and courteous. Whether it’s a casual night out or a celebration amongst family and friends, Chicago’s rarely disappoints. Get there early for the early bird menu, one of the best deals around.

Collin was a great server! Ordered 2 French 75s. The second one came out differently, more prosecco. If it’s French, should have champagne over prosecco? Ordered 2 tall and slims. Too much ice, spilled with each sip. Side cars seemed pre made and frozen. Taste was consistent and still my favorite cocktail here. Mediterranean Sea scallop special was delicious. Filet mignon was slightly dry. Tiramisu for dessert. Realized my boyfriend ate paper with each of his bites. It was on the bottom of the entire piece but not visible. Never saw a manager visiting tables, even after rush and only 10 tables or so. For the price we have better options, even in East Cobb. We came here because it was where we had our first date 3 years ago. Tonight was my birthday dinner. For the price, ambiance and food we will select Checquers.

Ok let’s start with the manager on duty-she was rude unprofessional and CREATED a situation which made me NEVER want to go back. We waited ANHOUR for our food(one meal was a salad). Everyone around had come in after and received their meals. When my friend asked whether she was going to «comp» us or should we pay so we could leave. She said«well, you obvious know the word«comp». Seriously? We were trying to give her a chance to fix it. I offered to pay and she became belligerent and embarrassing. She was terrible. I will never go back there.

The early bird special was great. It was a great price for what you get. I ordered the Prime Rib, which is an extra $ 4 up charge. My wife got the shrimp and grits. The only negative I had during this visit was with the salad order. The waiter casually asked if I wanted to add anchovies to the caesar salad. I was hesitant because I usually don’t order caesar and have never been asked that question before. So I wasn’t sure how it would taste. Just before I declined, the waiter offered to put them on the side for me. I was ok with that. I figured it normally came with the salad, and he was making sure I’d be ok with it, since it’s a topping many people probably prefer not to have. I was surprised to later find out that it was an additional charge. For one, the waiter should have mentioned that to me. And then, upon seeing that I probably didn’t want it, why would he offer to put it on the side if we wasn’t included? You only put things on the side if there’s a good chance you’re not going to eat it anyways, in which case you probably aren’t going to want to pay extra for it. In the end, I didn’t eat it because I hated the taste. The entrees themselves tasted fine. I got some horseradish on the side. I was surprised I wasn’t charged extra for that. If you’re hungry early and want to get an affordable meal, I would recommend you try it out. Just don’t order the anchovies.

Always a great experience. Love the onion soup, prime rib, house dressing and fresh bread! I’d say the negative reviews represent the reviewers more than the restaurant. One of our consistent favorites in East Cobb… oh, I’m from Chicago too.

Seeing all of the better reviews, I really had to do a double take and make sure I was looking at the right restaurant. During my visit, I found nothing Chicago(Im from there) or exceptional about this place. Nothing. The waitress put on a big word about the escargo and how some people who have been in France and had it say it is the best they have ever had-which left me GREATLY disappointed when the snails came and they were just battered with butter, tasted of butter and nothing else. The shrimp and scallop pasta was just OK, but the salmon we had was the blandest and most tasteless salmon I’ve ever had, and the portion was so very tiny(the salmon) that we had to go eat somewhere else after. For dessert, we had crème brule and it was not bad tasting, but it was completely liquid. A soup. That is NOT how crème brule should be. However I will say that service was good. Again, not exceptional but good. Like I said at the begining, nothing exceptional about this restaurant. Do not know how other people here loved it as some say they did. Perhaps its another case of fake posts and advertising, or perhaps they were having a bad day when we went. We will never know because we do not plan to go back.

Huge disappointment. The only Pro I can give this restaurant is the wait staff were all very nice. This is a very large and impressive looking restaurant for a strip mall center from the outside. However their pictures vs how it really looks inside are like night and day. I would call this a mid range restaurant Not cheap and not super expensive. The variety on the menu is different with some pleasant surprises such as Escargot, which I was really looking forward too. Listed as a «Steak-Seafood-& Pasta» Restuarant, I was surprised to see only three offerings of beef – Prime Rib-Filet Mignion-and Rib Eye. You get a salad and one side. I opted for the Rib Eye-Expecting a nice thick juicy steak at $ 30.00. So here goes my review– for appetizers we order the Escargot and the Green Tomatoe Fries — the presentation of the Escargot in the multi cupped baking ramekin looked very nice, each Escargot was capped with what looked like a mini hamburger bun– Unfortunately these were so over cooked I had to cut them in half with a knife and the texture was pure rubber and the taste was way to «earthy» almost mud like! The Green Tomatoe Fries didn’t look so great as far as presentation, however they did taste very good. In addition to the Rib Eye with Cesar Salad and Garlic Mashed Potatoes, the other person in my party ordered the Salmon with Bernaise Sauce capped with crab and served with asparagus. A side order of Brussel Sprouts was ordered as well. Ok the Rib Eye was so thin, it looked like a breakfast steak from Waffle House– although nice grill marks it lacked any seasoning and I swear it was not much thicker than a burger from McDonald.s. The garlic mashed potatoes again devoid of any garlic flavor but oozing in butter– The disassembled Ceasar Salad was presented nicely but with a single drop of dressing I found under the center strip of Romaine. The Salmon again devoid of any seasoning was a decent portion size with 4 sprigs of Asparagus — however the Bernaise sauce should have just been called warm mayonnaise sauce as that is all you could taste and the crab was not only quite strong in odor the taste was like pure iodine. It was all around awful! The sprouts tasted boiled but presented with a bit of char– undercooked and again devoid of seasoning. As it was our waiters first night and our first visit, I hesitated to state how unhappy we were with just about everything. It was his first day, we were his first customers, and so we just let it pass. Hoping perhaps a good dessert would make up for things we ordered the Tirimusu and Key Lime Pie which they say are made in house. The Key Lime Pie came disassembled with Cool Whip rather than whipped cream piped on the side. It tasted blah like everything else. The Tirimusu was the straw that broke the camels back! I took one bite and all I could taste was refrigerator. If you ever left something uncovered by accident in the fridge you know what taste I am referring too. Our waiter seeing we are not eating our desserts ask if they were ok. Again feeling bad for him, the Key Lime pie we just said we were full, but the Tiramisu which by now was leaving a horrible taste, I broke down and politely told him it tasted like the refridgerator. He turned beet red and kept apologizing. Told him it wasn’t his fault and when the bill came it was not charged. So with food tax and tip $ 102 later, this will be our first and last visit. Maybe we hit in on a bad night. I’m not sure– perhaps since the median age appeared to be 50+ is why everything was slightly or barely seasoned. not sure but definitely will not be going back.

We love coming to Chicago’s. They have early bird specials during the week that are an amazing price. They open at 5 and the specials end at 6pm. Also, on the weekends, they have live music in the bar area. Great place to enjoy a drink with some entertainment. We have order at least half the menu have never been disappointed. I highly recommend.

My family has been coming to Chicago’s for years and it’s always been delicious. My two favorite things on the menu are the Fried Shrimp and the fish tacos because they get it right each and every time I recently had the crab tostada appetizer and LOVED it. All of the flavors meshed perfectly and it was just the right size before our meal came out. Service is always good here as well. In the 18 years that we’ve lived here we have never complained about anything from Chicago’s! Stay awesome!

I enjoyed this restaurant! The server was very attentive and he made sure we were informed about every choice on the menu. I ordered the crab cakes and sweet potato purée, it was to die for. The turtle cheesecake was also as delicious as the entrée. Whenever I am in Roswell again, I will be returning.

Took my Honey to a Sunday afternoon movie and decided(after searching Unilocal) to have an early dinner here. I ordered the earlybird shrimp and grits for $ 12.00. I could order only between five and six PM. Since it was four fifteen it was not available. I was a real early-bird but I could’a ordered the $ 20.00 shrimp and grits dinner. It’s just odd that the server(and manager) couldn’t work it out. Is this a software problem or a management problem? Well, the salad was good.

Valentine’s weekend. We had a reservation and we were grateful. Chicago’s was very busy. We arrived a few minutes early and attempted to wait in their lounge, but there were no seats available. The hostess seemed a bit overwhelmed, but managed the bussers and her assistant to expediently turn tables around for the next guests. Our server, Chris, greeted us promptly and took our drink order. We tried the margarita and the Lynchburg lemonade. The lemonade was so good — it could have easily been one of those«deadly» drinks. Tastes so good you forget it has alcohol in it — until you try to stand up. Had to limit it to two. We tried the crab tostados. Omg!!! Good!!! I would return for those alone. Small tortilla chip size piled with fresh crab meat with red peppers and spices on a crispy chip topped with avacado and cilantro. For our main course, the prime rib. Cooked to perfection. Jalepeno grits were good, not spicy — just flavorful. Came with choice of house or Caesar salad. For dessert, we chose the special — German chocolate cheesecake. The slice was HUGE. Came with a side of hot fudge. Took that home for later. Our service was great. The environment was lively, but we were still able to hold a conversation without shouting. There was a wide variety of ages dining there. Toward the end of our dinner a band had started in the lounge, but it did not take anything away from our experience, from what we could hear– they sounded pretty good.

We went to dinner at Chicago’s last night for our annual friends birthday. It was their choice. We had not been in many years because we we disappointed last time. It has actually gone downhill. I had the mushroom soup which was covered with puff pastry. When the top was added to the soup it was very tasteless. I also ordered the fish tacos at the waitress’ recommendation. When she said nothing came with them, not even chips, I order a side salad. The salad was soaked in dressing over wilted lettuce. 3 pitiful fish tacos arrived. As a lover of fish tacos, these were the worst I’ve had in sometime. Go to Pure for great tacos! My husband had fish and chips. Another huge mistake! It arrived with 2 small pieces of undercooked fish coated with KFC breading, 2 tiny hush puppies, and soggy French fries. Want a good fish fry, go to O’Charley’s. Another friend ordered a roast beef sandwich and wouldn’t even finish ½. The best part of the meal was the Fried Green Tomato appetizer. We did not complain or send anything back because it was a birthday party. On a happy note, Valerie was a great waitress!

Chicago’s has been in my neighborhood for as long as I’ve lived here, but I haven’t yet given it a try. The other day I decided to try them out for dinner and was please with the experience. I sat in their lounge area and found it to have a nice, friendly atmosphere. There were just a few people when I got there about 5:30, but it picked up a little as the evening went by. It’s not much of a place for people who want craft beers and more of a cocktail type of place, but I was please with the Warsteiner draft that I had, and they serve it in an actual .4 liter Warsteiner glass. A nice touch. There were a couple of TV’s in easy viewing distance in the lounge, and one could watch the Bulldogs game that was on at the time if one was so inclined. As far as the dinner goes, I was pleased with what I ordered. I got what I think is one of their signature dishes, the pecan crusted chicken. It was really a good choice. The chicken was moist and tender within the pecan crusting, and the sweet potato side and bing cherry sauce was an interesting combination. The dinner also came with either a Caesar or house salad. I got the Caesar. It was on the small side, but was served with several whole leaves of romaine, instead of chopped lettuce. The dinner portion was pretty good; it looked like it was a whole breast. The bartenders and other service personnel were all friendly and made sure that my orders were taken timely and drinks refilled. It seemed like a place for a little more mature crowd than some others in the area, and also seemed like there are a lot of regulars who go there. They have a wide mix on their menu, and other interesting looking dishes, so I should be going back to try more. There is an early bird special between 5:00PM and 6:00PM with selected dishes at $ 12. This is a really good deal.

We received outstanding service from Eric, our server, at dinner last Friday evening. He was attentive and helpful and contributed to an enjoyable meal. We ordered the«signature» prime rib, along with a Caesar salad and some martinis. All were prepared perfectly. Although it lacks the ambiance of its competitors, consider this restaurant as an alternative to Aspen’s or Stoney River. And if you’re looking for a bargain, they offer early-bird dinner specials starting at $ 12 from 5:00 — 6:00pm each day

You’ve got to try this place,” a friend said. «Delicious early bird specials for $ 12, and wine at $ 14 a bottle.» You don’t have to twist my arm to try a new restaurant, so my husband and I went for a mid-week meal. My friend was right! We started with salad — mostly iceberg, but that’s okay — topped with a tasty honey bacon dressing. A hot and sweet croissant was on the salad plate. It melted in my mouth. I had pecan coated chicken, which came with whipped sweet potatos. T. ordered some kind of pasta, which he enjoyed. There are several choices in the $ 14 wine range. Our waiter recommended the tempranillo. It was okay. Nothing I would have accepted at a high end place — it may have been corked — but not bad enough to send back. Chicago’s is a neighborhood find. It’s got ambience, the food is good, the wine(ahem) cheap. I subsequently organized a «Neighbors’ Night Out» at Chicago’s. There were 18 of us, and all were pleased. My husband ordered prime rib which came rare, as he requested. I chose the chicken marsala. It can’t hold a candle to Carrabba’s, but it was good. And we discovered that the cheapie white wine — chablis? chardonnay? — is much better than their red. December 2013: It was a toss up between restaurants late Saturday evening. Chicago’s won out because they advertise live music.(My husband called to be sure. «It’ll start at 9:00,» the person who answered the phone confirmed.) Well… there was no music. Our meal — we both ordered shrimp and scallops over linguini — was pretty good. A $ 26 bottle of Merlot was vinegary.(Why my husband accepted it, is beyond me.) Our waiter, Kyle, was great: personable, efficient. But, I don’t know… We spent close to $ 100, and I thought it too much what we got. Lesson learned: stick to the early-bird.
