Loved this place, but it appears they are closed and moving to a new location. I don’t believe they’ve said where they are moving to.

My partner have driven by this place for about six months. Today it was the right time for lunch. I had the calamari and Caesar side salad. My partners had grilled Tilapia with yellow rice and roasted zucchini. We both agree that we definitely will return. The restaurant was spotless. The staff extremely engaging. Great dining experience!

Right next to McDonald’s but at the opposite end of the culinary spectrum lies this unsung little gem. The guy behind the register is funny and philosophical, and the food is delightful. You can eat inside which is busy and noisy at lunchtime, or sit at one of the parking lot adjacent sidewalk tables and watch the fast food zombies pass by on their way to an early second grave. For the price of an artery-clogging combo next door, you can get a fresh salad topped with piece of perfectly grilled fish of your choice. You deserve a break today, get on down to the Fishook; your best bet for a healthy lunch in this neighborhood.

We have gotten food from here when it was called by another name. We got take-away and I remember that it was just okay. By the time we got the meal home, which is about 3 – 4 miles, everything was pretty cold and not as appetizing. In this episode, we decided to give the place a new look and eat in for a quick and healthful dinner. We arrived around 6:30 on a Friday evening and the restaurant was pretty empty. Folks straggled in as the evening went on though. It turned out to be a bit busy. I will have to say that the counter service concept was a bit odd and off-putting, but simple enough to navigate. We just ordered, got a number, and sat. First thing up was the shrimp appetizer. They were out quickly and perfectly cooked. We enjoyed them with haste! The better half ordered the grilled snapper with mango apricot salsa and I ordered the mahi with piri piri mushrooms. I ordered a side of the grilled shrimp as well. For garnish, we both ordered rice. The wife also ordered the grilled asparagus and I ordered the grilled zucchini. Everything was cooked properly and tasted delicious with the exception of the grilled asparagus. It was way overcooked and limp. I will say that we enjoyed this quick pit stop and will be back for another episode.

I have driven by Fishook Grille on my way to and from work for years. Wife and I were in the area and decided to try. VERYFRIENDLY and talkative guy(owner/manager?) greeted us and made us feel very welcome and promised a good meal. It was good! You order at the counter and they bring it to the table. He let us sample the the Lobster Bisque – yum! We ordered a cup and it was tasty, but needed to about 10 degrees warmer in my opinion. The saltine crackers packets were both really stale though. My wife had the grilled shrimp, pasta salad and asparagus – all really good. I had the Mahi Mahi that was recommended by the nice guy at the counter. The Piri Piri Mushrooms were great. Grilled Zucchini-nice and the Roasted Corn and Black Bean Salad was some of the best I’ve had. We were the only ones dining in. Several other customers picked up their take out while we were there. Summary – healthy options, good food, something for everyone, very well priced, good sauces and sides. RECOMMEND! Enjoy…

I had a great lunch here today. Fish wasn’t swimming in oil, they let me substitute more veggies for the rice, and the service was great! Great healthy lunch, I recommend it.

I actually chose this restaurant because of its location and healthy menu. My husband and I were meeting another couple for lunch and thought this was a good option. When I arrived at the restaurant, i immediately felt uncomfortable,(bad vibes). I reviewed the menu but decided not to order anything. I just drank water and chatted up my friends. When the ordered food arrived, I noticed that the tilapia and rice looked very dry and unappetizing. My husband ordered the chicken but did not like it. Overall, I just didn’t think that the food looked fresh. Also, if you look at the tilapia with spicy mushroom photo, you can see that the mushrooms look like they are canned. Any restaurant selling canned veggies should automatically get one star but I’m feeling generous tonight. My spouse and I agree that we would not return to this restaurant. Not a fan.

This place is the best! Our staff love popping over for lunch or dinner and we always receive the BEST food and BEST service! We’ll even get samples of specials sometimes and when we’re really busy the staff deliver our food. From your neighbors at Roswell Urgent Care Center; thanks so much, Fishook!

So I started with the lobster bisque soup, which had a good flavor but ABSOLUTELYNOLOBSTER! Then I had the taco combo, one of each one. Word of advice… Don’t put the same exact topping of coleslaw on all three meats or they will all taste the same! That’s the problem I had. They had SOMUCH cole slaw on the tacos and plate they should be called Slawhook. My fiancé had the fish & chips. He had to soak the fish in hot sauce and vinegar to eat it. Before he added anything the fish was sooo bland. The chips(which were French fries) were good and they had the handy slaw on the plate too. I wouldn’t come back here or tell anyone to go either. Why the 2 stars instead of 1… Well my fiancé ate all the food which doesn’t mean much because he’ll eat anything. I’m just saying we didn’t leave there hungry. And the place was real clean.

I’ve given this place two chances and although the food is good, I’m not going back. The menu is pretty big and has a lot of good options for a fast casual place so if you’ve never been there before, it takes a few minutes to navigate the menu and figure out what you want. The first time I tried this place, I went in NOT during lunch rush so there was nobody there besides me when I arrived. The man behind the register(dark-haired guy with glasses who I believe is the manager) was annoyed that I was taking too long to order and when someone lined up behind me, rather than saying«Ma’am please take your time to decide, but meanwhile I’ll help the person behind you» I would have been MORE than happy to stand aside. But instead he said, «Ma’am it’s really not that hard.» Excuse me? I left and went *next door* to Moe’s for lunch. That was a few months ago. So two days ago I went back to Fishook(again, after the lunch rush, at about 2:30pm) to give the place another chance. Same guy greets me in a friendly way, so I think, «Cool, this is a good start!» I ordered grilled salmon with two sides(grilled zucchini and sweet potato fries.)($ 12.28 including a fountain drink) I sat down to wait for my lunch and they have free wifi. Regardless, I have no problem waiting 10 minutes for freshly grilled fish and veggies so that was fine. When he brought my lunch, it wasn’t salmon at all, but tilapia. Me: «This looks nice but I ordered salmon.» Him: «No, you said tilapia.» Me: «No, I ordered salmon, but this is fine I’ll eat it.»(Sidebar: I really didn’t care that it was tilapia. Tilapia is okay I just never order it unless it’s the only choice) Him: «I can show you the receipt.»(Sidebar: Um, if you keyed in tilapia when I said salmon *of course* the receipt will say tilapia. That doesn’t mean I ordered tilapia.) Me: «I don’t care what *the receipt* says, I ordered salmon. I would never order tilapia because I don’t love tilapia. But it’s fine I’ll eat it.»(Frankly I just wanted to eat some lunch and get on with my day so I didn’t care that they got my order wrong. It happens) He then offered to make me salmon if I could wait ten more minutes, which I declined and simply ate the tilapia. Which was delicious! And so was the zucchini. The spinach had way too much garlic so I left that uneaten. My point is this: The place seems clean. The food here is actually good. It’s cooked fresh and seems to be of quality. My experience was actually about 90% fine. The reason I won’t be back is the non-service attitude of this one person. On my first visit, he said«It’s really not that hard» when I was trying to figure out what I wanted. That was just a dumb thing to say to a brand new customer. Then the second time I came in, he ordered the wrong thing and then tried to prove that I was the one who ASKED for something I didn’t want. Again another dumb thing to do. I’m really not that fussy. Heck I worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and hey mistakes happen! Lord knows I’ve mis-ordered for a customer before. It happens. When you do that, you own your mistake and fix it. You don’t try to prove that the customer was in the wrong by saying«No you ordered…» and then saying«I can show you the receipt» just to prove that you’re RIGHT. In the service industry, you don’t assign blame, even if the customer DID order the wrong thing(which in this case I didn’t). You simply say«Oh I’m so sorry, I’ll have your order made correctly and it will be right out.» So yes the food is quite good(a bit on the pricey side for lunch but seems like a great value for dinner). I’m just not diggin’ the service. There are way too many fast casual options out there.

I eat here most Tuesdays, for their lunch special. The management is incredibly friendly. The food is healthy and at a great value, fills a niche. I get the salmon or mahi-mahi most days, but the piri piri chicken is very good too.

The husband and I finally got around to trying this place out tonight. We chose this place for two reasons, 1) the cheap prices and 2) we’ve been wanting seafood for awhile. I ordered the grilled tilapia and asked the manager/cashier for his recommendations for my fish topping and other side items. He suggested spicy mushroom sauce and grilled zucchini. He seemed to know what he was talking about, so I agreed. The husband ordered shrimp’n’grits and we also got an order for the appetizer shrimp and two fountain drinks. Our shrimp arrived in about 5 minutes, and our food in 10 minutes. The appetizer shrimp tastes very similar to the bang bang shrimp appetizer at Olive Garden. Perfectly crunchy without being overcooked and the bang bang sauce hit the spot! There was even some oriental-tasting coleslaw under the shrimp that was really tasty. When our food arrived, it looked amazing. The portions were pretty larger than I expected, but no complaints here! The tilapia was perfectly grilled — a light char but not soggy. And the seasoning was spot on. And the mushrooms… well, they were just mushrooms. It wasn’t really a sauce — more of a topping. And they weren’t spicy — just plain olé sauteed mushrooms. Meh. Then the yellow rice let me down. I was expecting my rice to be bursting with flavor, but sadly not. My rice was so boring that it couldn’t be saved. It was a lost cause. Thank goodness the grilled zucchini saved the day! Two large slabs of perfectly grilled zucchini went perfectly with my tilapia! There’s just something so simple and tasty about grilled veggies! I can’t get enough of them! But sadly, half my food was bland. The appetizer was my favorite part of this meal. The husband’s food was really good. The grits had teeny bits of andouille sausage in it that paired perfectly with his shrimp. And his shrimp! I’ve never seen so much shrimp in a shrimp’n’grits meals before. Two kabobs so full of shrimp that they were overlapping! I was pretty jealous. But being married now, what’s his is mine! :) Overall, the place had a big disconnect. They serve beer and wine, but our fountain drinks came in Sytrofoam cups. They play light swanky jazz music, but the interior looks like Captain D’s. It’s like they’re trying to be something their not, but they can’t decide what they’re trying to be. It was a weird vibe. Also, parking isn’t the best because it’s located at the end of a shopping center/out parcel building. If you have a hankering for some quick and cheap seafood, this is a good place.

This place is amazing! The service was fast and super friendly. I had the Mahi Mahi with Piri Piri mushrooms and my boyfriend had the Fish and Chips. Both were excellent, and I am from the coast. I can’t wait to go back and try the other items like the chicken and the tenderloin kabobs. Go to this place and you will not be sorry!

I like fish. All types really. This is a good little after work place for me to get my fish jones fixed without having to worry about cleanup. Not pricy. Wouldn’t necessarily take a date here, but when you are just looking for a decent fish dish and are all by your lonesome, it’s here for you.

Great place for lunch. We discovered it while driving along with coworkers to find a place to eat. Was a little tired of the places we go all the time for lunch, so for a little adventure. And it surely didn’t disappoint us. Fish tacos are good. Grilled asparagus delicious. Shrimp and grits, you get loads of shrimps. We later went back and brought more coworkers along. They all enjoyed it!

I had a not so good experience my first time at this location. Since then the Owner has aplogized repeatedly. I really appreciate the attention he gave to my review, I have never responded back to him, however I think any one who pays this much attention is worthy of a good review. Thank you G. M!!!

Unrealized potential. Originally opened as a Boneheads and later rebranded the FIshook, this location and menu have so much potential to really make a dent in the market. A very healthy offering of seafood and chicken, grilled vegetables, and now steak… all for under $ 10 in most cases. However, what I have found in repeat visits are insanely large amounts of oil in my meal. Often it feels drowned in it, and these are supposed to be grilled items. Same in the fish tacos, zucchini, dripping in oil. Potential, this place still has it. Concept of healthy, grilled fare for under $ 10. But this place leaves me wanting.

When I’m meeting a friend for lunch and intent on eating healthfully, I come to Fishook. I usually get a salad with grilled tilapia — and I thoroughly enjoy it. For dinner I’ve ordered sea bass, salmon, even chicken and it’s been consistently good. Fresh, never over-cooked. And there’s a good array of sides. While I agree with other posters that Fishook has a diner-like quality, the restaurant is clean and cheerful. Plus, you can sit and talk — a plus when I go out with friends — and they never hurry you along.
